I have this same machine can spray for around 16hrs per tank of diesel. It’s quiet comfortable. Great gps, great Bluetooth radio , has 3inch fill and it’s very reliable and has a 3 year warranty, our machine has completed 1900hrs in about 19 months and we love it.

Yeah I dunno 🤷‍♂️ I was told that the EU sprayer is different from this one, they added some more power and made some tweeks to the NA sprayers .
I know the GPS is bad because it's Waas, and that's a terrible signal, teh worst you can run around here, but it can be upgraded like anything.
There is 3in load, but only on the side, which we don't use.

You will use and need the step when you top up the hydraulic oil rank. You will also get a more responsive transmission if you set the cruise control to the “+” setting. We use around 160litres of diesel doing around 500 acres, but ours was one of the last without def.

Good video! Well I guess the Pantera is primarly build for Europe what means narrow roads, limited top speed and small fields. A custom sprayer guy there is probably pretty happy with that exact fill feature but in your operation spraying full loads 9,9 times out of 10 it doesnt make much sense! Greetings from Uruguay

I have issues with your comments. I have worked my entire life trying to over complicate things and over design things and this, in my view is a perfect design. One for us engineers to strive for. I would have never thought of putting mini compartments inside of another compartment. Shear genius! Having the electric ball valve on the other side of from the control panel is easily fixed by adding another $10K-$20K screen in the front and provides us engineers more things to program and build. Great idea for a new feature! Thanks. The origami step is a beautiful design for making sure your not inebriated before allowing you to drive. Again, pure genius! For having to constantly move the boom up and down, .. seems like a land owner issue to me. You can easily fixed this by renting a few really large Caterpillar scrapers. This would give you something to do instead of farming and allow you to diversify your skills. :) :) :)
BTW, how much of what you learn here is from doing it and how much is from reading the manual while running it?

And the Hardi Rubicon comes with 4.35 times bigger diesel fuel tank than this Amazone Pantera.
The Hardi Rubicon has a 1000 liter (264 gal.) diesel fuel tank vs. only 230 liter (61 gal.) on this Amazone Pantera 4503.

I can see you are using the Amazone Pantera 4503-W (Wide) version with a track width adjustment: of 2.25 - 3.00 m. The standard 4503 version only has a track width of 1.80 - 2.40 m in comparison. There's also a 4503-H (Heigh) version with up to 1.70 m clearance vs. 1.20 m for 4503 and 4503-W. But the track width is only a maximum of 2.60 m at full height for the 4503-H.
The Hardi Rubicon has a track width of 3.0 - 4.0 m in comparison and a clearance height of 1.85 m. That's the same track width as Apache 1240 btw.

Hi Mike just watched this video. Machine does seem over complex. And that monitor does seem like overkill for what your needing to do with it. After running my apaches and terra gators. As to the monitor i have viper 4, topcon x30 and x20. I find now that i have the x30 set up its easy to use for me easier than the viper 4 it seems when i get in the viper 4 machines i think i have way to many pages to go thru to get a job set up lol. All in what you get use to i guess. I run the x30 in the machine i run because of the custom work it remembers all my guide lines so when i use my crop spec real time variable rate sensors i can run the same wheel tracts when i make multiple trips. As to the autosteer doing bad things at high speed thats all in how its adjusted i have got my so close now that i can follow a john deere rtk system and all i'm running is wasp Otherwise the viper 4 would be all we would run. Look forward to your next video.

Wil Hudson Yes, tractors are capable of going up to 37 mph (60 kph) But at least in Germany you than have to pay tolls on some federal roads. Also your tractor (and trailer) have to undergo a half annually safety inspection, additionally to your yearly technical inspection (if your tractor is over 10t of weight). So yes, technically European tractors are able to drive fairly quick, but due to some regulations it‘s just to much of a hustle for most and they end up limiting their top speed electronically to avoid it. Although many contractors with big fleets often times exploid this top speed because for them time is even more money than for the normal farmer.

The reason you have to go down the ladder backwards Mike is simple, SAFETY, in the UK, when you have to take a test on a computer and then an assessment on site, you have to climb into your vehicle and have 3 points of contact to access and exit your vehicle, it's far safer to exit plant equipment backwards, yes I know it's different on farms, but England is mad for rules, I don't agree with all of them, but if you don't pass your exams, get your sperate licence for EVERY piece of equipment, you don't work. Hey Mike love your videos man. I live in the states in southwest Iowa. That sprayer kind of looks and sounds like a piece of crap. I would take my R4038 John Deere any day over that thing. I'm a certified applicator and I hope to never run into one of those things.

You should be using your global home screen. And you also don’t have the monitor set up right.

I didn't set it up, I expect that to be done by the manufacturer - who was down with 3 people representing them and 1 from the dealer.

Mike, it seems like you need a sprayer built on a truck chassis. That way you could do 70mph down the roads to get to your fields. With the crops you grow, how much clearance do you really need?

I have sprayed alot acres in a truck mounted sprayer back in the day

Trucks are rough as guts in the field
And they really only have 8in of clearance under the front axle
2wd and little tyres add to the problems
We still have the V8 Mercedes sitting out the back of the shed returning to dust
Had a 3000lt tank and a 60ft boom with blog dobber markers
No exhaust no clutch and no brakes
That old bitch was totally different to modern equipment no being gentle and looking after the gear
Hit a hill in the field? Smash it back to bog cog and put the pedal though the floor and hold on if you stop your stuffed
We had 2 seat belts out of a Datsun pick-up that crossed over so it was sort like a farmer's 6 point harness
They make much better trucks now around the hinos and izusu 4x4 trucks
But they still use little truck tyres
Even tug along sprayers are rough compared to self propelled sprayers
Tractors just aren't ment to do 40kph 24mph across a field

Mike!!!!! that thing has me frusterated and i am not even in the cab!!!The flimsy storage covers everywhere, the latches, waiting for the very dangerous ladder to go up,Who has 2 inch FILL!!?And the icons and symbols and navigation of the monitor function....I can feel the frusteration in your voice.Too bad you have to empty your bank account to run a machine that runs like nothing else. Mike please beg your brother for a day in the 4060.Wanna see what you think of it.

I know this video is about the Pantera but how many acres can you do in a day with the spray plane and how does it compare to the sprayers?

    • @mikemitchell2554
      @mikemitchell2554  4 роки тому +7

Depending completely on the wind and weather.. Like an SP unit u can double shift and run in the wind... We don't have 2 pilots, and spraying half a day in the plane is as exhausting as spraying 16hrs in the SP unit..
But hopefully as much to over double one SP unit..
