  • ** So theses are my thoughts so far as I am spraying with it, keep in mind I am talking to you guys as I am thinking about them (real time) It's an on the fly telling what I think as I go.. Haha
    ** Correction: I was told the the 5 blue buttons off to the side are in fact my manual sectional control, I ll try that out here soon.
    ** I like the sprayer, it seems tough, and has a pretty good amount power, quite responsive with the sensitivity of the joystick adjusted.
    ** I look forward to learning more about the sprayer and keeping you guys up to date, I am sure I missed some features, so feel free to point them out, and I ll try to cover them in the next video
    ** Keep in mind that theses videos are delayed by
    up to a week. So if you want to be up to date and follow me around with what's going on and short clips of either breakdowns, screw ups, and random Mike crazies... Also, Ashtyn and I have been touring around Saskatchewan, those photos and lenses will only be on Patreon. So head over to check it out... 🙂 click on this link and follow me on Patreon.
    Oh, and once you are in the Fendt tiers and up, you also watch the UA-cam videos early and ad free (and that's nice) 🤷‍♂️🙂

    Otherwise, stay awesome! 🙂.

    You can go from forward to reverse by holding the trigger and tipping the joystick to the left and vice versa, one of the best features of the joystick IMO

    I truly believe you do an AWESOME JOB of explaining the pros & cons of the various equipment you use.
    The various manufacturers should treat you to “ALL EXPENSE PAID TRIPS” in the off season where you demo their equipment in various parts of the world so the manufacturer develops a SUPERIOR PIECE OF EQUIPMENT.

    Another great feature that can be added to machines with Viper 4 controllers with Slingshot is Job Sync. This feature allows shared coverage maps between machines so the section control will turn off automatically where another machine already sprayed. The combined map from the group of machines in the field is sent in with combined acreage and as-applied info all wireless through Slingshot.

    Yeah there is a way to get around that 26 mph code. It’s not as complicated as you might think. But it will definitely void your warranty if agco finds out. Also they want you to extend the outer ones first is because of hazards. If you have booms extended near a road, trees or whatever the booms will be 20 feet further behind you. I usually open up the main booms and then open the outer.

    Hi, Mike on your case sprayers you should be able to unplug the sensor on the foot brake, then it doesn’t come to a screaming holt when you touch it . It then works like a regular foot brake. That’s how I fixed it on my 3330 and 3230. Great videos 👏🏻👏🏻Watching from South Africa 🇿🇦

Nothing satisfies you. I’ve watched a lot of your videos and try so hard to enjoy them, and for the most part I do. If you didn’t complain about every little thing it would be top notch material!

    Mike the john deere has manual buttons on the comand arm but it also has a start to shut off from left and start to shut of from right button on the multifuntion handle.So each time you hit the one button on one side it turns of a section on that side of the boom, and then press the button on the other side as many times you want and it turn the sections on one by one just like you turned then off, and then a button in the center to quickly turn them all on at the same time however many you had shut off. I like the Apache best so far from all you demoed.

    I am not the biggest Deere fan myself but from watching him trying out sprayers I think he would actually like it. My biggest complaint about the new Deere sprayers is that they are kinda loud and that I think the auto boom could be better. But other than that it's a pretty nice sprayer but it takes Mike to find the other cons.

    Mike, do you have water trucks bring your supplies to you? You seem to do a lot of driving from yard to field?
    Also, a farm your size I’m surprised to hear you use jugs. I use totes as much as I can just speed things up and stay away from smelling as much chemical as I can.
    At the end of the day you will still be using Case Patriots. That’s what I use and to me they are the cadillac.
    You are fortunate to be able to demo so much equipment. Guess with your size dealers will do anything to get you into their product.

    • @mikemitchell2554
      @mikemitchell2554  4 роки тому +3

      Hey Dave, we are money ahead to road them if we are with in a 6-8 mile run from either the farm or one of many load stations. Saves on man power, and multiple trucks as we don't all spray together for logistical reasons.
      I much prefer jugs - except for roundup and bravo or liberty.. I don't have to buy multiple Chem pumps, worry about guys cleaning them properly, or calibrating them for every different Chem..
      Dont have to worry about needing power for them, keeping them working, getting recked, getting forgotten - if you don't ha w the pump it just shut all the sprayers down.
      Dont have to worry about them sucking out on tote, running the pump empty but yet it's still counting litres, then they hook it up to a full one and and it's counting litres again as it's getting primed.. So.. It just eliminates alot of potential screw ups
      . I like load 4 jugs of this and 2 of that and done.

    Mike, the brake pedal actually has two levels of engagement. With a lighter push to the pedal it will slow you down and work in conjunction with your joystick as you were hoping. With a harder push to the pedal it will react as anti-lock brakes for emergency stopping.
    The unit you are running does not have the one-touch-fold option available with the Millenium boom since it was one of the earlier units with Millenium boom and that feature was not completely released yet. Current units are released with one touch fold on the Millenium boom from the factory. The one touch fold button is on the right hand arm rest in the center section of buttons. Also, as you were referencing in the video, you can manually do both the tip unfold and the inner section unfold simultaneously with the Millenium boom.
    The manual section control can be achieved through the 5 blue perimeter buttons on the right hand controls. push once to turn off and push again to turn on. The light on the switch indicates if it is on or off. When it is flashing it is in standby mode.

Also with recirculatin you wouldn’t have blow booms out you can just product and and run that and get new chemical primed into boom as well. Does the one touch fold not work on this machine?

    Can you modify your GIS coverage map with 'no spray zones? Another idea, modify the shape file to show the no-spray zones as already sprayed. Either way, if you can mod the GIS data, the auto shut off would kick in, saving you the aggregation of the clunky manual shut off of individual nozzles. Just spit-ballin'.

    Why dont you use the auto boom fold? Also you can adjust the response to speed up or slow down faster or slower, also the rpm when in auto (eco) is also customizable on the monitor on the arm rest. Also you dont have to squeeze the trigger and move the handle back to go to reverse, you can set a customized speed and move the handle towards you and it will shuttle to forward or reverse

      Been running rogators for years and the biggest problem I have is the boom mast slides and hoses breaking because of the constant bending they do from going up and down if you could take a look at it we have 3” high flow pumps and the product line won’t lady a year and when they pop the tank drains so fast you lose all you products in the tank before you can notice it’s busted

    I'd love to know what your equipment cost (depreciation, maintenance, repairs and capital cost) is per seeded acre. You seem to get good utilization on every piece, but the hours per year is probably still pretty low and the depreciation on new equipment must be through the roof because 5 year old equipment lists for about 25% of same new piece.
    How many acres did you seed in 2020 ?
    I loved your comment about not using a quad track on a grain cart.

    Any idea if you're gonna get to try the Fendt version of the Rogator as well? This Rogator seems to be very "Americanized", which may not be a good thing. Now I don't know if the Fendt version is much better, but if you get a chance, I'd be interested in seeing it.

      Isn’t the Amazone he tried out almost identical to the eu fendt

    • @timderks5960
      @timderks5960 4 роки тому

      @Wikkitt Klown That's an opinion, and a lousy one at best. Real farming isn't done in NA, not even close. In NA you just throw it down and hope for the best, since the fields are so large that you don't need to care about efficiency , it's easier to go at a higher speed or larger working width.
      The Fendt version is far from the same. It's a completely different model to start off with, more similar to the Amazone. The Fendt 665 also has a larger tank (over 1000l more). HP isn't comparable, since Americans don't like mentioning how they got their HP numbers, unlike their European counterparts that simply state which ISO method they used, as it should be. European farming vehicles are also usually faster. The Fendt Rogator can do 50kmh, which probably means it'll do 60.
      You can keep on spewing on European farming as much as you want, but without providing facts, you're just making a fool of yourself and your country.

      @@edwardmonken4562 I don't know. It looks similar, but since Fendt is part of the AGCO group, and Amazone (as far as I can tell) is still a single company, I can't imagine them being anything alike, other than design. That being said, pretty much every European sprayer looks like the Amazone Mike tested: Damman, Lemken, Fendt, Amazone, Agrifac, etc..

    • @edwardmonken4562
      @edwardmonken4562 4 роки тому

      The main difference between the eu and us sprayers are the same as all the other equipment eu has less width because of road restrictions where as us can be much wider on the roads which mean ours can be larger plus they are more stable on hillsides but our field sizes are larger to so it fits each area I also noticed the booms on the Amazone only run a two beam boom whereas the us ones have a three beam which makes it a lot stronger
