Hey guys, there has been a lot of questions about my digestion and I didn't quite address it in the vid. Over the week, I honestly didn't have a lot of issues. I didn't have excessive gas (probably less in fact), and my shits were surprisingly solid. Altho, I wasn't as regular as I usually am. I realize some people are more sensitive to protein and milk products, but I seem to be the lucky few that doesn't have a lot of problems with it. Glad everyone is enjoying the video!
Great video, Would be interesting to see a future video on those so called meal replacement drinks they advertise as well such as Optislim, Basically a protein shake but with all the other stuff(vitamins/minerals) needed, See if they are BS or actually get you through a week or two. I have tried them all but it doesn't feel right, I need some sort of solid food to feel full/complete.
Mark Bells chocolate Steak Shake is next level in terms of nutrition and flavor. No heavy organ taste but you get a lot more nutrition without the gimmick of "BCAAs." Just solid animal based nutrition. I'm also also surprised you didn't do milk to add in some extra calories. All those shakes with just water?
@@RagdyAndy protein shakes are protein powder mixed in some sort of liquid. Water isn’t the only liquid one can use to make a protein shake. I almost exclusively use milk in mine, whether it’s no fat or full cream. Milk would have been acceptable.
Dude, eat salt. There's almost zero sodium in what you're drinking. What you're describing with your mood is exactly how I felt attempting to do a water fast before I discovered you NEED to consume salt to keep hydrated and not die.
I survived 29days without salt. Just water. You have to prepare your body for it tho. Your body improves your reserves in your liver the longer you last without food, vitamins, minerals, salts. You just gotta train it. The human body is amazing! Learn about it and improve your life!
The misery of a crash diet and the joy of real food again is so hard to explain to those whom have never experienced it. You captured these moments perfectly!
Haha facts i did "carnivore" for a week never again!! Then i stumbled upon rian fischer he suggested carnivore/fruit its wayyyy better carbs and sugar are always my problem but with fruit i add a sprinkle of stevia "sugar" and boom my cravings are gone with plenty of carbs to rehydrate while i sleep
I wanted to add a bit of info about Protein powders in general from a Urologist point of view. Many people that get Kidney Stones have had diets in which they consumed protein drinks of various types. Usually admitting they didn't drink enough water etc and you see the way we are going here. IF you are going to take copious amounts of protein shakes, please drink extra fluids to help flush out your system or you could be at higher risk of calcium stones. That's what my Urologist tells me anyways. I learned the painful lesson so I'm just passing it along. lol
I broke my jaw 5 weeks into contest prep for bodybuilding. I was determined to still compete so i had to turn every meal in my macros into a shake. I threw salmon, chicken or steak, rice or potato, veggies, with broth and water into a blender. The whey protein shakes were the highlight of my day. Actually managed to place well.
Don’t ever blend a salad and drink it. I did it in college while in a hurry to get to class and it was quite possibly the worst thing I’ve ever tasted. You wouldn’t think so but trust me.
@@EatmyGymshorts honestly, continuing with contests prep was to keep my mental health in check. I didn't just break my jaw, I knocked out teeth too...just from a stupid accident goofing off. Staying focused on competition was what kept me from getting super depressed.
Funnily enough I did something similar in my mid 20's. I ate almost nothing but Met-Rx meal replacement shakes and protein bars for a couple of months. Except for *extreme* constipation I felt fine lol. Let me tell you a vanilla protein shake blended up with a couple of teaspoons of coffee is a great breakfast!
@@wombat5252 You assume right. I'd just moved out of my parents house and didn't know how to cook so I just put up with the same 4 flavours over and over again out of necessity.
You might not like this if you're a coffee nerd but blending your protein with your morning coffee (and maybe a lil milk/oatmilk whatever) as your liquid is also delicious :)
Respect dude. I was forced to do this diet for 6 weeks because of a jaw surgery. I dropped a lot of weight from the caloric deficit but the mental wear down is intense
@@Jafmanz blending food still is worse than eating it solid, will still create mental wear down, and will still cause you to lose A LOT of weight, whether this guy is lying, exaggerating, or being fully truthful. Blending food fucks with digestion and how the body responds to the food you put in your body.
@@assass7012 he said he lost a lot of weight from the calorific deficit. I'm saying that calorific deficit was not needed. If you blend up the right food you can gain weight with EASE! the main issue with not chewing is that chewing triggers various responses in the body and not being able to chew or choosing not no chew changes things a little. he was not forced to drink protein shakes.. he could have had a balanced diet and a calorie surplus. he couldn't be bothered to take the time to blend proper food...
@@Jafmanz I agree with the caloric deficit and the fact he should have drank more than just protein but I'm saying he would lose weight regardless because of how your body reacts to pre-chewed (blended) food. That's one of the most common if not the most common side effects of having your jaw wired shut
Absolutely love your content fellas. Pointing out in the BS within the fitness industry, doing the crash diets then showing how fast it can go back to normal. 🙏
Indeed if not worse because your body goes into survival mode and stores fat. Because it thinks you are starving to death. The body is magical. Work hard and no short cuts sadly😊
It’s how you end the diet that matters. I went from 334lbs to 290lbs in 2 weeks of doing the same thing except I drank a gal of water and a cup of Gatorade for electrolytes. I went on a very high protein, low carb diet right after and got down to 270lbs after another month. I was able to keep the weight off for the past 2 years but my dad died last year and I went into a depression and just started eating too much. Just got back up to 292lbs after getting down to 250lbs. Also after the third or fourth day of a no carbs/ no fats your body will actually start using the stored fat for energy
I've been doing this for over a year. My drinks have raw eggs in though. I call it enhanced protein shakes. I drink three a day. I may eat some fruit now and again. I'm an ex-competitive bodybuilder and I am currently in the best shape of my life at 54. Better than when I even competed. I have permanent six pack abs.
@@juanluhna3229 In a blender: 2 large raw eggs (I've gone up to 4 but mainly stick to 2 now). Make up to 500ml with Semi-Skimmed milk. Half a small scoop (about a tablespoon) of Milk Shake powder. (This act as an anti-foaming /anti-sticking agent). Whisk quickly for 1 second to coat the inside of the blender. (this will stop the whey sticking to the inside). I don't use the scoop that comes with my whey powder as it's too small I use a 90ml scoop. I 90ml scoop (condensed) of 80% Whey powder. Condensed means I push the scoop against the side of the container to compact it. I may add anything up to another scoop depending on my goals. Whisk and then drink. Now here is the interesting thing. If I eat even the smallest of meals (Just 1 a day) I actually start to smooth over and I start to put on fat around my abs.
10 pound loss was a good amount of water. Everyone who starts keto drops several pounds in the first week because without carbs you shed water. That’s why you have to make sure that you’re supplementing with electrolytes (the reason why you felt like shit). I switched to keto because I was damned if I was going to shoot up insulin to control my diabetes. It works.
Keto is great for diabetes. Almost a cure, so long as you don't go wild eating loads of calories. It's not great for lifting heavy-ass weights, but hey. Priorities.
Nah the reason you feel like shit is it takes a couple weeks for your brain to learn how to get fuel from ketones instead of relying entirely on glucose
@@raiden031 exactly, you need to become metabolically flexible. I can switch to ketones very quickly these days. I get great workouts in, and have energy for days. Pumped right now from a great weights session,
ending made me laugh. Just starting my fitness journey at 33. Maintaining 3-4x a week training and a balanced diet, feel a hell of a lot better. 12 weeks in, tone is coming in and getting stronger, not a whole lot of hypertrophy though. taking pics, measurements, and weekly averages for weight. Hopefully see some big changes come 6 months. Great content brother
I did this in college because it’s all I had to eat. Protein and oatmeal. I ate 2 or 3 bowls of oatmeal a day with a scoop of protein powder and I worked out with resistance bands and I was in the best shape of my life. A year of doing that was great. Then I went back home and ate regular food and lost it all hahaha
Another video with a great idea. Can you provide us with more details about your digestion during the challenge and the first day after while eating straight regular normal food? I think this will be important information as well! Thank you for your time buff bros!
I've done it before and digestion after the challenge works just fine. There's no discomfort or negative blowback from not consuming solid food for a week
@@carvedouttastone Grateful for the reply, Shawn! I tend to agree that the body can adjust to anything, but this change is sudden, this is why i was wondering! Thank you! Would like to hear more and other opinions as well from other people! Cheers, brother!
This is just like the Velocity Diet that T nation use to always bring up. I think the original had 6 days of only protein shakes and then on day 7 you got to eat a single real food meal. With any high protein diet after week 1 you would have to start taking fibre supplements other wise you will get constipation
As a nearly 300 lb 34 year old guy just beggining to seriously try to get fit, I actually feel waaaayyy better replacing most of my food with protein shakes. My diet was garbage. I drank a 2 litre of Dr pepper or Pepsi every day, and only ate one meal a day, usually an entire medium pizza. I'm 1 week off pop entirely and having protein shakes for breakfast and lunch, while still eating solid food for dinner. I feel better than I have in 14 years
If this is real then congratulations and fantastic job. You took a huge step by realizing the severity of your condition. 2 shakes, just water and a solid meal of chicken/steak with veggies will get you down. STAY. THE. COURSE.
I loved off of protein shakes (Isopure Zero Carb Cookies and Cream) for a year in 2016/17 while I was unemployed and living in my car. Was still powerbuilding like I was before I was homeless. It definitely gave insight on my body's "starvation mode" as I struggled to get below 190lbs, but it also showed me how little I actually needed to function, obviously suboptimally, but still function.
Can you tell a bit more of your experience with this? How old were you? How much protein powder per day? What was the rest of your diet like? You mentioned that you lifted/exercise? We’re you drinking lots of water as well?
@@krystalmarie5637 I was 23/24. 100g of protein and 2tbsp of peanut butter a day. I was unemployed except for my weekend a month with the national guard so money was extra tight. I quite literally lived off of protein shakes. I was exercising twice a day as I was trying to re-join active duty Army, but with my size and frame, getting under 190 (where the Army wanted me to be) was a struggle.
Some of the best artists truly suffered for their art, right? Honestly though, a great way to drive the message home. Fuel for the body is varied and balanced. Thanks for this one!
I had to do this for 2 weeks before my gastric sleeve surgery and then 2 weeks after then 2 weeks puréed foods. I was training 4 hrs a day on it including CrossFit and triathlon. It was crazy but I did lose 130 lbs and have kept it off 5 yrs now. I had all the skin surgeries 36k later. Suffered from pcos for half my life and couldn’t lose weight on 1600 cals training like a demon for 8 yrs. so I had the gastric surgery. Many of my CrossFit friends had no idea how I was training in the heat living on protein shakes for 2 weeks in the summer heat in DC but I did it and lived to tell my story
I have a cousin that’s been on the whole 0 carb diet for like 2 years. He’s into it so much that we had 0 carb mashed potatoes made of cauliflower this year for thanksgiving at his house. He goes to the gym religiously! We were talking about it and he’s wondering why his gains are almost nonexistent. I told him it was obvious to me what the problem was but he thinks the diet he’s on is perfect and can do no harm lol. I even asked him when did your gains slow down? When did you start this diet? And even though his gains slowed down about a month after he started it he still doesn’t think that could be the reason lol. Nobody can get him to knowingly eat a carb. Our bodies need carbs! It’s ok to go low carb. You definitely don’t want to over do it on carbs. But none at all. I tired the diet myself a while back and felt like crap. I was about to stop but was told I just needed to give it more time. So I went a whole 6 months on it. I never got better and actually lost strength in the gym. When I got back on the carbs it was like I was in the newbie gains stage again. Yes protein is important but don’t overlook carbs. We need a complete well rounded diet.
The man isn't even lying. My go to diet was to go carbs on only two meals out of per day. Bread and an energy drink for breakfast and a side of pasta or rice with my after work or after workout meal. The important ting is that I ate low carb veggies with every meal, usually spinach or broccoli. My lifts went up in a single week and I would lose as much as 10 lb in a week. Sadly, this weight loss wasn't permanent. The snap back would even things out. Moral of the story is to remember that fast weigh loss is a pipe dream for most people. Effective weight loss has to be done slowly. Ideally, you don't want to lost weight faster than around a half a pound per week. Anything else will come back violently. The body is designed to overcome hardship. It will fight a rapid weight loss tooth and nail. It will usually fight so hard that you will usually gain the weight back and then some. You are far better off chipping away slowly. Massive changes tend to make the body panic and over correct. If you want to lose 20 lbs, for example, figure out how to lose it over 40 weeks if you really want it to last. Take this example and a grain of salt. Do it safely, your body will thank you.
Done this before, was using 100% unflavoured whey isolate 200g, 50g butter and 2 liters of black coffee, I lost 7kg in the week but days 6-7 were a real struggle for me I found that I could do 5 days comfortably and then 2 days carnivore rinse and repeat. Biggest downside for me was the very loose stools and just trying to force feed the protein powder as it taste terrible after the first day
First of all, this is hilarious. How have I not found you all before? Also, very informative. Patience is soooo hard but worth it. Thank you for suffering for the rest of us.

Back in the 90’s the first high quality, effective protein drink was introduced: Met-Rx. People did all sorts of trial diets. Some people drank only Met-Rx for two months, with incredible results. These were men who were lifting, but who would benefit from losing very large amounts of body fat. Consuming only Met-Rx transformed their appearance. A lean body builder was hiding underneath a lot of body fat. It was common for men and women to consume only Met-Rx for up to two months.

9mo recovery ankle recon & fusion. Wish I had adapted and did any body weight, band, core, upper body & leg workouts vs wasting away 99% of the time after this past ankle surgery . I got chastised for doing laps with my knee scooter! Go fig that that activity increased pain of my ankle. Brutal recovery…worse than my lumbar & cervical fusions and knee replacement! Play hard…rehab hard😂
I used to make a disgusting concoction of whey protein, oats, and olive oil blended into a shake 3x/day for perfect macros and an exact calorie deficit. Works extremely well for as long as I could stick to it. Big differences after a week. Worth it sometimes.
Thanks for going through this for us. I was literally thinking about doing this recently, so your video was very helpful. I am going to do the same for a week, just to fast track as I really only need to lose 10lbs and do not want to do it over 2 months. Great video production and your sense of humour is on point with Marvel's Thor. It's literally like watching Thor in a reality tv fitness series haha! Keep it up man - so entertaining and educational. Definite subscribe just for the entertainment value. Cheers.
My bodyfat percentage had started climbing to 17%, and was stubbornly staying there; for the last three weeks, I started skipping dinner, and just drinking my whey protein and casein, and am back down to 12 -13% bodyfat. And I am back to eating throughout the day, and staying at about 12% bodyfat - the rough patch is over
If you made them with milk it would probably not be that bad. Milk has a pretty nice balance of carbs, fats and protein by itself. It would also make the shakes actually taste good lol. If you added some fruits for fiber and micronutrients and blended it all you'd be golden for a while probably.
Exactly, you can add peanut butter, banans, milk to protein shakes and you will never be hungry, I don't get who defined protein shakes as only the powder with water.
Based on your sense of humor in these videos, I know we would be great friends in real life. Very good humor guys, you make all of this natural and real-life-like. Keep going!
This was great... actually very enjoyable. But what you said is spot on, people tend to think extreme diets are the only way to approach weight or fat loss and only want fast results.

I must say something I've learned recently....if u can't stomach the taste of protein powder with water, or u don't like those premade muscle milks, mix the 2 together. I absolutely hated muscle milk. One day I added a scoop of iso pure vanilla protein powder with a bottle of chocolate muscle milk. I shook it up and it tastes so much better. I do this pretty much all the time now. The only pre made protein drinks that taste good to me by themselves are the fairlife brand. They actually taste like milk.
this is a really good and funny video about a diet week. I couldn't finish 2 days. And those reactions to the real foods after the diet is spot on....🤣
Protein shakes have been the foundation of my diet for about 3 years or so. Usually 2 large shakes with some other normal meal in between. It's so damn easy to drink shakes for most of my food. Used to be a hard gainer, now I'm constantly trying to keep the weight off 😅
lo love you guys, ive done your chicken and broccoli for 2 weeks lost 12 lbs, also did your salad one, this one seems too crazy for me I'm a powerlifter at 320 lbs
This was an eye opener. I always think I’m gonna try this and get into day one and my willpower is crap and I eat. I’m glad you performed this challenge so I could watch and see if it worked. It’s not sustainable & eating food is definitely more fun. My favorite part was the face when you saw the eggs and bacon! That part was great 😆😂
I actually do this few times a year. I definitely have to make sure I get at least 3000 calories per day of shakes due to the fact that I run about 20 miles a week. Also each shake I drink is about 1.5L so I do get full😅
I did this for 4 weeks based on Testosterone Nation's Velocity Diet. By the end of 28 days I woke up on a pillow saturated with blood from my gums which had been bleeding so bad from inaction from not eating solid food.
Not eating solid food is really bad for your health. I remember breaking my jaw when I was a kid and the agony of not being able to chew anything was one of the worst experiences. My mother said she remembers me crying for something to chew but since my jaw was wired shut there was nothing she could do until I healed.
Dude, seven days is too long to do protein shakes with just water. You at least have to add some milk, and juice and possibly some fish oil and olive oil. I mean you know you gotta keep it healthy too. There’s no way you’re gonna get enough nutrition within that. Also, if you’re using a protein powder that is extremely low in fat and carbs. That’s gonna be horrible. You’re gonna be basically in an active starvation.
Idk about doing a whole week 😂 I was thinking just a day to see what would happen so I’m curious to know what’s your fav protein powder or overall best protein powder when it comes to just mixing it with water or milk in a shaker cup as well as in the blender. I find that optimum nutritions whey protein comes out watery in the blender compared to others I’ve used. Greta video btw !
Ive literally done this for yrs, started right after college(late 2018) cause i worked a ton of hours and was never home, basically live off protein powder and whatever carb/fat source i want, usually blueberry donuts, pb&j’s or literally whatever is convenient. Can down my “meal” in like 60 seconds or less. Maximizes time and saves hella money as i paying minimal amount for my food maybe 100$ a month for 2 5lb tubs of protein and donuts and quick snacks are cheap, just equate the calories u need to maintain, bulk or cut. I take vitamins and greens to balance any nutrients i may or may not be getting and try to eat 1 “real” meal a day just for variety sake but tbh its not really that big a deal to me. No intestinal/digestive problems and all my health markers have been good. My gf and friends say im nuts though and say i live like im in prison but to me its just the most efficient way ive found to operate and have more time to be productive lol.
You said you try to eat 1 real meal a day, and have donuts and greens so you aren't literally doing it at all. If you were literally doing it you wouldn't be eating anything else
Did this before. I was definitely getting those house deprived headaches every now and again. I eventually leveled out. Once I ate normal I felt normal but I will say, I was so much more conscious and focused that week. Everything I did mattered. I didn’t gain the weight back like that over night though so that was good. I lost about the same 10 but gained maybe 2 back. Then again I have much more body fat than him so yeah.
Here's what happened: The CDC declared Brandon's bathroom a biohazard zone and deemed it unsuitable for human access until the year 2099. At least, that's my guess before watching
How much weight did you actually gain after resuming your normal diet did the weight stay off? Planning a 3 week bulk 1 week cut for the next 3 months so this interests me. Already dropped 24lbs since August on a steady, healthy cut I don't want to add an more fat.
I was just listening to this while drinking a Smoothie amongst other multitasking and when the "cookbook moment" came up it caught me by surprise to say the least. 😅😭😂 as a new subscriber love the humour

YES it would, and you missed the point of this video. You do not need protein supplements you can find it all on your plate. They are convenience not a must. Among other things, you need carbs to replace glycogen and fat to to regulate your hormonal balance. Keep your macros balanced with in your daily caloric budget ang you'll be fine. Intake 1 gram of protein per pound of your body weight and 0.3 gram of fat min. per pound of body weight and remaining caloric budget divide between carbs and fats. Make sure you have fiber in your diet too. That is the point of this video, keep your diet balanced and don't rush it. Consider taking your sperm to the bank if you not over forty, prolong TRT tends to suppress natural testosterones production and often that suppression may be permanent.

Can someone's scientifically explain why this is not working for weight loss if you're only taking in 1200 calories in protein you should be losing weight....
Your body is going to retain as much water, carbs, and fat as possible as a survival mechanism because you're not eating real food and your body knows it and goes into survival mode. Your body needs to hold onto these things bc that's what it uses to properly run your organ functions optimally.

My guess his maintenance is around 3k calories which would have made him lose around 4lbs in the week, the rest is likely due to weight fluctuations, bloating, water etc.

I learned the painful lesson so I'm just passing it along. lol

Thank you so much for the advice. I'm on the road a lot for work. I'll remember to stop and get my water in every two hrs at least.
Would you say a gallon of water a day is enough for a 250lb man looking to get down to 220?
I broke my jaw 5 weeks into contest prep for bodybuilding. I was determined to still compete so i had to turn every meal in my macros into a shake. I threw salmon, chicken or steak, rice or potato, veggies, with broth and water into a blender. The whey protein shakes were the highlight of my day. Actually managed to place well.
Don’t ever blend a salad and drink it. I did it in college while in a hurry to get to class and it was quite possibly the worst thing I’ve ever tasted. You wouldn’t think so but trust me.

@@assass7012 he said he lost a lot of weight from the calorific deficit. I'm saying that calorific deficit was not needed. If you blend up the right food you can gain weight with EASE!

It’s how you end the diet that matters. I went from 334lbs to 290lbs in 2 weeks of doing the same thing except I drank a gal of water and a cup of Gatorade for electrolytes. I went on a very high protein, low carb diet right after and got down to 270lbs after another month. In a blender:
2 large raw eggs (I've gone up to 4 but mainly stick to 2 now).

This was lovely to see you talk about food in such a positive way!!
Your content is so great man, keep doing what your doing! Thank you

You said you try to eat 1 real meal a day, and have donuts and greens so you aren't literally doing it at all. If you were literally doing it you wouldn't be eating anything else
@@garethjones5853 ok bro
now that liver king came clean, what you going to do
Did this before.
Lol!!!! That was probably the funniest ending of a UA-cam video I have ever seen
the MTV Cribs with the half-speed replay was hilariously perfect
Here's what happened:
The CDC declared Brandon's bathroom a biohazard zone and deemed it unsuitable for human access until the year 2099. At least, that's my guess before watching
Let's do survived on pre-workout for a week 💪
How much weight did you actually gain after resuming your normal diet did the weight stay off? Planning a 3 week bulk 1 week cut for the next 3 months so this interests me. Already dropped 24lbs since August on a steady, healthy cut I don't want to add an more fat.
A bulk and or cut should be at LEAST 1 month each and even that's pushing it. Should be closer to 2 months.
I was just listening to this while drinking a Smoothie amongst other multitasking and when the "cookbook moment" came up it caught me by surprise to say the least. 😅😭😂 as a new subscriber love the humour
Dude that happiness in the end....it's just awesome
Wow! That much protein in one week really stresses the kidneys, just ask any nephrologist (kidney doctor). I have two family members and a friend that literally fried their kidneys on high protein diets and now all three are diabetics and one is on dialysis for 3-4 hours daily waiting for a kidney transplant. Good thing this experiment was only done for one week. Great video and thanks for sharing!
By high protein, how high? Like 500g a day?
@@Felale It depends on the (Creatitine) count from the blood sample from your kidneys. Sometimes you may be taking in more protein your body should have.
Everybody is different mine was high one time. And I had to cut back on protein. Then it was fine. I was eating a lot of red meats and 2 protein shakes a day and physical they said scale it back.
Other factors do come into play. Hard exercise, stress, dehydration etc comes into play with the count as well.
What are your thoughts on a meat only diet like Jordan and Mikayla Peterson?
This is a myth. ua-cam.com/video/IjQColM-q44/v-deo.html
@@nightnday6675 meat only still has fats. And you also remove a lot of possible allergens when you take out the veg and greens.
You can totally live a carnivore diet long term.
Hey!!! So uuh just curious,
I would love to do the protein diet at least two weeks a month.
I was hoping you could share which protein supplements you used,
Also I'm on testosterone & EQ.
Do you think 🤔 that it would negatively affect my gains would you know?
Soooo natty or nah?
@@maciekbojarski3624 Thank You very much I appreciate it..
I just find it very hard to eat so many meals a day I figured if I replace two of my meals for a shake after my training for post workout as apposed to my last two meals I'd be ok.
I guess I'll just leave the powder alone for when I'm off of this stuff.
I was recommended 4 egg whites for breakfast with 1 cup of oatmeal and flax seed powder mixed in and a banana
And for the other 4 meals,
6-8oz of chicken and half a cup of rice or sweet potato.
And I didn't miss your point.
I got what you were saying..
Just curious..
@@evilpanther990 Not now.
I'll be detoxing on January and on March or April I'll do another 8-10week cycle..
@@frankyvelez767 looks like you are eating around 31g. of protein for breakfast and and 50 to 60 gr. for other meals. that's around 240gr. to 280gr of protein a day. If your body weight is less then 240 lb. than you are eating too much protein, its not that its bad for you, but you are getting diminishing returns on your investment. if you weigh 180lb then 180 gr. protein is plenty for you. That means you are wasting 60gr of protein for energy instead of gains, you could be eating that 60 grams of carbs, fats or combination of the two. fueling up for much harder workouts. Over 30 gr. of protein min. per meal will trigger muscle-protein synthesis . As long as you getting 30 gr. of protein mni per meal, it does not matter the source, plant and animal combine, will work just fine.
He did he lost 10 lbs in a week that's crazy, there's 3500 calories per pound, which means across the week he was in a deficit of 35,000 calories, that's -5000 per day, which he obviously couldn't be doing. My guess his maintenance is around 3k calories which would have made him lose around 4lbs in the week, the rest is likely due to weight fluctuations, bloating, water etc.
He did lose and notice his love handles went away in one week! Crazy
@12:52 ....thats me everytime i step on the damn scale HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
His protein Farts must have been something to behold!!!😂😂😂😂
