  • Shania is a dedicated K-Pop fan who has spent a lot of time exploring Korean culture. She used to be envious of the lives of K-Pop idols but she soon began to see the dark side of the industry. Seeing and learning about the idols' various hardships from how hard they have to work to having to deal with unreasonable and disrespectful fans while putting up with the unforgiving public has fueled her belief that idols should be treated with more respect. Shania shares the struggles of being a K-Pop idol and what the rest of us can do to help change the toxic environment. TEDxTJC is a TED event organised by Temasek Junior College that gives youth a platform to have their voices heard. It is also an opportunity to share about pertinent issues that resound with the TJC community. Shania Lee is a Secondary 3 student at Temasek Junior College.
