When the GPF warning light illuminate, please perform the following driving pattern to activate the GPF driving regeneration. (Speed >80km/h (50 mph), 3rd or higher gear with engine rpm between 2500-4000 rpm) Drive over 80km/h (50mph) in 3rd gear Accelerate up to 4000 rpm, release acceleration pedal, wait 5 sec and accelerate again to 4000 rpm. Continuously repeat this process until the GPF warning lamp will switch off.
Haha, welcome to the club! I have diesel 1.5 dci with DPF. Lucky for me, my car has 5th injector for DPF burnout so no problem with diesel in the engine oil etc. But I thought I is highest time to set me free of this problem and started to look for the gasoline engine new car. How I was surprised reading about GPF issues... I think it is time to buy electric bike 😂
I have the same problem on a 2021 Hyundai Tucson, gasoline. Although the manufacturer recommends a 30-minute route, at over 80 km/h, between 1500 - 4000 rpm, I drove about 45 min. and 60-70 km, but the symbol still hasn't disappeared. It makes no sense to say that you protect the environment with a filter, when you have to consume half a tank for nothing. And yes, I also migrated from a diesel to gasoline for the same reasons. Good luck!
Oh wow, I have been considering to replace our family's 2020 Sportage to newer one, but after learning about this GPF thing... not so sure now. And for comparison, I got 2016 ford mondeo diesel, 70% of trips are short town driving, and don't have any issues with DPF...
At this minute i have the same problem like yourself 😢 anyhow i won’t be buying a Kia again bad car especially with this nonsense starting anyway how do you think that will this issue come back to your car ?
We have a tuscon 21 plate 1.6gpf fitted 17.000 miles on clock and the filter light is on so we took it on a run for 2 hours no joy getting the light off speak nearly 100 pounds on trying to get it off not happy speeding so much money on a car not to be fixed
This is how forced GPF regeneration on 2023 Kia Sportage looks like. The turbocharger is red hot. And it takes for 1-2 hours. I guess it's better to be patient and do it naturally. ua-cam.com/users/shortsBxflRP1STBU
ziema tas signāls paradās 3 nedēļu laika pēc reģenerācijas.(pa ziemu kkur 4-5 reizes) tas jau nav braukšana bet mocīšana. Un tā kopuma ātrākais man sanāca pie 30 min. 25km... un ziema kad ir liels mīnus ara pie 1st. un 70km.

I had to drive on highway in 4th gear at 3500 rpm (~115 km/h) almost 100 km to clean the GPF of our Sportage (2022, 1.6TGDI, 150CP)
Madness. This thing is to protect environment but you need to drive extra 100km.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I have this crap in my suzuki as well 🤦

50L for 25€ ? Where is that ? I want to live there too😅
He clearly said fifteen, not fifty
haha obviously 15l
Forced regeneration kill the filter, this is just a scam, it should self clear while driving. If not, there may be a engine/turbo issue.
