great video. you know i love 1/24 scale since it fits in your hand perfectly compared to the unwieldy 1/18 or the tiny 1/43, but sadly manufacturers like norev, minichamps, solido or kyosho dont give this scale the attention it deserves. bburago and maisto have improved on their exterior quality in recent years but worsened on their opening parts features by purposely locking shut the hood and trunk while before 2016 all their models had at least one opening hood or trunk. i also have a soft spot for motormax because even though their quality is worse, they make some cars other brands in 1/24 do not make.
Thank you! Completely agree, 1/24 is perfect for just the right amount of detail while still being space and cost efficient. Yeah unfortunately they do block bonnets and boots but if you open up the models, take some clippers and sometimes you can just cut off the black plastic stoppers! However unfortunately this isn't always possible when hinges aren't present.
Yeah motormax is okay too and often good for little customisation projects whether that is painting interiors, exteriors or making parts for them.

Sorry there's nowhere really. Amazon often has some good prices depending on where you are. Costco don't stock 1:24. Sometimes you see them in toy shops. Maybe look also for specialist model shops n
I always try my best to support fellow collectors, but I believe that you should change the video title into something like "best value for money 1:24 diecast models".
Calling a Bburago / Maisto a "best 1:24 model" is completely wrong, considering that there are brands like Franklin Mint, Danbury Mint, Ebbro and Jouef who make amazingly detailed models that would put any Maisto/Bburago to shame.

@@firewaffle1 Thank you as well for your understanding. Don't worry, there was no inconvenience for me and I don't consider it a clickbait. I was thinking of buying the 488 Bburago so it was helpful actually.
As I said, I appreciate and support all the fellow diecast collectors, so your video is a good one by default 😁 just suggested this slight title change.
@@alinclaudiu4754 thanks 😁. I think the 488 I had modified to look better. Changed wheels, roof and other parts to black as well as adding red in the interior and yellow calipers.
No offence, but calling any of these cars the best in 1/24 scale is a reach at best. Your title should be most affordable cars in 1/24 scale.

@firewaffle1 aw hell..I admire anyone who has the balls to do a good video and very unrewarding...I should know because I do the same. My channel is only about 6 months old snd been successfully largely to race and paddock coverage, not model car reviews. Keep it up and disregard my crap.
