  • Enjoy this amazing recipe for beef ribs made in an instant pot and an oven. When you're stuck in the house and have a need to eat some great BBQ, this should be your GoTo recipe for amazing Beef ribs.
    Dry Rub
    2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    2 tsp paprika
    1 tsp onion
    1 tsp garlic
    1 tsp mustard
    1/2 tsp cayenne
    1/4 cup of brown sugar
    Wet ingredients
1/2 Cup of Apple Cider Vinegar
    1/2 Cup of beef broth
Take the ribs out of the package and dry the ribs. Add the dry rub and place the ribs in the instant. (Don’t forget to add the Instant pot trivet.) Add the wet ingredients on the side of the pot. Avoid wetting the ribs and washing off the dry rub.
Turn the instant pot on for 25-30 minutes. (It depends on fate thickness of the meat. I usually cook them closer to 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Allow the instant pot to do a “slow release” for 15 minutes before taking the meat out. Add the ribs to a lined cookie tray and add BBQ sauce if you want. Place the ribs in the oven at this time for 15 minutes.
(FYI the ribs have a strong smell when you initially take the ribs out of the instant pot. :) Don’t let that scare you. The smell is normal.
After 15 minutes in the oven take the ribs out and let it rest for 10 minutes.
THEN - - Enjoy your amazing ribs.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!Exactly what I was looking for. Followed exactly with exception of halved the paprika pepper & cayenne, my stomach does better with mild. Turned out awesome, I also don’t care for sauce & just as you said, this definitely didn’t need it. The Ingredients/spices were things I already I had, making it a HUGE bonus, simple & did the job, no running to store to buy things I will probably never use again.
Came back to add, I love you did not waste 10 minutes of my time talking about everything under the sun, you jumped right into recipe. Some (most) take 10 minutes to start with recipe & then I find the title was misleading, not all what I was looking for. So on to the next one to waste another 10 minutes. Lots of times, I give up & just do it, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. 😂
Thanks again, I just can’t say enough good things about this.

Seems like a great recipe to try... thx for sharing. One thing though... are you aware that your trivet has handles on it? Just lay it open flat with the handles extended, then put your meat on it and hold the handles to lower it into and to remove it from the pot... it's much easier.

Finally...been looking for a recipe like this for ribs and the instant pot. Is the stove part absolutely necessary??? Just wondering because I practice cooking everything in my instant pot. Thank you for the recipe and can't wait to try it myself!!!

Broil would prolly be better, if you’re looking to make it crispier. You could also even throw it on the grill for 3-4min each side, that’s what I do with my pork ribs and they’re delicious.

It wouldn't be an Instant Pot recipe anymore if you have to put it in the oven.
