Hatch Chili CornBread
This hatch chili cornbread recipe is a keeper. Now that it's hatch chili season let's put hatch peppers in everything. Lol. This bread in particular is good with Texas Chili, Ranch style beans, or with a thick pat of butter.

Ingredients
* 1 cup flour
* 1 cup yellow cornmeal
* ¼ cup granulated sugar
* 2 teaspoons baking powder
* ½ teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 large egg beaten
* ⅓ cup milk
* 6 tablespoons melted butter
* 1 cup sour cream
* 4 ounces diced green chiles
* 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
Mix the dry and wet ingredients separately at first. When you mix them together make sure you don't overbeat the batter or Masa as I call it.
Have your oven preheated to 400 and bake t for 25-35 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

    I hate to cook, but my guy asked me to cook up some beef short ribs, so I looked up a recipe for Instapot short ribs, and MAN, am I glad this was the first thing that came up. Didn’t have tomatoes in the garden yet, and I added canned jalapeños, and celery salt instead of celery, but IT WAS SO GOOD(!) and as easy as it could be :)

    These are cooking now. Also, everyone needs an instant pot. I may or may not have 4. 🫣 Let’s just say holidays are a breeze when you can cook multiple things in different pots, without having to heat up your oven.

    Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!Exactly what I was looking for. Followed exactly with exception of halved the paprika pepper & cayenne, my stomach does better with mild. Turned out awesome, I also don’t care for sauce & just as you said, this definitely didn’t need it. The Ingredients/spices were things I already I had, making it a HUGE bonus, simple & did the job, no running to store to buy things I will probably never use again. Came back to add, I love you did not waste 10 minutes of my time talking about everything under the sun, you jumped right into recipe. Some (most) take 10 minutes to start with recipe & then I find the title was misleading, not all what I was looking for. So on to the next one to waste another 10 minutes. Lots of times, I give up & just do it, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. 😂 Thanks again, I just can’t say enough good things about this.

    That bolillo is going to spike your insulin and is going to store all that fat in your body once you use all that sugar caused by that bilillo you will get extremely hungry again 😂 just FYI 😊

    Thanks for the tip... tweaked your recipe a lil bit... added cumin and corriander powder... used whole black pepper corns too, and beef/chicken stock. Also added some Gigante beans at the end... thanks again!

      You can brown them in the pressure cooker and cook them.. One pot clean up

    I don't know brother. Durkee (French's) _'flash fry'_ their onions. These look a bit oily, likely because the pan was crowded. Don't hold it against me. _Just my 'two cents' with only visual to go on._
