If there was ever a dish that was perfect for an Instant Pot, it's short ribs. These ribs taste like they have been slow-braising for hours on end and they only take a fraction of the time. And the flavor and fall-off-the-bone texture is incredible.

Just used my Instant Pot for the first time yesterday and made spare ribs which are not my favorites but they were fantastic! However, beef short ribs are my favorites and your method of preparing these is fabulous! Can't wait to try these! You're both so personable and take the fear out of cooking with pressure in the Instant Pot!
I modified it..due to a couple of lacking ingredients and copious amounts of red wine.
Still tasted and turned out amazing!
iPad to substitute the ground Tyne for Rosemary and a few dashes of “Herbs de Provence”. I served my Ribs on a bed of rice which was cooked in the left over sauce of the sautéed vegetables/pressure cooked beef ribs.
My kid loved it, and so did I! 👍🏼
Evening Gents! Since we got the Instant Pot I have been the main pot roast/rib guy in the house. I have been solely using pork baby back. I gonna give these a try now that I know they are Loon proof! Thx Guys! Cheers! poko

Just tried this recipe last night. It was fantastic! Only thing I changed was 1/4 cup of red wine instead of 1/2. Thank you guys that’s was one of the best recipes I’ve gotten to cook in my insta pot.

Helpful FYI, the gravy fat separator will work better for you if you use the plug it came with when filling it. Then after the fat have floated to the top pull the plug. Hope that is helpful and very much like your videos

Hi guys, I made the recipe the same way with your measurements and I got a burn notice, when the steam released naturally, I opened it and there was no liquid!! I ended up adding more cooking wine and beef broth… how it it possible you didn’t get a burn notice with the same measurements you did?
Oh, Cindy!! So so sorry there were issues with the dish! We have the burn notice appear from time to time, and sometimes we're not exactly sure why. I wish we could tell you what went wrong! We doubled checked, and the measurements are correct! We hope it was at least still edible! xoxo
Y’all ever do an Asian beef rib or a bbq style? This French style sounds amazing, but I’m just too used to short ribs in Asian food.

I love you guys! My question is that I bought 2lbs of beautiful short ribs but they are boneless and around 6 inches long. Help! How do I adapt them to work with this recipe. I know they are gonna be great ablecause I work at this meat market and every thing is voice grade or higher. Do you think I should decrease the cooking time. I love short ribs and my recipe is similar to yours but the homeless is throwing me! I will be so mad if I need them up. Help plz!!
Hi Salina! Go ahead and leave the cook time at 40 minutes. They will be fall-apart tender, but you definitely will not burn them. Let us know how they turn out!! We're betting they are going to be DELICIOUS!! xoxo

What is kosher salt. Not sure what that is.

Hi Georgiann! Happy anniversay!! An Instant Pot would be a GREAT gift from hubby/Santa!! Kosher salt is available in most supermarkets. We like it because it's a slightly chunkier salt, and results in less sodium than table salt. We use the Instant Pot Ultra 6 Qt version. We have a link to it on the post on our blog for this recipe. Can you cook with the meat frozen
Hi there! Yes, you can. Pressure cook them on HIGH for 45 minutes and then let natural release for about 15 to 20 minutes. They're delicious!
