What have you been cooking these days with your Instant Pot or Pressure Cooker? 😋 ►Written Recipe: www.pressurecookrecipes.com/instant-pot-spare-ribs/ ►Last Episode - Bread#15: ua-cam.com/video/fft95gFUtrE/v-deo.html
works great. i love that it has stainless steal pot inside ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg and not the one with coating. we used to have a coated pot before, and the coating slowly peels, and i am sure went into the food that we cooked. Absolutely love stainless steel, and will not use a coated product again. This pot has many settings and many buttons, and i need to sit down with a manual to figure out which setting to use. I used the basic functions, and even though i am not technologically skilled, i turned it on and assembled it without any help.Very satisfied with this product overall.
First dish in my Instant Pot was indeed pork spareribs! I rubbed on honey, added dry rub and let sit for 30 minutes. Added 1 cup apple juice and 1/4 cup apple cidar vinegar in the bottom on the pot. Cooked on high pressure for 15 minutes. Removed and brushed on Sweet Baby Ray's brown sugar & hickory and finished on the Trager grill for about 30 minutes just to brown the glaze and add some smoky flavor. THE BEST RIBS EVER!!
This weekend I'll going to make New York cheesecake! 😋 The other day I did a potato &.carrot medley that was really good!👍 I also have a leftover Christmas ham bone with lots of meat on it in my freezer that I'm going to use to make Senate Bean Soup. I usually do it on the stove but it takes hours to make because of the dry beans. The Instant Pot should be way quicker.
The first IP recipe I tried was your Congee recipe. I had litterally just done the first pressure test and looked for IP recipes on google and came across your website. Since then I've used your recipes on so many occasions. Thank you for all the good dinners from me and my family.
These are my go-to ribs! They never fail, are super tender, and fall off the bone. Don't be tempted to add to the cook time until you've made these once with the size of rack that you're normally going to use. Overcooking, even by a minute, can cause the ribs to be dry and mealy. (Amy & Jacky, your recipes have never let me down! ♥)
Amy, The first thing I made in my Instant Pot was a soup from Scotland called Scotch Broth. It was so delicious that I only make it in the instant pot now!
Thanks to you and Jacky for being my great teachers in the journey of pressure cooking. Never a bad meal ever since I started cooking your recipes. So, thank you both again...oh yes, I bought the spare ribs ready to give it a go! ....Patricia Lam.
We tried this and it was so fast and easy and incredibly delicious -- ready in under and hour -- unbelievable! Please make more recipes it's a loooong quarantine!
I like a mix of Sweet Baby Ray's and Frank's Hot sauce :) We like our ribs cooked for 15 minutes, natural release. (not falling off bone but pulling clean) I cut them into about 3 or 4 rib sections before cooking, then stack the sections on parchment lined heavy duty foil, close tight, and let them rest for about an hour (while I get the rest of the dinner ready) before finishing under the broiler with sauce. Love your site! Thank you for all your hard work!
Glad to see someone using all the instant pot functions instead the oven...which I really had no intentions of using...Thank you very much.💕 You have convinced me in buying an instant pot 💕💕💕💕💕
Amy, my first trial of the Instant Pot was your own chickpea method. I've tried soaking and not, and personally prefer the former. The results seem better, but also, it's more eco-conscious and power-bill-friendly as it greatly reduces the cooking time. I find a 13 minutes cooking time, then 15-20 minutes NPR, suits me for most recipes.
My first Instant Pot dish was ribs also, which I’d bet is the case for 90% of Instant Pot IP owners. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. Your presentations are so well done and I must say... I could listen to your beautiful voice endlessly.
thank you for the directions to cook in the instapot. I did 2 racks in and I used different ingredients then finished on the grill but normally I don't like anything pork, yes including bacon lol but this method made them so juicy and everyone enjoyed them a lot.
Really Great Recipe. Thanks so much for Sharing.I added a little Smoked Paprika to the marinade give even more smokey flavor and add color to the ribs.We do eat with our eyes too.
First thing I made was your instant pot beef stew! Haha it was an a little intimidating to use it the first time😆 and I had to do the water test 2 times because the first failed and drained the pot of all liquid(prob cos the venting knob was not pushed down properly) But it was delicious! Would definitely make again😘
ground beef strogonoff was the first thing i tried. turned out GREAT. am so glad to hear about the air fryer lid. unfortunately i have the mini, so none for me.... yet?
Hi amy.i haven made anything yet I dont know how to use. All those buttons and what one I need to use, I just got a instant pot buo plus .instantpot.i'm not sure if I use it or not I afraid of it ,, I not sure what time or use all those buttons for to cooked stuff on...please help me...thank you
So happy to see you do another video! These ribs look great! I typically like to do them outside on the grill, low and slow, but for quick ribs on a week night, you can't beat the IP!! I have experimented with IP ribs a lot, and this is how I do mine. Coat both sides of the ribs with honey, then apply your favorite dry BBQ rub (I like Three Little Pigs) and set aside for an hour or so in the fridge (if you have the time). Into the IP, add 2 cups apple juice, 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar and 1 tbsp. Liquid Smoke. Put ribs in IP on the trivet and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes, followed by a 15 minute natural release. Sauce and put under the broiler for a few minutes on each side. Perfect! Thanks for the great video!!
Hi Amy, we enjoy eating and cooking many of your pressure cooker recipes. I have a question - can I stack the pork ribs cut into smaller section instead of wrapping around? Thanks
Navy beans, smoked ham shanks and rosemary was my first IP dish. My kids love beans lol. Sweet baby Ray's is a fave, but I love spice so lately it's Kinders Extra Hot BBQ sauce.
This is what I ended up doing with Instant Pot BBQ Spare Ribs. Another few steps I added to the Instant Pot ribs. 1. Made a corn starch slurry to 'velvet' the meat. A Chinese technique to pre-tenderize the meat. For about 45 minutes covered in the fridge. Then rinse the slurry off and pat dry. ..I also cut the ribs into single sections. And separate the rib tips. This was a rack of Spare Ribs. I saw a recipe where the chef did this with his ribs. 2. Then I salted and dry brined the ribs overnight in the fridge. 3. Oiled the ribs lightly, then fired up my Weber charcoal grill. Got some color on the ribs by doing a quick grill over high heat, did not take long. Just wanted to get some browning on the meat. Adds to flavor when doing the pressure cook. I do the same when I make Slow Cooker chuck roast. Get some browning on the meat before cooking. 4. Lightly coated the ribs with my dry rub. Add some sliced onion to the apple juice, apple cider, water liquid. Add 1/2 teaspoon of liquid smoke to the liquid. 5. Pressure cooked the ribs on High Pressure / More setting for 25 minutes. Let the Instant Pot slow release for 15 minutes. 6. Then sauced the ribs with my homemade sauce and broiled for 3 minutes to set the sauce. Turned out fall off the bone tender, juicy and very flavorful. I like the grill browning and a bit of liquid smoke added to the liquid since I am not doing a low 'n slow smoked ribs outside.
Hi amy.please I need help.i just got my instanrpot.i got up the course, to do the water test, like the book say.i set it on 5 nin.after 5 nin..it went to 0000.and the time start going back up it went to 6min.and I got scared and cancle it..is the time suppose to go back up.my book dont say aything about it..going back up..please help me...thank you
I had never heard about an air fryer lid for an Instant Pot, so this was really informative. You are such a cute and cheerful face on UA-cam. I like Ray's No Sugar Added BBQ Sauce. Thanks again.,
Just opened the box and cooking ribs with you. My favorite BBQ sauce is Open Pit - Thanks for making this video - you were an awesome Instant Pot cook & teacher.

Thank you so much yinyanchan :) Take care!!
i would love to see a recipe using the air fryer for chicken wings or cha sui please??
Thank you!
I love Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. It's the best by far.
Look at the first ingredient, then look at the first ingredient to other more expensive BBQ sauces.
@@jessegpresley what is it?
Sweet baby rays or Stubbs BBQ sauce are my go-to and are equally amazing
What if I don't have an airfry feature...would it work in the oven?
Instead of water I usually put in a beer like a toasted lager it really adds a smoky flavor like no other
Im about to try this today. Im going to season the meat and let it sit for a few hours
Great looking food makes my mouth water are first thing was deer chilli

If I’m doubling or tripling this recipe, do I also need to double/triple the cook time?
I’m going to try this, my wife is a much bigger rib fan than me. I’ll probably use Sticky Fingers barbecue sauce. I like my sauce a touch tangy.
Hi Amy, we enjoy eating and cooking many of your pressure cooker recipes. I have a question - can I stack the pork ribs cut into smaller section instead of wrapping around? Thanks
Yep
Can I use frozen ribs
Hi Irene,
Frozen ribs will take a couple of minutes extra :)
Take care & stay safe!
Fav sauce Sweet Baby Rays Hickory & Brown Sugar.
