This is brilliant. I've already made my own pair out of a pair of Blundstone dress steel caps, but they are a lot more jank. I just cut a pair of heelies in half, cut the heel off the boots, then glued and screwed the heel off the heelies. It's been fun asking people if they like my shoes. They'll look at them and say "they're ok, so what?" Then I skate away. I usually get a big laugh out of them. Next project will be making heelies out of Demonias. This video has helped a lot in my plan of attack.
I am not sure if these are what Thursday had in mind, but it neat thing to see. I would break my leg or ankle trying to wear a pair of them boots. I enjoy seeing someone who has a shop knowledge and can make things with them
IMAO This is a fantastic boot made by Thursday with only *1 SUPER BIG NEGATIVE* which stops so many people from buying this particular pair - That super thin heel cap just sucks!!! Only if Thursday could either provide the same boot with a block heel option or a little thinner heel stack but a thicker vibram heel cap & this boot will become their best seller in no time. And once again such brilliant and creative content guys 👏👍
If the thickness of the top lift bothers you, you can have the cobbler install a thicker one (by grinding down the heel stack a bit to make room) when the original one wears out. But I agree thicker from factory is preferable.
@@pcarrierorange offcourse I can, infact a lot of customers who purchase this boot get it done by their local cobblers after the purchase but for me it just doesn't make any sense to buy something new from a company and then spend more money on it to get it fixed by a another business(cobbler).
