I'm thinking swaxe and hh because I love the dance-like flow of both in world, or lance and hbg for monsters that like to stay close/zone. CB and SnS also seems fun to have something for easy to counter and quick monsters respectively.
As cliche as it sounds; I'm Planning on both Bow Gun Types, Light & Heavy Hot death; in a variety of exciting flavors, a bullet, for every occasion, with every Monster's names written on them I like both; Light Bow Gun, For Strafing the Monster, Up Close to Mid Range, while Firing, quick, agile Gunning, like 3rd Person Shooters - useful for Solo Hunts, or when up close to Monsters And Heavy Bow Gun; for Mid to Long Range ordinance, artillery, sniping, etc, great for when the Monsters are agro'd by the Team, The other 3 Players beating on the Monster, while I provide range support & overwatch "It's Poisoned!" "It's Paralyzed!" "Its Asleep!" "It's down!" "It's tripping!" "It's KO'd!" "It's...!" "IT'S LIMPING!" "IT'S CAPPED! IT'S CAPTURED!" "IT'S SLAIN! IT'S DEAD!" "WE BEAT IT! WE WON!" Or "DAYUM... He be 'splodin'!" Or "Thanks for the Heals / Buffs!" All this; I'm hearing regularly, While at Sniper like Ranges & extreme distances, while the Monsters steady explode, suffer Ailments, are Poisoned / Paralyzed / Asleep, etc, for Sleep Bombing, Pre-Tranqed before Trapping, etc All while I'm well away from the Monster; listening to the steady rythm of HBG Rounds, like a steady drum, & the Monster is far enough away, it can't even be heard, as suffers loss I miss my Special Scope This is why I main HBG; in World, It's a Sniper's dream Weapon In Rise; it's a mixed of Charged Shots & Rapid Crouching Fire, like a portable siege weapon The LBG though; has a simpler style, involving Wyvern Blast - the Flares, that you can plant on the ground or Monster, effectively bringing back Aerial Bow Gun, coupled with Barrel Bombs, for some explosive action, on the regular The thing is; I'd have to choose: LBG for quick, agile run n' gun, Or HBG's destruction at distance, But I can only pick one, on hand, Sigh... Then I heard; how Wilds lets you have 2 Weapons... 2 WEAPONS LBG & HBG!? 3rd Person run n' gun, AND I get my Sniper fix!? That's gonna make all those Sales, in the Game's Shops; really rich, of'a my Zenny, as I dump a whole piggy bank of Zenny, on Ammo In Generations Ultimate, World & Rise; I'm Ammo savvy enough, To where I hardly go through most of my Rounds, since I know how to get the most out of every Shot It's going to be interesting; to see How my Item Sets look, knitting out for 2 different Bow Guns, Light & Heavy, then swapping them out on the fly, accordingly It's going to interesting; to Shift my Tactics & Strategies, in Accordance to the Hunt Plus; this will mean twice the work, grinding, buying, forging, upgrading, testing, learning, experimenting, prepping, training, Etc - so things certainly will be eventful & never dull or boring Also; we get a Mount, a Raptor deal, that lets us fight, WHILE Mounted... that's going to be insane - especially juggling Bow Guns - I love it already Although; I didn't spend all that time in older MH games, mastering Long Sword & Great Sword, for nothing... I wonder how they'll pair up... Or Long Sword & Bow Gun... Decisions, decisions...
I’m worried what this means for armor skills The devs mentioned they’re looking into changing the way skills work to make it make sense (which also worries me the game is still far from launch) but imo worlds armor skill system was close to perfect. All it needed was negative armor skills like the old games. Negative armor skills would both balance hunters better as well as improve build diversity. But the post world armor skill system is undeniably better and more accessible than the needlessly convoluted classic system. So I hope the new system is just as good, and doesn’t (like world and rise) make hunters OP with 7-10 positive tier A armor skills at once.
I dont miss negative skills. Lorewise it doesnt make sense for smithies to leave in negative skills on armor unless they didnt know how to take them off. Ie As forging techniques improved, negative skills became a thing of the past through proper technique in 5th fleet. In terms of gameplay, it just complicates set build to avoid punishment. It actively discourages gear and deco combinations, which is why i think it was removed moving forward into the 5th fleet. Build how you want, play how you want. Something between world and rise would be the right amount of power. World was on the lower end of power (for the 5th fleet) while rise was insane, so the middle would be a decent balance. Wilds is taking place in the forbidden area, so monsters and their gear should reflect forbidden levels of power.
I love it!!😮❤

Sounds like fun pairs. Currently olanning on charge blades, but waiting on the new moves for weapons to decide on other weapon pairs.
i want to use lance and light bowgun
lance cuz im a lance main.
light bowgun cuz of the versatility and shooting while mounted.
I just realized you can fight with your weapon while mounted. Meaning you can be the cavalry with lance. Lelkek
@@greadyknight "AHA, i shall now poke you with the help of my trusty steed, doshaguma!!" - lance main
