Pink Floyd is my favorite band, I have all their studio albums on vinyls (The Endless River not included) glad that you did this 😊 My top5: 1. The Dark Side of the Moon; 2. Wish You Were Here; 3. Meddle; 4. The Wall; 5. The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (or) Animals
I have never been a huge Floyd fan but I thought that I had the essentials in Dark Side and Wish You Were Here. I might have to give Meddle a chance. The Wall was an album that I could never get into.
I love that you did this Glen because Floyd is in my top two favorite bands. I don’t agree with your ranking, but I still enjoyed your video. Wrong or not lol. (Sue me, I can actually listen to Final Cut).
Hi My favourite Floyd albums are Meddle and Atom Heart Mother. I don't know which one is the best. The Piper and A Saucerful are in my top 5 as well, as is Wish You Were Here. The 2020 album by Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets At The Roundhouse... that's a great one. Take care.
I listened to 'Meddle' the other day I hadn't heard it for years, but had fond memories of it. For me, it is 'Atom Heart Mother,' but backwards, and with much less striking songs. 'Dark Side of the Moon' is very slick, but genius. The first two albums were indeed game-changing, but they sound very dated now. Maybe that shouldn't be an issue. Mozart sounds dated too. I am firmly in the Roger Waters camp vs. David Gilmour, as I am firmly in the John Lennon camp vs. Paul McCartney. And I really like 'The Final Cut,' but I agree, it is no more of a Pink Floyd album than 'Hitchhiker.' I have never got into 'Animals' either and I have avoided 'The Division Bell' and 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason.' I did listen to 'The Division Bell' once and was "meh." I really liked David Gilmour's war song about Iraq or Afghanistan, or somewhere. You've persuaded me - it's time to give the desert (Watersless) version of Pink Floyd another go. And I've just done D in your game with Rich Strickley. Such a fun game. I threw in a couple of Kinks' songs I thought you might have gone for, but they were 60s British Kinks rather than 80s North American Kinks.
Edited to avoid revealing too much of the video... I had a feeling xxxxx would be your top pick. It occupies my top spot once in a while. I also knew you weren't big on the album based on fauna but I was still surprised it came in so low. My wake up alarm plays Time everyday and every single day I marvel at the brilliance of that song. Best Floyd ablum and maybe best album period, i.m.o. I've yet to hear Division Bell and Momentary Lapse but I just picked both of those up in a bulk CD purchase so I'm looking foward to hearing those. The live album Pulse was also in that lot but, despite the beautiful packaging, it falls short for my expectations. Of the albums I own: 8. Ummagumma 7. Wall 6. Saucerful 5. Animals 4. Piper 3. Meddle 2. Wish 1. Dark
Interesting ranking. Agree with The Final Cut and Animals. More, Meddle and Obscured By Clouds are better than fans usually rank them. Division Bell is in my top three. Good video!
Hi Glen. Thanks for the video. The Wall is my number 1, but I agree The Trial is tedious. Not heard all of their albums, but I find Animals ok, not brilliant. Waters sounds bombastic and pompous on The Final Cut. I find that one very boring. Looking forward to your next video Tim
Can't disagree with much here. I'd have the debut much lower now as it sounds dated to me now. Ummagumma would have been a great live album, studio side is a waste of time. Animals has never appealed to me. The Wall would rank almost at the bottom if it didn't have Comfortably Numb. For me it's Meddle, DSOTM, and Wish You Were Here one through three.
Hi Glen!!! i think the main issue with "The Wall" is that's a little overrated and have those "interludes" that doesn't bring anything to the album secuence, maybe also "Dark Side....." is overplayed and need a rest. "Animals" to me it's a very good album, i like the post Waters era of the band, never heard "The Final Cut" and i think i don't need to. cheers and be well

Johnny Cash!!!!
I was wondering when you were going to switch from listing least favorite to favorites.
That seems to be a fine line..lol
Yeah - Meddle!!!
I have never been a huge Floyd fan but I thought that I had the essentials in Dark Side and Wish You Were Here. I might have to give Meddle a chance. The Wall was an album that I could never get into.
Yes..check out Meddle..
Meddle is one I need to revisit. Dark Side is one for me, then Animals, then maybe the Wall.
I think most would choose Dark Side..
Keep em guessing buddy

I don’t even consider Endless River an album..
@@GlenKellawayfromthebasement Yeah!! I Agree!!

Love that Nick Mason album..I saw that first tour..it was so good..

I saw your D Sings..I love 60’s Kinks..I should have put one in my top ten..they will definitely get some lovecdown the road..

With all your hatred of Animals I'm calling PETA

I liked everything I ever heard by Pink Floyd, and that was off the radio, but never made me interested enough to buy anything. Thanks Glen.
Interesting…
Nice ranking glen, Meddle is my favorite as well 👍
Awesome..
Great ranking! I'll be getting more Floyd very soon!
Cool..thanks Morris..
Big fan of Animals and The Final Cut myself. To each there own i say.
Just turn my list upside down..

Completely agree with you Cristian..
Did you have chicken wings with Larry yet?😅
lol..I am going to get him to eat a chicken wing if it kills me..
@@GlenKellawayfromthebasement I think I am going to order chicken wings tomorrow. They are delicious.
Wow… against the grain, each to their own.
I’m a rebel..
I'm a '67-'72 Floyd fan (I can't stand "Animals" either), so we agree on quite a few things here..."Piper" is definitely a top 3 album!!!
