Looking good so far! Glad you got your CD system to finally work, it must have been pretty frustrating. Getting ready for our next album exchanges soon. You will soon have a Beach Boys poster in your background. 😃
Great to see you're set up and spinning all types of music in the new room! I would be kept awake at night, thinking about that type of technical issue. I moved about three years ago and my music room was the first thing that I had organized.
Some great music there, Glen! For some odd reason, I remember seeing that Denis LePage album in a Washington DC record store sometime in the late 1970s while I was attending college. The album cover artwork caught my eye and I just watched a re-screening of the M*A*S*H (1970) movie in a dormitory common area the night before. Thanks for the flashback. I still haven't heard the reason you and your family had to move into the nice new digs.
Glad you got it playing. Electronics can be frustrating. Sometimes the the simplest things and sometimes the not so simple. BTW, purchased the Billy Strings live CD today.
Glad things are working out. Great to crank it up every now and then, I've been on a Zappa kick lately..Looking forward to new Apostrophe box coming soon.
Hi Glen!!! So glad to see and hear you're almost done with the moving and getting the stuff were you want.... and fixed the cd player issue!!!! btw, i don't know why but something tells me one day you're going to take a look at the ceiling and realize you need to do something with it, lol. cheers and be well
I broke my CD player during my last big move too. It's not a very expensive one but I bought it in '93 and it's hooked up to an even older stereo system. I got another one from my parents, that got a new hifi system. One day, a year or two later, when I was about to throw it in the trash, I noticed a clicking noise when I moved the CD player. I shook it a bit and it was clearly audible, so I opened it up and found a little plastic piece, clear, size of a lentile, it was the lense for the laser. Could easily be fixed with a bit of glue from a glue stick on the tip of a toothpick. It's serving me well for many years since. Camera angle got really weird, at some point you were just a talking base cap.
Yeah !! There's nothing worse than re connecting or simply just switching on your system ------ and "NOTHING " It scares the crap out of you !! 😅😂 I've been there a few times , only to find something not plugged in or some switch or button not activated Have fun setting up your new den 😊
Glad you got that GD CD player going. Electronics are so needlessly complicated, which is the reason I stay with old school. That Peter Case record is so great, picked up my copy in Amsterdam of all places. Great Taste record, had mine since forever. Happy you’re able to mix CDs and albums. Good luck with the rest of the move. Drywall is so overrated! Cheers.
Greetings from Dublin Glen. Enjoy The Move My Good Man And Glad To Hear You Got The Sound Sorted Out On That Cd Player. Can't Go Wrong With Abit Of Rory. If You'd Like To Hear Something New, Check Out A Dublin Band Called (The Murder Capital).

I love "the industrial look". Great set-up Glen. You look right at home already. Have a great weekend.
