- Hello again! The mig 19 is certainly a plane of all time. It's an energy fighting BEAST stuck in a game mode & matchmaker that, most of the time, supports metas like missiles and speed. Born to dogfight, forced to get third partied. But IF you get that downtier... oh man, is it a blast!

honestly this thing is just a free kill at 10.0. suffers kinda like the hunter f6 (no flares) but the hunter has missiles and the mig19 has afterburner. anyway nice vid nimbo

(new sub) i like the mig 19 alot...the russian one with missile but after i got missiles I couldn't hit shots anymore or just got crits. I think they forced my thoughts into getting behind ppl for the missiles and not focussing on getting into position for good shots. Also i didnt know how to line up shots so this video help a bit :D

Actual mig-19S experience: Get uptiered constantly. Face all-aspect missiles, F5's with missiles, F100's that are as good as you and have missiles, spend 20% of your ammo on each kill you maybe get b/c skill issue and rudder really holds back this plane's aim (opp just has to roll around and you're boned). Black out constantly, everything can run away from you while you're doing your fancy energy maneuvers. I've gotten aces in this plane (all downtiers) and my k/d is still

@@nimbosoup i fcking love the Ariete man, love to dunk on F-5s and MiG-21s who think they can turnfight anything. But the moment an A-10 looks at you it's back to the hangar 😂

You can easily take +9G turns and keep going where as when I'm flying my pilot seems to black out if he looks a little too far up or down. Add on top of that the fact I've only seen full uptiers and its making it hard for me to enjoy this jet. Also I've got a big skill issue
The uptiers are pretty annoying- haven't played this thing since this video dropped, but I'd say maybe 8/10 matches were uptiers when I did. As far as the blacking out goes, I had a max level/experted crew, which certainly helps! And don't worry, we've all got some skill issues :D
I have this thing and it’s really good, along side the F-4F. The MiG-19S is an absolute beast in the vertical. Pls play F-4F next

it feels a lot different without expert creww, i wish someone in the internet would actually play it completely stock with basic crew to understand why people often suck at this aircraft
why did the mig 19/j6 do so poorly in vietnam?
Just a quick tip, use the zoom while trying to hit lined-up shots. It helps a lot with your accuracy.
Also, just a quick question, how bad is the matchmaker for this ting? Does it see downtiers or is it constant uptier like it is at 9.7 with the hunter?
I use zoom when I think it’ll help, sometimes, I’d prefer to have a better understanding of my surroundings over having tunnel vision. Not trying to be rude, but I don’t think I’ll be making a conscious effort to use my zoom more- personally, it doesn’t help me over what I already do. I think I do just fine using it when I think it’ll help. Thanks for the advice, though, and thanks for watching!
Matchmaker is probably 75% uptiers and facing f104’s u can’t catch, 25% same/downtiers you can stunt on everyone in!
@@nimbosoup Your choice I guess. It's just a little thing that bothered me, since a lot of the shots you missed in the video seem like they could've been hits if you focused on them a bit more, especially if you were shooting from the enemy's 6.

@@jojomaster7675 I get what you're saying, and I seriously do appreciate you guys trying to help, I just don't think it's the right way! Call it a cope, call me stubborn or egotistical, maybe you're right. Idk. I'd probably agree with you on a couple of those. But at least lemme explain myself here and maybe I can help you understand why I disagree!
My self deprecating jokes about aiming are just that- jokes. In reality, I find my aim is actually pretty good. Weird flex, I get it, and I'm not trying to be egotistical, but it is what it is- my stat card will back this up. Especially if I'm used to the armament of whatever I'm playing (being a CC/streamer, I tend to switch up what I play very often, and forget the muscle memory of leading different guns). I feel like that's why my twitch viewer's jokes when I miss an easy shot are so funny to everyone- we all know I should have hit it, and I just messed it up. "Skill Issue". It happens- it's a little bit more impactful when it happens in front of hundreds, or thousands, though, I suppose!
One thing I wanna point out is that there's (obviously, but it goes deeper than you might think) a disconnect between what you're seeing in the gameplay, and what's actually occurring in it. By this I mean it's very easy to look at a gameplay and think "oh, that shot would've been easy to hit if it were me!", or something like, "oh, if he zoomed in for a closer look, he would've hit!" when in reality, the enemy is maneuvering in a way that might be difficult for your plane to follow, which is impossible to tell unless you're behind the controls (and obviously difficult to aim at regardless of zoom- you can see the enemy making these moves perfectly fine in game, you just can't predict or follow it well enough). This is especially true in cases of being directly on enemy 6's, like you mentioned. Just as I have, I'm sure everyone's struggled with these seemingly "easy" shots before, too, because they're not actually easy- they just look like it! It takes some luck or predicting to hit an enemy just spamming their positive and negative elevator keys travelling in a straight line!
I do apologize for the long response, it's just this is not the first time I've seen someone commenting about me not using zoom enough, and I figured I should address it for the future. Not to single you out or anything; I'm just coping here, don't mind me lmao! It's honestly funny because I've had people on my livestreams telling me to stop zooming in so much. At the end of the day, I'll just do what's most comfortable for me in the moment, anyways :)
Please don't let this discourage you from trying to give me advice in the future, though! Just because I disagree with you on something now doesn't mean I will on something else in the future, too; we're all mature here, and I'm always trying to improve. Again, I appreciate the discussion, and YOU for watching/commenting :)
@@nimbosoup Yeah, i get it, everything seems easier when recorded and old habits die hard, it's just that i do play this game a bit and I have been in situations like that (though, yeah, in a different plane, I admit that), so I can somewhat imagine what it's like to land that shot. And whenever I look at those 'easy' shots, I figure that I would have no chance hitting it without zoom, but with zoom, It should be fairly simple. Me zooming a lot might also have something to do with me having less problems with sparking on guns people complain about a lot. Though it has also gotten me missiled a few times, I'll admit that.
Don't worry, I'm not easily offended, in fact I'm surprised i even got a response. So yeah, it was fun talking to you, and maybe just think about it if you're going head on or have prepared a shot from someone's 6, it could help you get a kill faster and with less ammo spent.

Thank you! Which update are we referring to? La Royale? Once all the bugs were worked out (ghost missiles, etc) I began loving it! I also feel like our economy is heading in the right direction (finally) o7

In the commentary, I mentioned that uptiers suck (no flares against missiles: a-10's with 9L's and such), and that most games will be uptiers. Just more entertaining to watch a game with a favorable matchmaker you can have an impact in. Thanks for watching 👍
