Easy answer. They were using Tylee’s debit card to pay for the honeymoon. The birth certificate was used as ID.
They also used Charles’s Amazon credit card to purchase her wedding dress, the rings and Chad’s linen suit for their beach wedding. Wow
These two are the dumbest criminals, honestly. Not much long term planning-thank goodness Grandma Kay kept up with all of it, contacting law enforcement, with Brandon hired a PI to help track them down. A great deal of coordination was needed to get them behind bars. 😢RIP Tylee, JJ, Tammy, Charles, and I believe Joe Ryan too.
@ErinAbou I think they were relatively easy to catch. I can't imagine how or if they expected it not to catch up with them. Brazen. If they were 12 year olds, maybe. But adults?
Chad had over $400k from Tammy’s life insurance. He was paid out almost immediately. Tammy died on a Saturday, and Chad went to the insurance broker on Monday morning. And he was paid within a couple of weeks. So they had access to plenty of money.

Looking at Chad and Lori’s wedding pictures makes me sick to my stomach. I pray the jury sees through all the lies.
I worry that they won't follow the whole thing, because it's really complicated with a whole lot of people involved. We've all been following it now for years, and have had a long time to figure out who's who, and who did what, and who was where and when. The jury just got thrown into this, and it's not being presented in chronological order. I hope they understand everything like we do.

@@ChaCha-lt8rx Before the kids were even found, Bailey Sarian did a video on it, and she had a board with pictures of all the people involved, and their names, and as she was telling the story she was referring to the pictures and moving them around to show relationships and where everyone was. I swear I could never have followed the story without that as my introduction.

Not Adam. He went to police after Charles was killed, but they didn't do anything about it. He had emails of Charles letting Loris family know what was going on. The rest of the family believed Lori. Lori and Melaniece are good manipulators and act like victims.

I remember watching Adam's son Zac being interviewed by Justin Lum for Fox 10 Phoenix, about 2yrs ago. He said during the time Lori and Charles were separating, Lori influenced the family to not communicate with Charles, even though children were involved and caused a lot of toxicity. I remember thinking this was Lori's 4th marriage going down the pan, and she was placing all the blame on the Charles. Rather than taking some responsibility herself, she said he had a girlfriend in Houston, was seeing other women, and was seeing prostitutes. Surely at the age of 46 (then), and with 3 ex marriages the family must've realised she had a role in the demise of her 4th marriage
Indeed. The Cox family, except for Adam, all bought into this lie that he was entirely at fault. I am surprised she didn’t try the s.a. of the children lie that she did vs. her 3rd husband, Joe Ryan, who also years later was conveniently found dead in his apartment. I believe she and Alex did in Joe, even months before she met Chad in person.

It's pretty brutal to realize that somebody you think was a decent person, turns out to not be and it really makes you ponder the fact that we are all individually capable. Physically capable, we know that, we know that we can all do terrible things physically. But the realization that we could emotionally and spiritually just abandon our motherhood, is very hard. And for her family to realize that. I must have been just devastating.
All mankind is now born with a sin nature but NO we are not all capable of these twisted, sadistic murderous actions motivated by our insatiable greed for power, money & sex!

Most people who use a shovel or similar tools always wear gloves. That's not unusual or a surprise. They were still Chad's tools found on his property.
I wonder if the kids weren't found on Chad's property, would there be enough evidence to charge him & convict him of the conspiracy to kill the kids?
The didn’t run tests on the tools for Chad for this very reason. They knew his dna would be on his own tools so didn’t need to run the tests as it would tell them nothing they didn’t already know.

Conspiracy yes, but murder? That would be much harder. Those texts he sent Tammy about the raccoon and burning limbs ties him to the murders and the kids on his property so if they were buried there, he wouldn’t have had to make up those stories and that evidence wouldn’t exist. But there’s still a ton of evidence that shows he was aware the kids were gone forever. He told everyone different stories but many of them said lori didn’t have kids or they were all grown and gone or died some other way. Innocent ppl don’t make up stories like that. So at the very least he is going down for conspiracy.

Adam out here rewriting history and succeeding SMH. Had he went to the police Tylee and JJ could have possibly been saved. Had he actually listened to Charles… possibly Charles would still be alive. Charles funded his trip to AZ and Adam went immediately to his parents house and told them everything. Then after Charles was murdered Adam didn’t even contact the police. FOH Adam.

Lori also had a Lori Ryan driver’s license & she used her different names for various plane tickets & different items. Adam has said Lori changed after she met Chad but, a forensic psychologist had checked her when she was getting her second divorce she said Lori was lying about x abuse she blamed Tylees dad for doing on the kids as her reason for divorce. Also a Drs letter stated Lori was being about Tylees illness. Chad & Lori were human T&T. Unfortunately 5-6 people died because of their greed .
I do think he wore gloves and they were his without his DNA on them, as mentioned. Did he clean them too...stripped of all his DNA?
They didn't test for Chads DNA or fingerprints on the tools, because they were chads tools. It's expected his DNA & prints would be on his tools.

He changed it to Kay, his sister. If he had changed it to Tylee and JJ, Lori would have still gotten the money.

Adam was supposed to meet with Charles that day to do an intervention for Lori. Charles had flown him and Zac to Arizona from Kansas! He never checked on Charles after that. Says it took 3 days to find out Charles was dead! Once he found out, he immediately hopped on a plane back to Kansas! Never called police! Only after his ex wife called them a month later did he speak with them!!! Why Adam? Your mother picked you up at the airport and apparently you told her what was going on and she told Lori! You stayed at Summers! WHY didn't you call or text Charles when the intervention didn't happen and you didn't hear from Charles again that day? Why didn't you go immediately to police and tell them everything you knew? It's makes me so angry that you did nothing and now want to come off as an advocate for those YOU could have attempted to protect!!!

There's some wierd dynamics of a family where 1 brother is so tight with a sister that he shoots her husband, whether in self-defence or not.
I think this trial would have been much more complicated if Alex Cox was still alive.
I think it would have been better if he was alive, because he was clearly the killer, and could have testified to Lori and Chad's involvement. And also any other people in their circle who knew about it and went along. I'm sure there are more people that were in on a lot of it.

1. Daybell is a serial killer. His actions and how he's in court proves it. I don't think that he fully believed the BS
a) If you're preparing for the End in six months, you don't rent an HI condo for eight months.
b) HI is the most isolated, ordinary things are harder to address when your 'regular' life is four hours ahead.
c) Maui to Rexburg involves three to five plane rides, a whole day.
d) Vallow believed.
2. Shoveling sans gloves makes large blisters. Using heavy tools can cause cuts to one's skins.
Just for your future reference, Hawaii is abbreviated HI. A lot of people in Hawaii are from out of state, and most of them are escaping something or other. It's kind of a joke with people who live there. My sister lived there for 25 years and raised her kids there.

There's no use testing the tools for DNA. They belong to Chad, of course his DNA will be on them. It doesn't prove anything if his DNA is there.

I don’t know exactly why the police didn’t test the handles! I don’t know if the children’s fingerprints or Tammy’s fingerprints might be on them. But I think that they should have and maybe Alex and Chad’s fingerprints were on them. The other reason if law enforcement wasn’t careful enough with them and accidental put three fingerprints on them handling them. I would hope not but that’s what prior is trying to say. He ask them if they had used the tools.
