That was just such a crazy week. Two plates on different hunts in the same week and both of them came out of water! Looking back I wish I had done a better job of filming and describing what all was gonna on. With the breastplate I got a bullet signal in a small creek. It was the same creek as earlier in the video but was a little wider than the spots shown in the video. I started trying to dig out the signal from the creek and it was so hard because every scoop of mud just filled right back in. I finally lay on my stomach on the grass bank next to the creek and started putting my hand down in the mud. I literally got it to where my arm was past the elbow in mud and then my fingers touched it. It was an electric feeling because I knew at once it wasn’t a bullet. It had to have been lead side up. Up to that point digging a breastplate had been my bucket list find I wanted worse than any and man my feet didn’t touch the ground for an hour after that!
Thank you so much! Yeah that spot was sweet!! Looking forward to going back there soon. That spot still has bullets galore. They’re just so deep we got wore out. Thanks so much for watching!
Heck of a day Chris!! Obliviously the Breast Plate is fantastic, also love the silver pocket watch, finial and tampion! You and Travis definitely worked for them.
Thank you so much buddy!! I don’t know that I have ever been as worn out at the end of a full day of digging as I was that day. I was sore until a day or so ago. Every hole we had to contend with roots!! Haha that’s a problem I surely don’t mind having if I’m getting good relics like I was. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch. My videos here lately have been stretching a bit longer than I want them to be so something for me to think about, but I suppose if you have excess video of you digging relics that’s a good problem to have too! I hope you have a great weekend!
Heck yeah!!! That’s the most comfortable tshirt too. Next time I’m Franklin I’m buying two or three. I need to order me one from Nashville! Thanks so much for watching my friend
Hey David- I’ve detected for Civil War relics all across the southeast and into Maryland and Pennsylvania- but the majority of videos you’re going to see on the channel we’re in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We are hooked on Civil War relic hunting so for us driving several hours to get there has just become part of it. I wish there were good sites close to where I live though!
@@TobaccoRoadRelics I have an older Safari and have been looking at them as most of the targets I am looking for in my area of Northern VA have been 10" or deeper, especially in the swampy areas. Looked like you were getting pretty deep in this video with the Nox800.
I appreciate that!! Thank you so much for watching Todd. There were just so many bullets that we didn’t have much opportunity to dig a lot else but hopefully next time there we get a button or two. I’m grateful you checked it out
Awesome!!!! I remember my first Eagle plate...you just cant describe the feeling of pulling one out of the ground❤ Congrats!

Wow. All I can say is Wow. Talk about the right place at the right time. Wow. Congratulations buddy
Thank you brother! Definitely was a hot spot. There are more bullets there down deep I’m convinced. We will be back for sure! Thanks for watching!
Yeah I would think that area is full of civil war relics. I surely wouldn’t walk away either. You’re welcome buddy.

Nice shout out to the Battle of Franklin Trust! We need to get you a Battle of Nashville Trust shirt next!

Congratulations on the plate!
Thank you my friend. I really appreciate it
Congratulations! Could you tell me what pouch you’re using? Always a great time sharing with friends hunting!
Thank you Gene! It isn’t a metal detecting pouch at all. I purchased it at the Home Depot where the carpenters pouches are. I love it
Where do you men look for civil war stuff? In NC. I might like to lease land if I have to to detect

What detectors are you using, look like nox 800 or am I wrong?
Yes both of us in the video are using the Nox 800’s

Congrats on your first breast plate Chris ! Both of you gents put forth quite the effort retrieving the CW relics.
