Thank you Doug! I dig my share of bullets I guess and honestly that day was a little perplexing to me why I wasn’t digging any- but those glasses more than made up for any lack of bullets. They’re one of my favorite finds ever. I sure do appreciate you watching and commenting my friend!
Thanks buddy. Man I’ll tell the truth I’m kinda glad the bullet signals were slow that day because if they hadn’t been I might not have dug that signal. It came in really low kinda like iron which surprised me then and surprises me now. I appreciate you watching man!
Thank you Joe. I sure wish I could’ve shown a bunch more buddy. That’s how relic hunting goes sometimes I guess. I do appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment though!
If that ain't a bullet I'll eat my hat, HAHAHAH love it! What an amazing opportunity to dig in an area like Harpers Ferry! Great intro and music, you put a lot of work into your videos and it really shows! Some awesome history lessons in this one too! I can't wait to visit Antietam and Gettysburg again! Those old glasses are amazing, what an awesome personal item to find! Holy cow and a rifle hammer!!!! Sooooo cool! And a surface Harpers Ferry 3 ringer, congrats Chris!!! Awesome that your friend would invite you to such an amazing location! Excellent video, keep it up!
Thanks so much buddy. I grew up very close to Harper’s Ferry across the river in Maryland and that little area where Va, WV, and Md come together is my favorite place on this world. The history there is amazing. I go back up every year for the anniversary of the Battle of Antietam and when I go this year I’m going to make a series of videos in the town itself. Just such a cool place. Thanks so much for checking out the video and being so kind!
Thank you so much Greg! Harpers Ferry is just one of those magical places in this world that when I’m there I just feel more alive. I appreciate you so much taking the time to watch the video and comment. Means a lot!
@@chrisboardwine6859 a lot of the more popular metal-detecting videos just don't do it for me. Some just seem fake, and some are more about gold & silver than actual history. I like treasure but I love history. Not much Civil War action happened in Kansas, so getting to watch real historians finding relics on such an important battlefield was just special. Thanks for sharing 👍
That was a good hunt Chris. This is the first notification I've received from your channel in a while. UA-cam is suggesting weird videos and I can't make them stop. It's getting really frustrating!!
Thank you for watching my friend. I’ve been very slow about making videos over the past year or so but hope to pick it up a bit with cooler weather arriving.
Good eyes! Walker, Jackson and McClaws were the three Confederate Generals tasked with taking Harpers Ferry so I included them at the start of the video
It’s a super awesome place! I grew up very near there and look for every opportunity I can to get up there. There is just something special about Harper’s Ferry to me
@daviecountydiggers2371 hey guys! I’d love to join you guys on a hunt sometime. I’m out in Advance and have been looking for some people to get out with.
Good Job. Great Finds. Being on that Hallowed Ground is a blessing.
There is NO place quite like Harpers Ferry. Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you Gary! Growing up near there it truly is my favorite place in the world!
That pair of glasses is one of the coolest finds I’ve ever seen. Way to go.

Nice seeing you on there Jay. Hopefully I can get up there and maybe we can dig together.
Thank you so much Rick! Jay is such an awesome guy! Hope you can get the detector out up there!
Great finds especially the specticals!!!

Great relics Chris! Even though you didn’t find a whole lot of bullets. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Jerry! We’ve had a few come out lately and have a few more in the works!
I noticed General John G Walker in the intro. We’ve hunted lots of his camps.
Good eyes! Walker, Jackson and McClaws were the three Confederate Generals tasked with taking Harpers Ferry so I included them at the start of the video
Mrs. Bernstein our music teacher brought in a PawPaw for us to try in elementary school!
Well dang! I don’t remember that. Haha. What you didn’t see in the video is I ate about four of them and they made my belly hurt! Haha
Hard looking men in those pictures
Yes they were!
You ain’t kidding! Those guys were tough!
I found a complete hammer and lock plate. Loudoun heights

He has a wrong shovel for the job though
Thanks Carl. Do you have a recommendation for a new shovel I should be using?
Too much angle on that shovel
Thanks Carl. Do you have a recommendation for a new shovel for me? I kinda line the shovel I’m using. 😄

Oh how very cool Squatch Metal Detecting! We’d love to see what you’ve been digging! Share some pics up on the DCD FB page if you like!
