Aerith is a real Danger. She is above him and stronger then him. Not in a 1v1 fight but at everything else. Pretty sure this right here are Sephiroth and Aerith after Advent Children. She ruins his Plans again again and again... Metor, Geostigma and now again. But this is why he needs Cloud even more that Time. He can't beat Aerith. But using Cloud and probaly Zack too could break her.
It's such a pivotal moment. He kept his cool in Advent Children and he kept his cool at the end of Remake. This is the first time we ever see his brow furrowed. Knowing that Aerith threw a monkey wrench in his plans.
No denying that but I’m really worried that they’re overusing it for the remake series. They really have to do something legendary for the final fight. It will just feel the wind has been taken out of the sails.
@@michaelrobosa146 You can ABSOLUTELY overuse a theme even if it’s the BBEG of the series. The point of a final boss theme is that it should be amazing to witness during the fight and fit the themes. But it gets stale if it’s copy pasted 3 times even if the song is legendary.
This realm is the same white one that Cloud has been through before. It's said to represent the world of white (the world of the lifestream). The in between of life and death. Of course Aerith would be able to exist in physical form here. She seems to also have control over several of the whispers, much like Sephiroth. And the Whispers have the ability to actualize things that shouldn't be possible at this point in time, like Bizarro Sephiroth. And Sephiroth acknowledges Aerith here so she can't simply be an illusion.
Just if it wasn't clear, when Sephiroth says "I underestimated you", he's clearly referring to Aerith. The FFVII remakes are truly a struggle between Sephiroth and Aerith.
@@mariogirl8100 Lol yeah i wonder if they'll put him in the final game. Redemption arc maybe? No more Loveless spam & he just helps the party defeat Sephiroth?

Me and my bro holding hands at the void of the universe after fighting our nemesis ❤ Besties. (This is a dig at the folks who keep insisting Aerith and Cloud’s bond is purely and completely platonic.)
Depends on the context, why the context of Aerith and Cloud holding hands is romantic, since they intertwine their fingers. And in the interactions of these two there is clearly something more, Zack knows that Aerith is in love with Cloud and yes we are talking about Cloud, he clearly is because of the way he acts. With Aerith he doesn't act like he normally does with his friends.
Cloud and Aerith are not in love. I suggest you play the original and actually pay attention to Hojo then go to the Shinra mansion and read all the documents there. Cloud isn't alone in his mind, there are 3 more in there, Sephiroth, Zack and Jenova. Aerith senses Zack in Cloud. Her literal abilities include seeing souls. Tifa and Cloud are in love, they have been since they were children. Cloud isn't a clone either, he is a Shinra grunt, the accidental soldier. When he finally gets control of his mind, he gets rid of Sephiroth's ability to control him. Aerith literally told Nanaki the truth about Cloud. The reason Cloud doesn't pursue Tifa is because Tifa is all about family, Soldiers are sterile, he couldn't put Tifa through it, he wants her to be happy. It's Cloud and Tifas love for each other that saves Cloud from Sephiroth taking over his body. Tifa spends days beside Clouds bed, not sleeping or eating. They literally kiss in the original when Cloud wakes up! People need to stop thinking Aerith and Cloud have a thing. Her heart belongs to Zack, Cloud's heart belongs to Tifa.
That One Winged Angel blasting in for the last round with Sephiroth was AMAZING. The variations of One Winged Angel and Jenova were awesome, but there is only one song that can truly send off the final boss for a mainline FF7 game.
Ultimania confirmed when Sephiroth says "I must admit I underestimated you" hes referring to Aerith. She pulled a switcharoo on him that will be revealed in part 3! She'll be back my dudes! ❤
Having Aerith join this battle was immensely satisfying. The end there though where she fades away, leaving just Cloud standing by himself, hit me like a ton of bricks.
Thinking from a game design standpoint, Part 1 concludes with a 3-on-1 battle against a Sephiroth who seems like he's mostly just lazily sparring with you, and in the end he effortlessly disarms Cloud once he's had his fun. Part 2 concludes with two separate 2-on-1 battles against a Sephiroth who is suped up from the Whispers and, while he may not necessarily be giving it his "all", he's definitely fighting a lot harder than he was at the end of Part 1, and this time he's injured badly enough that he actually falls to one knee and decides to retreat. Following this trend, while I imagine Part 3 will almost definitely conclude with some sort of Super Saiyan Safer-Sephiroth fighting against the full party fought in turns, sorta like Jenova was in this game, the final boss fight will be a true, honest-to-god all-out duel between Sephiroth and Cloud. No second chances, no retreating, no Aerith or Zack saving the day. Cloud will be forced to fight the battle he would originally fight several years later during the events of Advent Children, against an *even more powerful* Sephiroth. Or, hell, they're talking about multiversal shit, could you imagine a final boss fight that's just Cloud against TWO Sephiroths?

Sephiroth's question to Cloud and then laughing at his response at 1:28 is such a cool moment, because Cloud acts like Sephiroth can't fool Cloud anymore and Cloud implies he can no longer be deceived, but it is clear as day that he is more lost than ever by the end of rebirth (if the theories of him deluding himself into thinking he saved Aerith are true, which is what i hope and really believe to be the case)
I feel like cloud made another timeline qhere he saved aerith when he blocked sephiroth's attack. It makes sense when you look at the effects used after cloud blocked it. Cloud and everybody give up and then Aerith saves them with her Cetra Power and Sephiroth losing his Will, get's scared and Cloud destroyes him forever.
Something about her death feels off. She clearly shows up to help fight sephi. He can see her. And she thanks cloud for saving her. I think he saved her in a seperate timeline and she showrd up tp help but in his own she is gone maybe?
Sephi is within the Lifestream these entire two games everytime you see him besides the endings are just apparition thanks to black robes and the Genova cells they all share. That’s how Sephi can affect fate only because the real him is within the life stream and now that airth is also there (the last cetra) she can also effect fate seen now by the white whispers. That’s what we see in this scene this was the actual airth and sephi fighting within the life stream. That’s why the party comments on cloud completely vanishing because he did.
Remember Stranger Things' S1 finale when Will Byers could kind of cross dimensions between the normal world and the Upside Down? That's Cloud right now. He can see Aerith in the dimension others can't.

The rest of the game has been super easy, I’m on level 52 and no matter what I do I can’t beat him. This is almost enough to taint the entire experience. I’m really not sure it’s even worth it.
It really was a good game aside from the mini quests and all, but story wise had me invested until this fight. This whole string of boss fights with no save point ruined it for me.
This fight started as something amazing yet five retries later has become a nightmare even on normal difficulty. Feels like even tho I had him on 0 health for his second Octaslash im just supposed to lose.
Some have their reasons to dislike this scene; for me, it was the most excited I've felt playing a video game. I already lost Aerith years ago in the original, it wouldn't feel the same, this was unexpected and uplifting.
Anyone who’s having trouble with Sephiroth’s last move just build up your limit gauges and or synergy abilities during the fight. Switch characters often. @@sirsonic1832 his last octaslash move is unavoidable and is made to kill the player hence the end screen of him smirking at you. You have to stagger him or kill him before he can do that attack. So keep attacking him during the end is nigh using synergy abilities and limits or 2 atb attacks.

This would have been perfect as the final battle in a 1 to 1 remake. In hindsight, I wish this was the final battle of the old PS1 game instead of what we got back then. Would have been amazing to see Aerith come across dimensions to help Cloud as his support mage in the final battle with Sephiroth then they say their goodbyes as she gives him the quantum leap back to the world of the living.
They're called Whispers. They're time space wraiths from the Lifestream who are here to ensure that history is preserved. Essentially, they're trying to keep things faithful to the original canon. Unfortunately at some point after Advent Children, Sephiroth hijacked them, giving him the ability to travel through time and alter history
Use firaga and you're good to go, more than lnce of course It took me 2 firaga for normal mode, and anytime he use the one winged cannon on masamune or octaslash firaga need one hit to each part to stagger
I literally hate this boss I can’t get past the end is nigh, it’s so jank at that part I LITERALLY STAGGERED HIM AND HE GOT BACK UP AND KILLED ME LIKE WTF???
I had that problem, like, 20 times. You just have to pull off a barver as soon as you stagger him thst final timeand that will end him. At least, that's how it went for me
I finally got him. I think the issue I was having was whenever he’d start the ability, it was right after I staggered him so I had to build the bar all the way up. Luckily his stagger bar was already partially there, so I hit him with Cross Slash from cloud, soul drain from Aerith, then mashed away at him till he staggered and I was just able to beat him.
Ok so question? Is aerith actually here? Is this just cloud going insane? Was sephiroth referring to aerith’s return? Her acceptance of her destiny? Or specifically cloud when he says “I underestimated you.?” Is this jsut cloud coping with what has happened so he envisions him beating sephiroth?
She is there, thats aerith from the timeline where we did the QTE and saved her i think. Edit: i don't think she a ghost because she comes from a portal followed by the white whisper that only appears in the timeline where we did the QTE.
@@milkofcows Its more likely the latter but he's still going insane both despite and due to it. Its supposed to be something sweet, but something is bitter about it. Aerith is not going to push him too hard, but because of that, it makes it easy to look like its secretly malicious.

Pretty sure this right here are Sephiroth and Aerith after Advent Children. She ruins his Plans again again and again... Metor, Geostigma and now again. But this is why he needs Cloud even more that Time. He can't beat Aerith. But using Cloud and probaly Zack too could break her.

Can’t wait for someone to rip the soundtrack. One-Winged Angel and its official remakes are among the most epic villain theme songs in history.
No denying that but I’m really worried that they’re overusing it for the remake series. They really have to do something legendary for the final fight. It will just feel the wind has been taken out of the sails.
@@sanddry738they are not overusing it lmao stop being so dramatic. Sephiroth is LITERALLY the main villain of FF7
@@sanddry738 nah, shut up hater
@@michaelrobosa146 Lol wanting things to be better so it can be great is not hating. But you seem too shallow to get that far.
The cloud memory restoration scene in part 3 is gonna be so good.
Agreed Red 13 also recognises Aerith after this. Think the other just can't see her like they can't always see the whispers.
@@umhi9778the point is they can see the whispers. Whoever touches one who saw a whisper is able to see them too from that moment.

Me who never played FF7
Gotta say doing this fight after 50 minutes of emotional heartbreak was one of the most powerful moments when the “true” One Winged Angel started
You know how some speed runners cheat by splicing their runs when they submit their videos, I'm starting to think Sephiroth is splicing with the different timelines to get the results he wants.
That's actually ingenious.
Me and my bro holding hands at the void of the universe after fighting our nemesis ❤ Besties.
(This is a dig at the folks who keep insisting Aerith and Cloud’s bond is purely and completely platonic.)
Even the way they hold hands means a lot. Interlocked fingers is a very big romantic gesture in japan to my knowledge

Having Aerith join this battle was immensely satisfying. The end there though where she fades away, leaving just Cloud standing by himself, hit me like a ton of bricks.
She's going to finish him off for good. She'll come back for Cloud soon!

Peak
Aerith and Cloud together against Sephiroth is exactly the final fight we need in the third game.
Nah. Make it Aerith, Cloud, and Zack. The three main characters of Final Fantasy 7 🔥
You guys are thinking too small. The final fight should allow you to control all 10 characters simultaneously.
@@michaelrobosa146Damn that is the same thing that I thought about. That really would be a great boss fight with them three.
@@michaelrobosa146 the final fight would be Cloud 1v1 Sephiroth. as much as people like zack, he is not the main character.

Plus, it might have been what sephiroth wanted. I mean, im pretty sure his whispers were the ones that made an opening for cloud to come in. He just didnt expect aerith to show up from the other timeline and help cloud. Thats why he claims he underestimated her
@@xmant8842 way i see that line is that i think this Sephiroth is Advent Children Sephiroth, who is travelling through time and fucking everything up via the lifestream.
Chances are he did make a timeline where shes alive. After all, it does do the "new timeline made" rainbow effect as cloud block's sephiroth's sword

Keep the ascencion limit and make three atb bar with synergy until sphiroth end of nigh and spam infinity end ability after using cloud limit
