      Yep! The original parts on this truck were made in Canada, Mexico and USA. Most of them have lasted 20 years before they went defective or we change them to avoid problems but the aftermarket parts are not being made in those 3 countries by GM factories anymore. so, here's one of the examples with these wiper arms. Unfortunately GM discontinued some of these parts so we are at the mercy of the aftermarket products.

    Without clear coat, they're just going to fade and you'll need to repaint them, right?
    I mean, even with clear coat, that'll happen, but it'll take a whole lot longer.

    • @JohnCRV
      @JohnCRV  Місяць тому +1

      Doesn't take long to repaint them. The clear coat makes it more durable. I don't mind fade its the rusting I don't like. BTW the paint I used is in the description. its used on engines BBQs..... Its more of a Semigloss. like the factory paint on the wiper brackets...

    Surprising the your replacement wiper arms rusted so quickly. Interesting to see how you removed them and repainted instead of replacing with new ones. I enjoyed in full to the end. Thank you, my friend.

      Use some tape on the windscreen along the alignment of the wipers while they are still on, and realign the wipers to this tape when you put them back on after painting.
