- For special occasions, I like to travel out of state for shows. Why don't I talk about the fun of doing that?

SPREAD THE METAL LIKE A PLAGUE!
Hun wake up, killbot released a new video...
It also can give you time to listen to the band more. I try to get ready for shows but then I only have the day I'm seeing them to get ready cuz of other stuff. But this gives me a good idea of what it's like for traveling for shows
great work as always dude! 🤘
The furthest I went was a 12 hour drive from where I'm from, Redding Ca to San Diego Ca to see The Jasons at some hole in the wall bar. It was a lot of fun. And when meeting the band, they were surprised anyone would drive that far to see them.
I'm blessed that my town is a magnet for big metal shows, got to see Slayer on their farewell tour, Megadeth, Anthrax, Havok and a bunch more. I buy the ticket straight from the venue, and it's just a 10 minute drive from my place and then after the show I can go home.
I love how there is the "DO NOT ENTER" sign in your selfie with Nothing Studios. Nice touch!
Love your work!
That place is a gym now! Next door is a coffee shop, that was a good hot chocolate
Keep up the good work!! Love the videos.
I hitchhiked from Wales to England for a secret gig Sepultura did as Third World Possee in 1992. ❤
The good lineup
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack yep. Drank vodka with them (not mountain dew) but I did drink MD on my livestream last night.
Back in 2007 me and some friends flew to Leipzig Germany for a goth/industrial music festival. We split the cost of the hotel, which saved us all money. Totally worth it, since I got to see Front242 for the first time.
im going to Copenhell to tomorrow
its gonna be great 🤘🏻😎
Hey there killbot awesome you are getting to venus and making good memories 👍thanks for the information to remember and looking into.
The longest that my friends and I had travelled to see a concert was about an 8 hour drive to Columbus to see Ghost and Volbeat
Hell yes. Killbot uploaded.
I'll travel to a festival but I don't see myself going to see just one band.
I took my girlfriend to see Suicide in Paris (France) one year for her birthday, we're in the UK so not that far to travel. We had a great time exploring the city and managed to check out Jim Morrisons final resting place. The gig was the cherry on top for a super packed weekend away. Alan Vega would pass away not too long after the gig so really was the last chance to see them really. Memories to last a lifetime. Dream baby dream.
Just got back from a music festival that had four days of bands. Saturday was the best as I got to see Municipal Waste, Carcass, GWAR and Metallica in one day.
Traveling for shows is quite challenging for me because I live in Mexico. But I've always set my mind to it and I've collected wonderful memories. Here's my track record:
-Tajín: Primus
-Japan: David Bowie
-Oakland: Primus
-Los Angeles: Primus
-Denver: Primus
-Guadalajara: Primus
-Washington DC: Claypool Lennon Delirium
-San Francisco: Claypool Lennon Delirium
-Westbury: Les Claypool's Frog Brigade
-New York: Tori Amos
Ive traveled to different cities before to watch bands play and its always a blast!
But I have come to realize that I might need to start looking into visiting my neighbor countries since many bands often skip Denmark on their europe tours.
Those are some great tips, thank you so much.
I plan on seeing Mayhem in Oslo(i live in germany) later this year so this is actually quite helpful.
That oughta be a special show
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack Well it is Mayhems hometown :D
And i wanted to see Norway and Mayhem anyway. So i thought, why not both?
I've been to Stockholm 4 times to see shows, which is quite a long bus ride, but it's always been worth it in the end. I mostly only really make big trips for bands I know that even if their playing is subpar that night it's one of the bands that are on my bucket list of seeing live, some are on there twice *cough* Dismember *cough* but that's mainly because of how good the first time I saw them was to where I knew I had to do that all over again at least once.
I'm currently waiting for July 11th as that's when I'll be seeing Incantation live in Stockholm which will be my 5th time going to the same darn city for a show but hey that's where all the bands tend to come so it's whatever for me, I've seen one of the opener bands before "Crawl" with their very loud, no noise gate, HM-2 guitar tone that when they stop playing it's just feedback upon feedback, but when they do it's blissful noise that I love hearing.
All in all I currently see myself going to shows that hold a lot of value for me, but once I've seen the main bands I want to see live, I don't know how my experience will change. Will it become worse? Improve? The same? Who knows, all I know is that as long as I get to hear some Death Metal, that's enough for me.
I’m going to Columbus next week to go to the punk in drublic festival. It’s gonna be my first time traveling somewhere to see a show, and I’m pretty excited for it!
Awesome video, I could listen to you talk for hours!
My first show was Bikini Kill in Redmond, Washington and I live up near Vancouver. It’s still the only show I’ve travelled for, and it was a really fun experience that I’d love to do something similar to again. I’d never been to that city before, and it had been a long time since I’d been to the USA after covid, so it was cool to explore a new place before and after the show. Travelling for more shows is definitely on my bucket list for the future
I like Bikini Kill
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack Same 💪
Currently kicking myself for missing that Skinny Puppy show.
As you should be
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack I hang my head in shame.
such a strange coincidence you uploaded this video shortly after I had just finished booking tickets to go to berlin to see some punk bands.
Awesome video as always killbot keep up the goodwork! \w/
Cool hair!
You channel is like if Andy Rooney had a heavy metal grandson.
I’ve never traveled flown out to just see a band but I’ve been to local shows in the area as activities to do when I’m there.
scooby doo
Its a good day when Killbot uploads
I made a little travel to see a show for the first time this year. I'm from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and most of the metal shows in my country are in the other state (São Paulo), so it's hard to go most of them because is way more expensive, but Opeth (one of my favorite band) came and luck I had the money to go, so I went and was amazing
Hey man! Greetins from Slovakia. Great video as always. I listen to metal since i was like 6 or 7 years old. And i want to say to you keep doing what you are doing 🤘
Thank you much!
im turning 13 in a few days. thanks for the early birthday present.
You bet!
great vid killbot 🤘 also so a few weeks ago on may 23rd i seen sepultura/kreator/death angel in san antonio texas at the aztec theatre and it was such a great show the days before the show i listened to my kreator and sepultura cds and death angel act 3 on cd it was such a great show mille petrozza(kreator) and mark osegueda(death angel) can still sing really great that was the hardest i had ever headbanged at a concert my neck was soar until the next week but it was worth it lol also i bought three t shirts at the concert one sepultura brazil jersey one death angel ultra violence shirt and one krearor/sepultura klash of the titans 2023 tour shirt it was a great concert 🤘
i'm going to sisters doll in melb and the final ever KISS austraila show
Are you a Rush fan? They're my favorite band & You look so much like 70s Geddy Lee! That's a compliment 😁
I own every album
KILLBOT. In the video you mentioned the venue blossom. As a local between Cleveland and Pittsburgh I was curious if you have been to starlake pavilion in Pittsburgh and if so do you have a preference. I’ve always preferred starlake because of access but what’s your opinion.
I have not
I live in North Carolina, and im going to St. Louis to see Metallica in November with my dad and friends. Very excited. Im also getting to see between the buried and me in winston salem in july. (My first Metal show :0 )
Btbam oughta be fun!
Im seeing kiss on their last tout
Some of my friends flew to see Megadeth one time they came to India, they slept on the street cause they couldn't afford hotels. Megadeth played only one song btw 😂
Wow
You should collab with Blackmetal Werewolf.
Hey, i have a question. I want to start making videos about metal, can you give me some advice to the start?
Have a few ready. Start one, finish it, then scrap it and start it over
I dropped the ball on Agalloch. Well next time.
Tickets still available!
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack Going to Madison for a metalfest the next week but if the budget allows for it I'd be down.
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack update. hopefully going to Denver to see them. Been wanting to go there for 10 years so it'll be a short sweet trip.
Milwaukee metal fest was u there didn't see u
First comment bro. Keep up the great content! Have a good day man.
I wanna travel the states to see toxic holocaust & havok at New York City this summer. I wanna ask something.. can I shop at the states with Canadian money? or do I need US dollers there? Alittle concerned about the money part
Usually banks and credit unions will do money exchanges
My buddy got me a floor ticket to see Metallica In Minneapolis next year as a birthday gift. I’ll be on one of those early morning flights which one benefit to those cheap flights is you can avoid city traffic before rush hour getting to the airport. I watched your video on the “Pantera” “reunion” and was like yeah…”Zakk is cool and all but I ain’t going out of my way to see that.” Guess who’s opening that night?! Hahaha.
You do this for a living, business expense!
Wouldn’t that be great?
Traveling with others sucks u don't really save no money
who needs a tutorial for this just buy a ticket its not very hard
Because tips may help save you money, Mr Perfect.
FIRST
aw crap! Ya beat me to it. Probably by a couple seconds.
