Just bought my first album, I'm 14 years old and I'm proud to join the Metal head community! (Again thank you Tony for getting me into black metal and helping me understand more about instruments, pressing, remastering and what i should look out for when buying my 2nd and future albums.)
Follow up do you have any recommendations on where to buy CD Albums in countries outside of the United States personally i live in New Zealand and i find it a little bit difficult to find websites that sell CD Albums of Black metal, Doom, Gothic, Thrash.
One thing I like about these kind of videos is when you show off a bunch of your albums. I find my self pausing the video to look up a band that caught my attention
I know I'm late to the party but great stuff man, you hit it right on the nail here! I've experienced stuff like this many times but my best story is when I was hunting down the Running Wild discography. It was at a time when the newer digipack remasters wasn't available and you had to hunt down either originals or the extremely rare older remasters. I found Black Hand Inn (which was one I obsessed with) for a pretty high price but after I bought it I got an email saying that he already sold his copy.. The very next day I went to work and told my co-worker about it and he told me that he thought he saw some Running Wild at a local CD store. The store he was talking about was a bit weird so I didn't like to go there, but I decided to go there after work anyway and yep.. there I found the original Black Hand Inn in mint condition for about 7 dollars. It was a new owner for the store at the time and he also pulled out some of his stock from the back and found more Running Wild for me. So that night I came home with the original Black Hand Inn and the remaster of Masquerade, and I remember texting my mom that now I could die a happy man :)
Coincidentally, I got 3 cds with cracks on the cases in the mail the same day this video came out! Thankfully I have someone to relate to. Great video!

I had a fucking PERFECT copy of Deicide's Serpents of the Light on tape, put it in the first time and it plays for 3 seconds and the tape snaps and is completely fucked...didnt even get to hear slave to the cross..
Never have any of these problems with my cds being shipped. They are always in great condition, and everything that is supposed to be included is and nothing that isn’t is.
Great video but I've got to agree on the statement about pops, skips and clicks on brand new picture discs. It has happened to me a couple of times, but never on an ordinary black or coloured vinyl. Don't know why though. I guess some of the paint (or whatever the proper name is in this case) gets in the grooves when they press picture discs.
this was a few years back and i do not remember off hand what album it was but what i do remember is that it was a album that i had bought off of ebay it was a album with 3 cds in it and when i opened it i know something was not right for it was in a single case plus the cd did not even match the tracks on the back it was one of the 3 cds but like i said it was in a single case it was supposed to me in one of them large double cases but the only good thing out of this is that the seller did apologize and give me back a full refund
Ha! OMG! Wow!!! This is pretty right on. I just recently bought about 20+ cd's over the past 3+ months, easily. Mostly death metal. I've bought mostly from eBay, but also from Amazon and even Walmart. Going through all the sellers, ratings and versions made me sweat and just about have a nervous breakdown. All said and done though I've had a good experience buying online. I got everything I wanted and almost no issues except for a minor few. Great video though.🤘👍
I was able to track down the older cds for most of Judas Priest’s albums, except for point of entry so I got the remaster. The difference in quality is so noticeable in playlists when most of the songs have dynamic range, and then a point of entry song comes up
Man, I sure love these types of video's! I know that most of the people who comment say this but, I can relate to this. It sure does feel satisfying when I'm opening the package with the CD inside. That is until I find out that the jewel case is either cracked or damaged, it really bugs me. Keep up the good work, Tony.
i had a cd that looked like the disc was damaged on the top i was like wtf as it was the first time that happened but it is part of the cds design after a google
One time, I opened a CD, and all the little tab things that keep the CD in place ALL fell out, the next week I got another CD from the same exact artist and once again, the whole case broke apart and the tabs all fell out, disappointing lol
Fun fact, even streaming is becoming a hassle if you're an avid album listener, especially for classic bands, for example, lets say you want to hear Rainbow's Long Live Rock and Roll or Motorhead's Overkill, and you go to whatever streaming service you prefer, boom, the only available version is the deluxe edition with 39 tracks, and you only wanted to listen to the regular album.
Actually the seller talking about the picture disc I agree with the reason for it is the sleeve of paper that is smashed in between vinyl, it can and does effect the sound and quality of the record itself it's why I never purchase picture discs. At least for myself personally. I agree with taking the record out very important indeed!
I would just get cannibal corpse vinyls at a record store. If they don’t have something they’re usually willing to order it for you. That’s what I always did when I wanted something specific. Have the record store order it. They call you when it arrives a month later and you go buy it. Always in good condition that way.
I've definitely had that issue searching for Nausea (the nyhc one, not the L.A. growly one). I like how they were on the screen when you mentioned it. Just found your channel the other day. I like your videos alot. Very cool.
Dude, i LOVE Nausea!! Story goes I had the original LP, which is what I listened to for years. I heard a CD rip on youtube and thought “did they remaster the hell out of this?” Sounded full and totally different than the thin, weak LP. Well, I sold the record and bought “Extinction: the second coming” because the stupid 2004 comps were missing songs. Talk about a mess of releases..
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack Right. I'm not super into hunting down rare copies or anything, but I found it very interesting that both the punk terrorist anthologies 1 and 2 only have a barcode. If a store that has Web to get the latest cds online, that will be the easiest solution for metalheads to get the good quality cds. But it depends of their service. i share your pain man i use apple music for my listening needs now, but every now and there i'm like oh awesome a barthory cd or hey a album that i've been looking for that is't a arm and a leg and a couple toes on top of that. i used inport cd for a few years till they filled the box with cds no packing or anything and i'd say for every 10 i'd buy 3 will have the holders broken and it's infuriating to say it lightly. worse case was a got a copy of nightwish's oceanborn and the whole face cover was cracked and i was pissed as hell man. i feel like that what you said needed to be said thanks man, have a good one
I can relate to having cds broken in the mail I got seasons in the abyss by slayer and reign supreme by dying fetus come in with the cases completely shattered
I usually buy my music from Amazon because they are always guaranteed. I have received scratched and damaged discs on several occasions but I have always been able to get either a refund or return for another copy.
When Dave Mustaine remastered peace sells through risk he remixed them and made them louder leaving no dynamic range. This is most noticeable with rust in peace where some of the vocal tracks are noticeably different than the originals. But on all of them including countdown to extinction the bass and drums sound a little off in comparison to the original. And samples from certain songs on cryptic writings and risk were removed and some vocal effects on Mary Jane were removed
I always just go to a use music store or something to find music cds since i do get pretty lucky finding stacks of death metal cds for only 2$ each. Whenever i buy cd online i mostly go to sites where i know they sell what i wanted ebay sellers always gives me worrys etc..
Problems about stream music sites like spotfy, if an music are banned from your country they will remove the music from your digital collection, and there's too much censored lyrics.
I bought an original american copy for screaming for vengance from that same moviemars seller, and the end, he sent me the remaster, and on top of that, the case was all cracked, try not to buy from that seller

back in march i bought the first two Nocturnus albums... they still haven’t come
i share your pain man i use apple music for my listening needs now, but every now and there i'm like oh awesome a barthory cd or hey a album that i've been looking for that is't a arm and a leg and a couple toes on top of that. i used inport cd for a few years till they filled the box with cds no packing or anything and i'd say for every 10 i'd buy 3 will have the holders broken and it's infuriating to say it lightly. worse case was a got a copy of nightwish's oceanborn and the whole face cover was cracked and i was pissed as hell man. i feel like that what you said needed to be said thanks man, have a good one
I can relate to having cds broken in the mail I got seasons in the abyss by slayer and reign supreme by dying fetus come in with the cases completely shattered
But... the 2004 remaster of countdown to extinction does sound awesome
He Said Remasters can Be Hit Or Miss
I usually buy my music from Amazon because they are always guaranteed. I have received scratched and damaged discs on several occasions but I have always been able to get either a refund or return for another copy.
I know this is unrelated but thank you for introducing me to Terrorizor
“World Downfall” changed my musical expectations forever
Love misfits. Favorite punk band....Do you have any AxCx records or cds or something?
Hey, man, I was just wondering, what exactly changes in the 2004 remaster of Countdown to Extincion and the original release?
Damn I fucking love ur videos ❤️❤️
Problems about stream music sites like spotfy, if an music are banned from your country they will remove the music from your digital collection, and there's too much censored lyrics.
Love the shirt
Thank you! Courtesy of the Metalhead Box!
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack Deathwish is underrated as hell
Got a copy of arise by sepultura
On cd it's a reissue and I got more songs than I bargained for
Great vid
I bought an original american copy for screaming for vengance from that same moviemars seller, and the end, he sent me the remaster, and on top of that, the case was all cracked, try not to buy from that seller
I got an American first press of screaming for vengeance as well as exhorder’s slaughter in the Vatican for like $5-$7 at a bookstore
I ordered a Deicide cd and inside the box I got a poop filled diaper.
I know someone is gonna say “what’s the difference?” So I’ll get it out of the way
