Hey bro, thanks for sharing this video and some of the dialogue from the show. I wasn't able to attend this show, so I appreciate seeing what little of it people have been posting.
Between this video and your Skinny Puppy video, I'm really loving these extended concert/trip videos. Also, I'm glad you got to see Agalloch and things got better after such a shitty time.
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack I also didnt know Agalloch hung out at Horse Brass Pub. I just went earlier this year randomly while killing time before a Eluveitie show.
I am listening to Agalloch since their "Pale Folklore" Album, it flashed me. When the breakup was being announced, it felt like a death into the family. And shortly before, i couldn't see them live into cologne/germany on Wednesday, the 12th august 2015 here...because of work. It really sucked hard.
I won't forget when I first listened to Agalloch in February 2015 (the magnificent song was "Falling Snow", then the next one was "Not Unlike the Waves"). I was immediately hooked to their atmospheric and pure metal music! But the following year, the roof caved in when I learned they broke up (as well as Bolt Thrower). I thought we would never hear from them again until this year! Luck be told that I might finally get the chance to see the one and only Agalloch if they come to Texas. I'm glad you saw them and had a hell of a time, Killbot! Grind on!
Tony i just wanna say thank you so much you’ve had probably the biggest impact on my music taste (besides my dad) you introduced me to some of my favorite albums and bands (brainoil, dystopia, ministry, type o negative, tool, bad brains, skinny puppy and probably others I’m not thinking of) so i wanted to return the favor and tell you about 2 post black groups I’ve been loving sadness and alene misantropi
We really enjoyed it and the video was helpful so i can use even if I been before but hearing places is a better guide and hope u know who loves you my friend
Looks like it was an amazing and profound experience. Agalloch is my favourite band currently active. I'd be blessed to see them live. Now I actually have a chance. It was nice seeing someone take the journey I've been longing for. Glad things are looking up.
Looks like you had a great time! Very cool video, next time I'm in Portland I have to do more exploring and see some of the things you did because I only got there the day before from Toronto (went to the Bulldozer gig right after landing, which was pretty sweet even if I was exhausted as fuck). I managed to spot myself in your video too, in the crowd shot at 20:11 - I'm the short-haired dude wearing the leather vest with the utterly crazy back patch. 🦉💀 Nice Agalloch-styled background music too! The show itself was one of the best I'd ever been to, maybe the best, and meeting the dudes by the guard rail afterwards was awesome. They're my favourite band of all time and it was my 3rd time seeing them; I flew out for it purely because I was worried it might be my last chance. Caught a flu bug on the way back, but it was worth it!
I have seen a few shows in PDX. There is so much stuff there, you do get the feeling like you've barely scratched the surface. You got to see some cool shit! It has many venues and a great scene. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit out west!
Thank you for doing all this Portland stuff! I live here in Oregon city and I’m currently not old enough to do most of the fun stuff that’s in Portland! So thank you for showing me what it’s like !!!! I hope to meet you one day!
Great video dude! I’m so sorry to hear about all of the struggles at the beginning of the video, but I hope you’re doing better now. Thank you for recording your experience, I’m unfortunately unable to make it to any of the Agalloch shows on this run, so this is a great way to live it vicariously. And I’m glad you enjoyed Denver! I’ve been lucky enough to grow up in the area and Wax Trax is no more than a 30 minute drive. Easily the best in Denver!
This was nicely put together, bravo! I think the best thing about these types of videos is not just the experience we viewers get to share, but it provides a time piece for you to go back to after life has taken it's course, so you can look back and see how much things have changed.
Wow we must’ve been standing pretty close to one another near the barrier, saw myself a few times in your videos at McMenamins. What a great show! And great job making this video documenting it! If you ever go to Portland again, it may be worth checking out that Little Red Shed- it was cool being in the same spot those lyrics were written, and makes you feel like you’re in the track “A Desolation Song”
Awesome, I’ve been looking forwards to this video! I live in the Pacific Northwest, but I’ve never been able to visit Portland even though I’ve been to other parts of the state. That reunion show would have been an amazing reason for a first visit, but I sadly couldn’t make it happen, but I’m very happy to live vicariously through this video! Seems like you had an amazing time there, definitely a good way to break up a few months of bullshit
Man, that would have been a killer show! I love Agalloch! I have the limited wooden box version of Ashes Against the Grain with the little bag of ashes and bone…do you have that?
Wow. This Video was amazing! I feel like I was right there with you the throughout the whole video. I seriosly pray for the day that I can see them live aswell. I know they were here a few weeks ago in germany but the ticket prices for the festival were too high plus I would have had to travel for like an entire day to get to where the festival was taking place and not only did I not have enough money for the festival but also the travel costs would have been a chore. But anyways I hope they are gonna play again at some point in the future near the city that I live in germany. Again such a nice video!
if anyone is too young to have experienced it, i promise this was the most like seeing them during the Dwayne era of any tour they’ve done post Last Rights.
Grib Jaanga Magazine (myself included) were so happy to hang out! Don't hesitate to visit again soon, and let us know! There's other arcades to visit!!! 🤙💀
Watching this video was like a where's waldo of all the places in portland I walk and go by constantly. 2nd avenue is like a safe haven every time I go there
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack yeah! I’ve lived around the area for around 8 years now and started going to diy punk and metal shows 3 years ago. Had a huge smile on my face watching the video and seeing you enjoy the places i’ve been at a million times.
man, i'm so sorry to hear that you've been ghosted. it's one of the most (if not THE most) disgustingly inhumane things one can do to another person. so unnecessary and just straight up cruel. only cowards do such a thing!! still, i'm happy that you keep meeting new people and making new friends - hopefully they will turn out being worthy of your time.
I love meeting people. Yeah, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve known them, or how close you are to them, or how good of a friend you try to be, sometimes people want it to be over for their own reasons. Best thing to do is pick yourself up and keep going
I had a similar experience with depression and hard times this summer. But I eventually overcame it with believe it or not two albums called first born by eyedea and spheres by Deutsch death metal band pestilence. Released in 1993
I just got a problem cavity filled. Is it usual to have terrible pain afterwards? (I also got both effigy of the forgotten and splatterthrash on cd today which helped out a bit)

They mentioned a couple times they’re trying to return it. But they have such a big homeless problem that everyone wants to focus on that first… after what I saw that week, I can’t say I blame them
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack That is fair. The housing crisis across the entire world is absurd at the moment. I hope to one day visit Portland when I next return to the US and get a photo of the Elk statue myself!
