Morecambe & Wise. What can you say. Unequalled,Unbeatable & Unsurpassed. They filled my childhood with so many moments of great laughter, which is more than you can say for some of the comedians today. Good clean comedy.
From a more gentle era of comedy, but funny as hell! I noticed the tap dance scene, Eric and Ernie were actually tapping! But not Cliff. Big up to Cliff though for his many other talents and his spirit of fun! Great viewing and thanks for sharing this. Love and peace.
Always loved Cliff Richard and thinks he's such a sport and great character. One of the UK's best vocalists. This was from a time when BBC were at their best. Great fun!
Cliff very beautiful and handsome like always and today , with his delicacy nature , a good actor too who delight the audience together with that two comedy actors wich l don't know they here in Romania! I know only Cliff Richard !Beautiful ! Thank you!🌺👏❤
They were two "All time great" comedians from the United Kingdom called Morecambe(Eric) and Wise(Ernie) who had the highest television ratings in the UK every Christmas 🌲 with their Christmas shows
11:08 - Gene Kelly mentioned here, and in 1976 Ernie would perform his own version of "Singing in the Rain" & Gene Kelly saw it and said it was the closest version to his original he ever saw and praised the duo, especially Ernie.
The key to Morecambe and Wise routines with big stars was that they would rehearse these routines over and over again with them for two weeks before studio recording. In a way, it was to help the stars to not laugh too much at the duo, play it straight if they could, it helped Eric and Ernie to hone their style with them.
Very well put. They were very professional. This is very respected. Unlike most …so called talent today…., shouting out.., spewing out comments. Sometimes, it just about hard work …, because ? It make things look seamless. Sadly, this training is no longer thought to young eager ….”put it out there “ kids of today. I agree.! We can learn so much….and introduce to everyone today….mixing it up….but sadly…being 55-65….were …? “Too old” lol….well,…, the young ones won’t listen…, so I guess…lol… it as it is. Sadly.
I really miss this type of humor…shame it’s gone. But, lord they made us Laugh 😂. I’m born 1963…… , miss this humor…., guess it’s too bloody. Woke, or racist, or something…..now. There is few laughter in society now. How sad.
In 1980, when Eric and Ernie were at Thames Television, due to a lack of new material they could get from Eddie Braben, they rehashed this opening routine with Cliff, with their 1980 guest star being Terry Wogan. The flat routine was nearly 99% a direct copy of this routine, just the song/dance number were changed.
Ernie: "You can have your group at the back -- Oliver, Newton, and John." Eric: "They're three nice fellas, and the work cheap. What more do you want?"
"You don't mind if I call ya Cliff, do ya Richard?" hahaha

Cliff was fantastic with Morecambe and Wise. Great comedy.
Cliff loved appearing on Morecambe and Wise. Loved how he joins in but then he does have a keen sense of humour himself.

well worth a watch
5:40 - I love this, Eric channelling his inner Les Dawson by playing Livin Doll on the piano in this own unique way. Superb.
He was playing all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order...
Still funny after all this time xxxx
Wish could see more on tv today

Comedy at its best.
Years before the Young Ones but it's a classic
Fabulous
Absolutely brilliant
Ernie: "You can have your group at the back -- Oliver, Newton, and John."
Eric: "They're three nice fellas, and the work cheap. What more do you want?"
Elvis is doing the Hawaii special the following week.
Who's Elvis????
Remember Cliff with long hair.

What happened to great entertainment?
Today we put any old trash on the stage or in the forefront of a mike!
No talent left. We're left with the likes of Robbie Williams...
Well, seeing as you've put it like that...
no
I really dislike Cliff but had to watch
Why do you dislike cliff???
Why, he is so talented in many areas and such a nice human being to boot!????
You were asked a question, why not answer it?
