Very enjoyable and informative video! I've ordered a Superdelite as well, should be here by May/June. I was looking up for the range and stumbled upon your channel! Subscribed right away and watched all of your recent videos :) Good job, keep 'em coming! PS. I also added you on Strava ;)
Great! It really gives me the envy going 200 km south (with the car) and tour a bit in this beautiful region with my quite new Riese & Muller Charger 3 vario (I do more "heavy" off road here without any problem, with Rock Razor tyres though)
Loved the video and the movie like climax regarding remaining kilometres uphill & potential night riding with no lights 😄. Funny it was the GoPro that gave out in the end😆.
12:19 I feel your pain! I did the same hill today in Tour, but only after 30km. I did 43km total with about 50% Tour, 25% Sport and 25% Turbo. Batteries (also 1.125KWh Superdelite) went from 100% to 48%. Without 2 batteries I would have been struggling - but the temp was hovering around zero today - maybe in September weather I would have had more range. Very impressive for you to do 192km on 80%.
Eight hours riding a bike is a pain in the butt (literally)! 😅 It took me all summer to prepare for that ride and I wouldn’t have made it without the Superdelite. It’s a great e-bike. You’re brave to ride on bike paths with these temperatures. I went for a short ride in the woods today where it feels less cold. Cheers!
Hello and thanks for the interesting video! I could only view it at 720p though, wich was a shame. Did you upload it at 720p or was I just too early and youtube hadn't finished processing the video? Anyway, I had a question. I read somewhere that the motor will cut off assistance when it has less than 10% battery left to ensure that the lights will still function. This sounded excessive to me but I wonder if you can confirm or deny it? Also, 190kms in one day is insane. And impressive. Insanely impressive!
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I don’t know if the assistance cuts off at 10% because I never managed to get that low 😅 It’s an interesting question though. I’ll keep that in mind for a future test. Cheers!
120 miles in 8 hours? Wow now that's a ride! I been looking at that bike for a while. I ride a Ebike with a 1500 Watt Bafang here in the USA. I'm wondering if the very small Bouch would have problems with steep hills?
You're a man of steel or completely nuts :-) I really have been enjoying your videos as I have the same bike. Can you tell me which seat you have please.
I’m no man of steel, so I’m probably nuts 🤪😆 I have the standard seat that came with the bike: the Selle Royale New Lookin Moderate Male. Not the best I’ve had but it does the job. I’m happy that you have the same bike. Are you happy with it? Cheers!
@@ruirodtube Yes, I have about 4000K on my 2020 Rohloff equipped SD now. The major update has been changing to Fox front and rear. The difference is amazing! It is so plush now I wish I had ordered the Fox upgrade when I bought the bike. The fork made the biggest improvement and was easy to install. I tried a Brooks B17 seat but it was torture. I now have an Ergon ST Core Prime that is working out quite nicely. Bye, bye Marc
@@marcparnes I've added the Cane Creek Thudbuster to my SD Rohloff (standard Suntour suspension) due to previous back injuries, same seat as you & Ruirod but I've still got the Brooks B17 on my shopping list. Hearing there is a 'breaking in' period, an I ask how many kilometres you trialled the B17 before you decided to stop using it? Likewise if I'm feeling pain I won't stick with it but interested in how long I should trial it for. Bearing in mind I don't do the super long tours that you & @Ruirodtube do.
You’re welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I agree that the bike is very expensive but it has features that I’ve never seen combined in any other bike in the world and the quality is very high. I live next to Germany so it cost me less in transportation and no import taxes compared to Australia. I must say it’s worth saving for.
I upgraded to a Super Delite from a Supercharger. Superchargers are less but for anyone that's seeing they're overpriced but still looking for quality, I'd recommend them even 2nd hand, a 12 month dealer warranty would be a must though. My Supercharger was traded in oz & it sold quickly.
Hi, I don't regret it because I couldn't combine the Rohloff with the Smartphonehub option, which I really wanted. I lost a good amount of gear range but it's enough unless you intend to climb the Alps with the bike :-) It's also easier to change "gears" with the Vario. I have another bike with the Rohloff and I find it tricky to change geas while pedalling over undulating terrain. Cheers!
Superb video, all of the right detail and metrics.

Hi, I'm glad it helped. Did you get your Superdelite in the mean time? Are you enjoying it?
Cheers!
Great effort to do this range test ! this will help allot of people on there choise. Well done !

Awesome ride and video, I really enjoyed it. I would like to make that ride myself, but unlikely since I'm in the USA.

That was great. Thanks for that, and for all the details.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Cool! Thanks for posting! I will watch it later

Regarding the lights, the Bosch system always leaves enough power in the batteries to run the lights for two hours after it stops providing assist.

New Videos any time soon?
If you were buying a new ebike now which one would you go for?
Thanks for the video. Good bike but overpriced, retails for 10k aud for twin battery.

NICE VIDEO, sorry for my stupid question, but is this normal one or high speed bike?
Hi Orkun, this bike provides electric assistance up to 25 km/h speed.
Glad you liked the video.

Do you regret not getting the Rohloff for your Superdelite, too?
