Thanks for the video! This (deleting the light in Hue, then searching, waiting a few seconds and then pressing the reset button) worked fine for me with one of two drivers that were unreachable. The other driver stubbornly refused to be found, until I unplugged the driver’s power cord and then plugged it back in. It was then found on the first search attempt in the Hue app. This unreachable driver thing seems to happen 2-3 times a year. It often seems to follow a power outage. Somewhat more frequently, the state of the driver goes out of synch with the Hue lights in the room when using the Hue dimmer switch. It’ll stay off when the other lights are turned on, then turn on when other lights are dimmed with a double press on the remote, etc. It’s a little glitchy but infrequent enough that I can live with it.

I haven't been able to find any info on why these Ikea Tradfri drivers keep getting unreachable randomly. Could be weeks they work perfectly fine with the Philips Hue bridge. And then suddenly one or all become unreachable in a randomized way. This video doesnt talk about the root cause. Fixing it is easy enough - delete the driver, re pair the driver, done. But it's super annoying doing it all the time. I tried changing channels. Bridge is sitting inches away from drivers. Mind boggling.

For everyone that tried it the 20 times and it didn't with, try turning on and off the hub. It was inconsistent for me. Use the "hue essential" app with the touch link

Still not working for me. I turned off the hub and back again but it's not finding the driver. I managed to get a GU 10 to work. So I know it's possible. Any other ideas?

I managed to get the ikea lights working on the Phillips hue app but as soon as I pair the dimmer with the lights they go unreachable, any ideas? Thanks

Probably abit late for this but I've the same issue. I think if you use Philips hue dimmer remote switch instead it should have the same functionality but not have the problem because it's paired to the hub and not the light itself.

@@neilvau9han let me know how you get on! Mine is refusing to connect to my hue hub at all now.. bought the Lidl ZigBee hub todayand it connected first try! 😂 The rooms main light switch (also smartlife) is now controlling the IKEA under counter lights.

the driver is the smart part of the system. I'm able to plug in normal compatible lights and make them smart.

Im able to connect the driver to the Philips Hue but when I try to pair up the driver with the remote dimmer it makes the driver unreachable in the bridge. Do i have to pick between the two?

You shouldn't have to pick, not sure why pairing the remote makes the driver unresponsive. When you pair the driver to hue before you pair the remote can you control the lights?

@@EverydayTechchannel i decided a while back to just use the remote and not worry about having it in the app. Ikea lights arent rgb and stuff, so I normally dont have em on at the same time.

Yeah I.have the same issue. Paring the driver to Hue, but once you pair the Tradfri controller it makes the driver undetectable or unresponsive in the Hue app. Why?? Is it either connect through tbe hue app or use by the controller??
