Like this one a lot Kerrod...thank you!
Thank you too!
Bravo Monsieur! I play since 1991 and I do subscribe to your method and your previous vid concerning a slight wrists action when putting! This advice ( Justin Rose does it…) is the best for average players who are sticked in their straitjacket which leads them to a lack of consistency and rythm for power and accuracy!! Your conception contributes to release golfers from all these methods that break rythm and ease. The OPTA is a mistakes maker for weekenders.
Excellent explanation. Will try it out.
Right I forsure remembering this one thanks
Fantastic Kerrod, thank you. Presetting the wrists is so subtle with huge impact. I had a chronic chicken wing but this simple drill has fixed it immediately. Your instructions are by far the best and definitely worthy of a subscription.
This is by far the BEST golf tip out there bar none...and I've been playing golf for almost 25 years now. Thank you Kerrod for saving my golf swing. Now I can even hit my 3 wood flush not to mention all other irons. Where were you Mr. Gray 25 years ago...? Thank You.
it's especially beneficial for us older golfers to get a wrist set
Hinge, turn, follow through. Love it. Keep it simple.
Just tried this at the range. Works really well. Now to combine with bowing left wrist too.
Awesome. I was thinking the same thing. Now you verified this and I can practice and inprove my swing.
Great to hear!
Good Luck 👍
This is the best golf instruction on UA-cam . I’ve used a few tips over the last few months and it’s work great . 👌
Great to hear!
Many Thanks 👍
Really good video. Thanks!
Thanks 👍
Finding some exceptional explanations on this channel that are really helpful to me in working on the swing issues I've been battling. Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Small change made a HUGE difference! Thanks!🤙
Thanks for visit 👍
Very informative, thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Many Thanks 👍
Yes. Good tips, good corrections in my flexibility a do the right golf swing. Thanks Kerrod Gray.
Thank you, Oscar!
Bloody amazing. For the longest time i was wondering why i couldn't get my left arm straight when rotating my torso. Thanks heaps!
Best single tip I've watched in a long while, if not ever. Always had trouble keeping my arms straight, and I always wondered why... and you articulated "how and why" so well. Made me a more confident golfer. Thank you.
Thanks
Excellent video, thanks
Glad you liked it!
Thanks!
It's absurd that it took me 3 years to find this video. I have been working seriously on improvement for about 4.5 years, with multiple hours of practice every day. After trying this tip -- which is to apply pressure with the heel off the trail palm to keep the lead arm straight -- I believe I now know what real compression feels like.
My 7 iron went from about 153 carry to 170 carry with about 8° of draw and starting less than 0.5° offline after about 8 swings with this technique. And I was swinging with much less effort, and I have yet to actually practice this technique because it is late for me. The only effort was the mental effort to keep the pressure with my trail palm heel. These strikes were consistent too. In fact, my first few were so consistent, I purposefully mishit my 4th to make sure my launch monitor wasn't "stuck".
Simply amazing tip.
Thank you so much for the feedback and the super thanks! I'm so glad this video finally found you. That is some seriously impressive results in such a short time frame. Love the 'pinch me' moment when you had to mishit to believe it haha 🙌
Excellent lesson. Enjoyed watching of the video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic video demonstration
Many thanks 🙏🏻
Great tip! Thanks mate!
You're welcome!
Perfect tips & teaching. Exactly I was looking for & yes I video myself on the driving range lol. I will do this drill often to improve my swing even better! The problem I have is I lift weights. Deadlifts & pullups cannot be friends with flexible golf swing. It's alright, I can use it to my adv in hitting the driver. Thanks so much!
Thanks
Great teaching
Thank you 👍
Amazing technique! I will try this
Thanks for the visit!
Good Luck for your game 👍
This tip has helped me more than any other!
Great to hear!
Thanks for the visit 👍
Extensor action from the Golfing Machine? Nice to hear your presentation.
Top notch info.
Many Thanks 👍
Keeping arm straight through the swing is critical for great ball striking and distance. I had a hard time for awhile with this. I played professional golf back in the 90s and I can not say enough about your arm has to stay straight. My game got alottttt better with this tip your showing now. I am 62 now and I can still get it out there 290-300 because of my left arm staying straight.
This is very good and demystified the swing
Thanks 👍
Now thats was a good tip. 👍
Been changing to Stack & Tilt but still couldn’t get consistent low point, hitting the ground in the same place every time, this one great tip has resolved this issue, now have a really great golf swing. Thank you for this, fantastic
Keep it up
I have the same issue with stack and tilt. Hoping this works for me.
This is a great pre-set drill even on the course especially if you are getting stuck. I also built in a check to make sure I am shifting weight correctly. Hinge, straight arm back, weight shift, finish and follow-through. Very easy swing thoughts. Thanks Kerrod!!
You're welcome, Broc!!
I fell into a Homer Kelley "Golfing Machine" induced, once you bend the right elbow you're guaranteed a flat left wrist, which you hold forever (sustain the lag)! Good luck!
Fantastic
Thanks 👍
Nice tip.
Cause iam be finding my right arm.too much which narrows the path. I like the idea of the pressure of the right hand onto the left hand as well. Will give it a try. Thanks.
Works well!
I also like how it helps with rotation.
How do you balance straight arms and fluidity for speed ?
Hi Kerrod, so it's not just a drill, I can incorporate this into my actual swing?
Nevermind, I read the earlier post. So 3,000 to 5,000 reps over time I will start to internalize it. This is awesome and just what I needed, thank you!
You're welcome!
Awesome
Thanks 👍
Can you do that with driver swing?
Should we not include a secondary spine tilt away from the target a few degrees to help keep the left arm straight. and turn into that small tilt away ti the top of the backswing or an i incorrect.
Thanks for the tip but I have one question. This is a good drill, however when playing golf I don’t think you should preset you wrists that early. How do you suggest we go from this drill into a playable golf swing? Thanks
This was what I was about to ask too! Hope we get a reply. Otherwise love the concept and will be practicing it
Hey guys, by doing this on a consistent basis in a drill swing over time you will unconsciously begin to naturally have more wrist as time goes on. Anywhere between 3000-5000 slow, conscious reps is what is needed to internalise new movments
I started hinging following through my ball line on backswing and followed through down path line on forward swing. Better ball strikes as well as increased accuracy. Hope this helps.🤙
I think early preset of the wrists is a good thing for someone that doesn’t realize what correct wrist set is supposed to feel like. They should try to feel the right wrist cock straight back, while the left wrist slightly bows. I didn’t fully understand how to set my wrists for years. I would end up with the left wrist very cupped, at the top, and it felt like a powerful position to me. Understanding wrist positions is a weird thing to accomplish, but very, very important. Plus, an early wrist set will make your backswing feel “full” earlier, so you don’t feel the need to bend the arms, to get that “full” backswing feeling.
Please answer Murray Goodman and Dean Goranites' question. Many people would like to hear your explanation. Thanks
Great video mate , very interesting ⛳️🏌️♀️⛳️🏌️♀️👍👍
Thanks for the visit 👍
Very well explained and demonstrated. I was told by another golf instructor that a slight bend of the left arm is okay. At 71 yrs of age my body just doesn’t like to obey what my brain tells it to do. Your thoughts?
Is this with the driver also thanks
Sure is, Paul!
Hi, Because of right wrist arthritis I am unable to bend the right wrist backwards. Any suggestions?
Hi, Robert! How are you? There are matchups for everything! See your local qualified professional who has links with a physio. Thanks, anyway!
You got your information from the golfing machine by Homer Kelley. 6b1d. Extensor action. I wish all your information was based on that book. But then they would call it plagerism.
Excellent!
Thanks! Hope it helps
i just learned golf for 2 month and I just notice that the right arm should be straight. as I learned from my coach that the most important thing is to keep the left arm straight...
Should be a guideline to the swing imo. The backswing should only go as far as you can keep that lead arm straight comfortably. Over rotation and breaking down is worse than being shorter. Stop trying to overpower everything and play what you can play.
Nicklaus always set his wrists earlier than most pros.
i need a brace because no matter what it bends :( even when i think i didnt bend it
Maintain the swing radius not a straight left arm. Pushing the right hand out will work.
disagree watch Ben hogan,Gary player, scotty sheiffler,to name a few all had bent left elbows,
You’re naming some of the best ball strikers ever..this drill seems to be focused on helping amateurs gain consistency with ball striking, which a straight left arm helps.
How many kittens were killed in the making of this video?
is that a dying raccoon screeching?
Not too sure about this one.
I'll bite .. why?
Fantastic
Thank you! Cheers!
