Here is my version of hotel rexford from Good Neighbor built in Sanctuary Hills. It has a casino kind of vibe, but I was trying to be a little conservative. Let me know what you think!

Love the lighting, you nailed it! Even with the light coming through the floors, which annoys me normally, it adds so much character, makes it kinda seedy in all the right ways 😂
Nice!!! Love the rooftop bar. I made a similar stage to yours with the silver shroud backdrop in a build recently, but just used the white spotlights. I think I'm gonna go back and change the lighting cause the red and blue looks badass!!!

Waste of space. I used to build them in my apartments, but as time goes by I "grew up", trying to please every possible aspect of life... because once you start with it, there's no end.^^ Now I prefer to keep it simple and functional - which is also nice and saven a lot of time. A LOT. ;-) That is, of course, when you actually play the game. When you're just building, that's a whole different story then.

You should build a clinic across from the Hotel so people can visit it as soon as they enter Sanctuary. As for my settlement building I am using the Conquest mod, and I am building a Greenhouse/Drug Lab up at Vault 111.
Huh. Reading your comment, I couldn't remember if I'd built a clinic for my settlement at Chestnut Hillock Reservoir, but once I started typing, I remembered I had... Catty-corner to the brothel and across from the bar. Weird how the mind works sometimes.
magic217685 is the conquest mod on Xbox and if so what does it do
nidgethewidge Conquest _is_ on Xbox and it allows you to build new settlements (up to 10, I believe) pretty much wherever you want on the map (though I believe it can't overlap another settlement; I don't know, I don't really use it myself).

I love this video!! I live very close to Savannah GA and I have seen this gorgeous hotel before. LOTS of gorgeous things in Savannah. Would be awesome to actually build a settlement based off of the look of Savannah.

Haha I'm probably the only one who thought this but when it rains, the whole top area is going to flood. Then it will flood down the stairs and into the entire building. Overhangs are important haha

My dad took an art class in college, the instructor taught him you need to lay down a framework, draw this get perspective, draw these to capture the shape, his analogy was perfect though for the whole lecture. The Professor asked, "How do you build a house? Do you have a guy hold a window up and you build the house around it? Or do you start with the foundation and work your way up? Voted you up though for innovating! ( i prefer you start with the foundation is all im saying, lmao. Its like legos, i try to follow along and i use these videos as like my instruction manual.)

This build is amazing but I can't help but feel like it would feel more alive if you used the relaxation alarm thing to bring your settlers into the building. It would be cool to see what it looks like populated
I love the Cat's Paw lounge, but I feel bad for the people sleeping in rooms 201 and 202. lol
The more of these videos I watch, the more I feel like anything I build in settlements just looks like a 4x4 dirt minecraft hut.

You should build a small building for the security guards of your settlement, inside they have a barracks, small shooting range and canteen. Then near or after the Sanctuary bridge, have a small guard box with a barrier so new settlers are run through checks.

Man, I really hafta thank you for getting me onto Workshop Rearranged, too. Total life-saver. ^_^ Well, and the video that helped me fix my load order. And Snappy Housekit is pretty awesome... I got that from you, also. Hmm. I should prolly just name my firstborn son after you at this point - but I already named him Shaun and he was a bit of a disappointment. Turned my back for just 60 years and he goes off and becomes an evil mastermind. Yeesh. Kids.
LOL, you built the hotel in the same place I chose for my hotel. I figure people entering Sanctuary might want to crash for the night after making their journey :)
I'd like to see you two a video when you go through and put it all the decorations and how you talk about how you decide how much decorations too much and what should I pray since you think you're going to look good
Also, I haven't been keeping up, but, if you already built a police station, it would get great right there in front of the hotel. To control the entry point and also no one would want to live right next to a gas station/hotel so a house doesn't make sense :P

This is a really awesome build. I love the decor and especially the stage. Being that I have nowhere near your awesome ability, I feel a little guilty picking out a bit of a design flaw. But especially give that you are going to want your guests handing over caps to knock back lots of liquor. Do you think maybe a bathroom might be kinda useful? Just sayin. Apart from that it is a top build and I think I'm going to have to plagiarise it for my own Sanctuary build.

Wow, great job. i can't make four walls and roof without floating floors and holes in the walls. What mods are you using?
To make the trim lore friendly you could say that it's gold plated and made of another metal like brass or steel which would also by lore mean the metal is stronger

How do you wire your buildings? Sorry if someone has asked this before. Just started watching.
Your bar needs that mod that lets you make one of your settlers be a singer, I don't know the name of it just seen it in other vids.
Cordless, tsk tsk... a great build, however one question, Why are there no bathrooms, do your guests have to pee off the balconies? Man that would be bad if you're the one on the bottom floor hanging out on the porch and the person above decided they gotta take a dump. EEKS Had to pick on you, your builds are always great, love to see them! LOL
that picture on the wall in the bar look like the Detroit skyline
You should build a rec center that is also a gym and put a basketball court and stuff like that in it

X Yokie The radio station could be right across the street maybe. The radar dish could be on top of the car port and the entrance can house where they talk on the radio! Maybe they could use it not only to send radio signals for people to come there but they could also broadcast music and news going on there. I mean it wpuld be canon

Are the pieces of Snappy Housekit navmeshed and are Npcs able to navigate through the alternate doorways(curved and double-door styles) used in this build? I never see settlers in any of these builds
You should build a power plant, because the more you build the greater the demand for power will get.

Hey Cordless VII there is a mod out there and it is called settlement object expansion pack i haven't tried it but i think that you might like it.

Hey I've been trying to make a better mod order for settlement building running into issues with uso and gn2 conflict wondering if you had any tips?
Not sure if it's on xbox but get the singing settlers mod and the Workshop Synth Production(is on xbox) then make a synth clone of magnolia and make her sing on tge top floor of your hotel

You don't need to excuse it, you can just make your own lore that these are prewar buildings. Make it more like a outlying city than a suburb

can you build a child of atom temple?
I have a question which probs has a really simple amswer. When im building i have to look away from items ive built so im able to scroll through the menus whereas you can have your reticule on a build piece abe be able to press A to go in different item menus and it doesnt select the built item when your cursor is on it. Eg at 1:35 lol how do you do that
my only question is did you make one of the settlements a Inn vender, if so how did you do it, cause there are no mods for it
