After helping every settlement, thousands of times, Preston finally revealed that he had a level of 100 conjuration, and summoned a Red Rocket. Also Arvak. Also Arvak.
Bahahaha he thinks he has 100 speech, boy was he wrong.

Explanation of why this Red Rocket station exists:
It was there before the "main one" we find in-game. Folks from Concord would come all the way to Sanctuary to use it, because it was more convenient then heading to Lexington or Boston just to refuel. Red Rocket were enjoying the business, but it was creating too much traffic for Sanctuary's narrow roads, and the rickety wooden bridge couldn't cope with all the extra stress.
Red Rocket was forced to close down, and re-open outside Sanctuary. This also explains the chain-link fence around the Sanctuary Red Rocket. It was scheduled for demolition, and was thus off limits.
SIMPLE EXPLANATION: Red Rocket Garage was there 1st. When the land was sold for the development of Sanctuary Hills, the owner of Red Rocket was the last hold out. He wouldn't sell, so the developers said Fuck it, and built the subdivision around him. Happens all the time. :)

Or they moved the red rocket cross the bridge to sanctuary.
Sanctuary Hills was military housing and red rocket was a Exchange/gas station for satellite station Olivia the bus was heading to Mom middle school and he pushed all the cars in there the shipping container is from the vault making it a junkyard lore friendly explanation

here's your back story
a prewar ghoul who was a red rocket employee got you out of a tough time with an enemy you wanted to repay him so you asked if he'd like something and he wanted a garage in sanctuary, so it was close enough to help people, and build his own creations and pass down his engineering knowledge.
Take a shot every time he says workshop rearranged. I'm not responsible for any or all deaths that come from this challenge

If you need an idea for a background story that tells why a Red Rocket station is located in Sanctuary Hills, it could be that Sanctuary Hills, at the time just before the bombs fell when Sole Survivor and family lived in the area, it was a very newly build suburb and Red Rocket was meant to be removed but never made it because the bomb fell right when they were supposed to begin deconstruction.
Before that time it was simply a Red Rocket gas station as any other, placed by the Northern highway leading out of the Boston area. There may have been a bit of negotiation taking place which made it take a little longer than usual to get the contract signed and the Red Rocket station taken down, but the houses were build even so since they had already been approved and the land been bought (except for the patch of land where the Red Rocket station is at which was bought at the very last moment).

I have another idea for your Red Rocket settlement (although I think you may have considered it already and decided against it). It goes as follows: Instead of a pool table at the patio, you could make a fire place and some regular patio chairs, just a place to sit and chill. The pool table could be moved up unto the roof, maybe along with a bar and a jukebox. It may even be possible to build the stairway so that the patio and the floor becomes two parts of one whole relaxation and entertainment area.
- It's just an idea and I can see why if you think it might be a bit too much. After all, main focus shouldn't be diverted too much away from the build-in added living areas that surround the main structure.

I think it's okay to have a Red Rocket in Sanctuary, I would think that it's a chain of gas station and or convenience stores that can be found in multiple locations within a city. Since the one down the street is a full on gas station, I would think this one was more of a convenience type local store. Great job!
Workshop rearrange is pretty awesome it makes building fun again
1. When something doesn't snap, I usually open the console and disable the object in the way. After successfully snapping what I wanted to snap I enable them again.
2. When I need to put things in places, where they don't belong, I put them un several rugs and shove them there with the rug glitch :)

I used driveables of the commonwealth and say that sturges repaired a few trucks to bring supplies from the commonwealth to build the red rocket and other buildings including repairing sanctuary houses.

Cordless: the red rocket was a corporate idea from the pre war era in which they would expand into suburban areas to increase sales. The sanctuary minutemen decided to complete construction and use it to store power armor.
the red rocket could have been built there originally by a the guys who owned the first one outside sanctuary. due to their dumping their waste underground they contaminated the old one and opened a new one down the street.
When you make a nuka world themed build you should have Sheffield living there

For me, Workshop Rearranged and Master Plan conflict. It caused problems where items don't appear in my wood tab.
Anyone else have this problem?
Travforvy yeah, same exact thing for me. Workshop rearranged conflicts with many of my menu editing settlement mods. However, USO does not, so I installed all other mods first (minus workshop rearranged) and USO last, and everything is great now. No conflicts
Travforvy - do you have the Workshop Rearranged master plan mod patch? There are workshop rearranged patches for most common mods
Travforvy I do not have the patch.. I didn't know there was one. I use PC mods so it might be different
I have the patch, and the mods still conflict. I have also tested to confirm that it is the Master Plan causing it. I'm on PC also.
You need the patch, and it will work just fine. I've checked, WR was not updated and it's still at 1.6.4. If things in wood are still missing you either have other mods that conflict, or the patch is not activated somehow.

a bunch of guys went and broke down a red rocket and rebuilt it. I'm pretty sure caps can talk lol As well, at this point in time i can imagine theres quite a few people who know how to make cement and stuff.
the lore is that red rocket needed to expand since they were going broke so they put more in suburbs it was then decided that it would be helpful to put it in suburbs because it would help get more money after this atom cats needed to expand to show their custom power armor and heard of the sole survivor had opened his sanctuary for people and since they are friends they took the opportunity to show their work and make some caps
Go scrap the red rocket that’s just outside sanctuary and then you can say they disassembled and relocated it because sanctuary is more secure and the station being such a landmark as you mentioned would help bring people in

i think i see what you're trying to do with that front gate at 11:15 I'm not gonna give it away because you wanna keep it under wraps but there is another place in this game that has a gate very similar to that i can't wait for the reveal XD

I'm building one at Warwick homestead. my story is I'm helping the cats recruit more members. everyone wears an atom cats outfit, pompadour wig, sunglasses, and has the power armor paint job.

The minutemen find an alien lab that has a clone technology that can be used to copy buildings and place it down somewhere else. So the minutemen decide to clone red rocket and place it in sanctuary.
The story goes with red rocket running low on money due to the lack of gas using cars and trucks. Red Rocket corporation thought that sanctuary was the easiest to add one in becouse it is a new addition to Boston. They added one to get more money to get more money and were going to expand out to Boston but the bombs fell before they could

I started doing a modded build of sanctuary but a little bit in I realized I need to make a plan and put down everything before so I'm gonna restart it
Sold additional PS4 to grab an Xbox One because of the lack of mods/frustration of building and decorating. Looking forward to having better control in that aspect. Already got a list of mods ready to go. :)

The sole survivor and the settlers at sanctuary hills slowly over many months gathered up supplies that they collected from traders and caravans all around the commonwealth finally had enough supplies to build there own red rocket filling station in sanctuary hills

They could have had an ambitious settler who wanted to just deconstructed the one down the road move it at this to make a store.
Just say that sanctuary was off base military housing. There are so many neighborhoods (on and off base) that have random gas stations/minimarts just like this. Especially back in the day.
you should make more faction buildings in sanctuary,like an institute outpost or BOS headquarters

great build, 10/10 but damn infuriating to try and replicate! knowing how you lined the van and truck up would have been a really big help
i noticed the truck was sunk into the ground and trying the pillar glitch didn't work...so! i had to first built 3 shack floors, built the truck on top of the shack floors and then attach a pillar and hit select all and sink it in that way...then with the van i noticed how the wheels sat normal to the ground and didnt hover...well mine was half on the ground and half hovering because of the slope. i tried to build it all in exactly the same location.
i ended up giving up

So I downloaded a mod that allows me to build outside the settlement build area. I then traveled directly to Somerville Place and proceeded to build a very vertical settlement with houses on top of each other connected with stairs throughout the houses and decorated each building as if it was someone's personal room on the vertical rocks to the back left of the settlement. It was my favorite build ever. Now I'm trying to turn Jamaica Plain into a new Quincy. Any ideas?

Can you do like a naval base with navy vessels, an admirals quarters, a pier you know what a post-war Naval Base would look like. I have the location chosen with boats, I just don't know how to build it. I think you will choose the same location as me.

at 0:18 - at this point i find out that red rockt reborn mod is a -"red rocket snap and build mod" that comes with pre-fab red rocket snap and build peices.
i find this interesting because this mod has been out for a long time and i never knew that such a thing was already released. i kept saying there needs to be a red rocket snap and build to come out unknowing that one had already been released. ...
is there a clean red rocket snap and build or just this dirty post war one? either way im happy to find out that such a mod does exist. id like to know if a clean version of this mod is out so i could build such a structure on the pre-war map in order to test my building skills.

what mods were you using for some reason I can't hear you when you say it. specifically I'm looking for workshop add ons. I have an xbox one and in one of your previous videos the making of the sanctuary house you said you used snap n build but I can't find those wall paper add ons so all my walls look dumb.
well it aint that bad it does miss the vibe but its there, I've turn all my settlements Atom Cat since I'm playing with a Greaser character as me. lol
