CordlessVII I have snappy house builds and I have been using it to repair the house on spectacle island since I got it. It's taking time cause I've been waiting for supplies from my provisioners

@@Qscraps He may be annoying, but he's a decent companion to use as a pack mule. If memory serves me right I gave him grognak's costume and axe after I found a style that I liked on Cait better. He's an absolute beast with that setup, and it's downright hilarious to see him LARPing through fallout 4.

I'm loving your sanctuary build, to me it reminds me of the living history places, but with a post apocalyptic feel. It's also kinda like the sole survivor has created this place as his "sanctuary" that brings him/her back to their time. Awesome stuff!
Great build as usual, Cord. For the foundations, particularly for that annoying gap at the entrance: Snappy Housekit has a Foundations menu, which has special Church foundations that include trim for the foundation blocks, which might help with that issue.
Weird, I guess my comment got deleted. Anyways my idea was to make a "abandoned" shack that looks terrible from the outside, probably on the edge of the maps border so no goes there, but make the inside look like an institute synth is living there sent by the institute undercover to spy on your settlement.

The church kit in snappy housekits is one of the first things that interested me about the mod, great little church you built looks natural and like it belongs there
If you kill Preston he'll just haunted you. Its best to lock him away forever.
This sanctuary is not only coming out incredible, but believable as well, great job man keep it up.

It might be a simple church, but damn does it look better than the vanilla church. The only missing from it is something to go on those two foundation pieces that are to the left and right of the entranceway. If it was me I would've put some flowers or shrubbery there.

The pathway in the cemetery sucks so hard. Legend has it that half the people buried there died tripping over it.

Great Build. In most small towns the Church is the biggest building. So I think it fits great !

it's not TOO out of place...but the rest of the town needs to be built up a little bit to keep in step with the church...tatty metal government looking housing for the poorer section of town? but then again...it really isn't that big of a town as it is...more like a not-so gated community? eh, who needs details anyway?

Thank you for the help on moving items smoothly. I play on PC but prefer using the XBOX controllers, so that bit of info also applied to me since the game will use the controller settings when playing the way I do.

Fun fact... He was correct when he first said graveyard. A cemetery is when the land for burial is not apart of church grounds. Graveyards are land for burial that are apart of church grounds. Awesome build, by the way! I love Cordless VII's videos. They give me a lot inspiration for my own FO4 builds! :)

I've been using Snappy for well... years? I always thought half the kit was broken lol. I should have taken idk... 10 minutes to watch someone build with it!? It's finicky yeah, but it's NOT broken lol. It has edge pieces. I finally built a GOOD church! Going to work on a Cemetery as well. Thanks for the video and inspiration.
Oh and to anyone reading this, get the entire Master Plan kit, at least the church and red rocket ones, they're incredible! Also pick up the pack for Rebuild - Modular Sanctuary Pre-War and Post-War Build Set. It's basically Snappy for Sanctuary housing.
This video inspired me to build a graveyard in my main settlement, as someone who takes essential tags off my settlers and try to not let them die during raids it's really great for immersion to have a graveyard near my church rip to my losers

How do you build higher? I have tried to put the steeple on, but it won't allow me to? I tried to install a mod that makes the build height limit higher, but it puts all of the buildings back in that I removed, and won't let me remove them again.

Once again, looks amazing. Have to give you props on getting Snappy HouseKit to work, I'm not quite as intelligent haha.
Also, there's a couple seconds where the screen goes black around the middle of the video. Can't tell if that was a glitch, or there was something hiding. ;) (I'm sure it was a glitch, I'm just jokin'.)

I feel like the church needs to be just a little wider. Great build the church just looks a little cramped
How did you get to add the spire to the top of the front section as you put the door section on then another section on top of that then the spire but I’ve tried to do this but it won’t let me do it, it snaps into place but has a red outline and won’t let me place it I’ve tried two different settlement expansion mods n neither of them make any difference can you please help as currently my church only has a short spire at the front (the door section and the roof)

Yes I do. Mostly fixed things like windows and such. But also some things I made myself. Maybe at one point I might do a collection of vanilla only objects. When I am done with updates.. :)
Am working on Hightech Kit now which is huge! And the HouseKit/DecoMainC/Pier kit that is in Far Harbor. A small but nice little kit. I hope I'll have that ready soon! And if anyone wants more kits added let me know! :)
Oh that's awesome! I was planning on building a Far Harbor style pier in my Sanctuary build, so I'll definitely be looking out for the update. Is there any kind of Diamond City kit available? I have no idea how mods like this work, but I've been looking for mods that give us a lot of structures/green walls that we see in DC and can't seem to find much. There are a couple of mods that have one or two structures from there, but that's about all I've found. Again, that's for all of your hard work! It makes building so much more enjoyable.

You need a shrine for Nora, especially if you are making a cemetery for random settlers. norespawns has a good one.
I'm building a giant medieval castle but trying to figure out how to use the huge wooden arch for my vast ceiling. It ain't acting like it's meant to be used for the roof haha

for PS4 use Scrap All The Things. for scrapping driveways, foundations, etc...Link In Description
Also make sure to save before you scrap something because you may scrap something you really didn't want to like I did. I now have a dirt path through sanctuary.

You should have made the church out of sanctuary building pieces so it looks like you just repurposed it. Like the church in diamond city that is in the little metal building.
I'm going to do another version of a church soon with different items (not so fancy ones). I'll keep this idea in mind for that one. Thanks!

It's a graveyard. Graveyards are attached to churches. Cemetaries are not.
nice but too many mods for me, last time i used just a snap anywhere type mod it didn't snap a thing, in fact i think it eventually made things worse, when i removed it, it messed up a lot of stuff. i had to do major repairs on one settlement and scrap another,, still having problems with the one settlement i scrapped, now it crashes the game if i do too much etc., in that settlement when i never had problems before. maybe if i ever want to do a fresh game i will try more mods, but not until then.

Love the build, but it's a "grave yard" - which is attached to a church. A cemetary has no church. Semantics, right?

Someone needs to port the mod Enough About The Settlements Already Preston by Yukichigai from Nexus over as an XBOX mod to bethesda.net.
That mod makes Preston much less annoying by changing the radiant "Settlement Needs Help" quest so that he cannot give you one of them while you already have one listed as incomplete in your PipBoy. It doesn't matter if you got the quest from Radio Freedom or Preston because the mod will still make it so that Preston will know that quest is incomplete and thus not give you one until it is.
That mod is, like so many Nexus mods, only available for the PC. I do not have the capability to port this mod over to consoles, nor would I want to try if I could.
If someone were to port it, many console players would find the mod to be a necessity. They would stop hating Preston for the flaw in his coding, and actually find that they and him do agree that the Commonwealth needs to be rebuilt, that someone does need to help defend it, and that people do deserve a home they can feel safe and relaxed in.
