This is good stuff here, just starting our 1940 ford truck and on the fence with so many things from one end to the other. I think this video answered what front end to use. Thanks
Thanks for taking the time and making these vids of the bolt in kit. Would you know by chance what the width is from rotor to rotor? Especially from the rotor face that meets the inside of the rim. Im trying to figure out if i will need different offset rims when i switch from my current solid axle setup.
loved the videos thank you i am about to do the same install on a 36 -- you said you changed your mind on the spindles and installed the 2" lowered spindles.... the bolt on upper spring mount says it has 3-4 inch drop -- is that accurate , where did you end up setting that -- i am thinking about purchasing stock spindles and using that as the adjust to lower-- thoughts?
hello Silvo. I have a question regarding the installation of the front indepentent, bolt in on a 1949 truck. If you can, please respond here in comments so I can ask the question. Thanks. Ralph
Hi Silvo my question regards the height of the front frame horns at the start of the project? Also, if you want to have the frame level where do you place a bubble level to show that the frame is level. Thanks. Ralph
Thank you for the vids man....I am in upper Ga getting ready to a similar project....can you tell me the inside measurement on the bloton crossmember outside plate....need to know the width it is thanks for any info
I would bro, but just had surgery and won’t be able to get under the truck for a couple weeks. Speedway is really good about answering questions. You may want to give them a ring. Good luck friend!
I have the same MII Stabilizer Sway Bar Kit and tubular lower control arms. I'm not seeing how to get the long bolts and bushings installed through the lower control arm welded holes on the end link mounting tabs? What am I missing?
Hello, working on the same set up on a 47 truck, are you satisfied with the 500 pound springs? Speedway is recommended the 600pound springs for mine? Thanks really enjoyed your videos
Did you have video of the power rack install I put the same ifs under my 48 Chevy 3100 but I am having a problem the passenger side I used the 2” Extender But did not use the extender for driver side Because it’s to long what to do
Hello I have a 1954 Chrysler imperial 4 door sedan that I'm wanting to put a New front end on the original chassis can you help me out with this install what company or manufacturer should I go through for this application
I’m doing this to my 52 pick up but my cross member is not lining up with the inner box plates . The screw holes are off I’m thinking my chassis could be tweaked due to old age . What’s your thought ? Thx
Hard to tell. I’m pretty sure the 52 has the same frame, but there may have been differences. Possibly give Speedway Motors a call. They may can help. Sorry for the delayed response
Looks great! I am doing the same on my 1950 Chevy 3600. Any idea about how much you lowered the truck from the original stock suspension? I ordered the stock spindles as well, but have not installed them yet. Considering trading them for drop spindles also.
Brother i could have saved you a headache by just grinding to sleeve on you shock first, you said you weren't gonna use that one so just grind it down before and it'll easily slide out

Great job on the install! Going to purchase a similiar kit for my F100.
Thank you again! Big help as I’m also doing the same kit(s) on my ‘51. Great job!
Glad I could help. Rack and Pinion video coming up soon.

I have a 53 3600 also wanted to keep it as original as possible. Hate the way it rides after putting new leaf springs.
Will done my friend 👍
Thanks!
did you have to make a bracket in the control arm for the sway bar? i dont see any way to connect the sway bar
Looks good! I did notice that the rubber boots don't look like they fit the ball joints very well?
They just sit on there as dust covers...not a "perfect" fit

Go with the stock spindles. I initially went with the 2” drop but ended up with stock height spindles. Helped level out the truck at 6” from pavement.
Can you please help me I was going through your video s and found this one where did you get your sway bar for the front 😊

Not quite sure. I didn’t have really any issues.
Wow I really didn't want to remove the engine. Second question is the radiator cross member is it for your 327. Or for all radiator.
All radiators that fit this style of truck.
Do you like it>? how does it drive>?
Hey Rick. I love it and drives like a dream. I’ve got over 500 miles on it with no issues.
Hello, working on the same set up on a 47 truck, are you satisfied with the 500 pound springs? Speedway is recommended the 600pound springs for mine? Thanks really enjoyed your videos
I’m satisfied but would go with 600 if to do it again.
How does motor mounts and sway bar links get mounted ?
They bolt on.
The parts that you said were duplicte, could you cutout the gusset and weld it in vertically on same bolt at back of crossmember?
Possibly
Did you have video of the power rack install
I put the same ifs under my 48 Chevy 3100 but I am having a problem
the passenger side I used the 2” Extender
But did not use the extender for driver side
Because it’s to long what to do
Hmm. Interesting. Watch my underneath walkaround. I include the rack installed in it.
I don’t know
I didn’t use a extender and it’s 2” to long on the driver side
If I can send a picture of it I would but I don’t know how
@@chadbost6369 yeah. Call Speedway Motors. They have great customer service that will help you. Sorry I can’t help.
No problem thanks and your Videos are a lot of help
Great video and great job on the truck how much did this kit cost?
Check out Speedway Motors.

Not really sure from stock height but I’m running at 5-6” from pavement.
Did you have clearance issues from your rack and pinion and your motor mount ?
No I didn’t. Check out my walkaround videos to see how I routed my steering linkage. It’s tight, but works with no rubbing or binding. Take care!

Will a bolt on kit work for a 64 comet
No idea. Give Speedway Motors a call
Why can't you use air bags with the kit
Not sure. You may be able to
What headers did you use
They are “Shorties”. I bought them from a guy at a show. Can’t recall the brand.
How long did it take to install all these parts?
Took me a couple weeks but if you focus and have no distractions you could do it in a weekend.
Are you going to sell it? How much?
