People in the comments always ask how long my projects take. This one was about 100 hours compressed into a single week. The things I do for you people!

Amazing! Just some (hopefully helpful) feedback: making the camera move more will let the chase scene appear much more dynamic, also more closeups.

Yeah, I would have used twice as many cuts in the animation if I had time.

also the with the Easy HDRI plugin you can easily replace the background to a solid or blurred and maybe that would fix the reflection problem

WOW! That animation is so cool!! The drifts were a bit iffy sometimes (some were too fast or too slow to rotate the car) but the whole animation was very good! I really liked the tunnel sequence with the music sync to end the chase.

    • @comdrive3865
      @comdrive3865 Рік тому

Yeah I would say some of the animation can still be tweked further, for example the car wouldn't stay that low to the ground for that long, right after initiating the drift the ride height jumps up more

This is wild! Way to make an engaging action sequence.
I didn’t notice the gun jutting out at all. The details on the control room shot (getting so the angles) really sells it. I’m leaving a note for myself here to not underestimate the power of empties and constraints.

    • @DECODEDVFX

These videos are so fun and interesting. Slightly punchier sound effects could have added to the excitement; that that is a nitpick. The short focal length gives a cool, miniature look to the scenes; like Captain Scarlet. Thanks for sharing this. Your line delivery in your videos is a so soothing and relaxing.

I think you can use the Is transmission output of the light path node for a second Mix node between the background textures or maybe Add the Is camera and Is transmission values together directly... Not quite sure though, I would need to double check this later on. Or you can try to disable transmission in the ray visibility settings of the World.

    amazing outstanding and brilliant
but just some tips I think will help elevate the sequences a lot
    more motion blur
    more chaotic camera shake
and also let the camera drag behind the car as if the car is moving past the camera faster
this gives the action a sense of urgency and speed, so that even the camera can't catch the car in the frame
and as people pointed out, more close ups
    awesome work +1

0:26 It looks off, I would add a what are the shooters aiming at scene. The gun panel would need some thickness. 0:49 It's a drop off, it should get a bit of air and some bounce as it turns and should add some revving of the engine as he's on the clutch and brakes. 0:54 too much fish tailing. To make the shot more interesting when backing up in the tunnel launch the missile but don't stop cut to the exterior of the tunnel and the whole explosion blasting out with the reversing car just escaping the massive blast.

awsome work. you don't have to at all. But using the Mitch model from XNALara DeviantArt as the longest survivor of his group, could you possibly create a horror survival movie where all the charactors are hunted and killed off one by one with Mitch as the last one to die using the models from TWD final season along with all the other DeviantArt TWD final season models like Willy Aasim James Marlon Tennessee Louis Omar AJ Minerva Clementine Violet Brody Ruby? And if that's too much work instead could possibly create a walking through a map adventure of Mitch and Minerva? Killing zombies too?

    • @DECODEDVFX

The cars have really clean topology. So I just selected the door faces and separated them into a new object, then I moved the origin to the edge where the hinge would be so the door can rotate open.
