annotations were EXTREMELY helpful. haven't played mtg in about 5 years, so when you were breaking down the plays and card abilities it was extremely helpful for someone who understands the game but doesn't recognize anything but Lord of Atlantis lol.
Me too. I have a lot of cards, so when me and my friend play we just use random cards turned face down. But when I played in a 6 person game, the guy next to me had all kinds of tokens. Makes me wonder if you can get them in special booster packs.
annotations are great for everyone, even if they know all the cards. They just add so much more to low-def video. And if for some weird reason someone doesn't want annotations, they can just hit the button and turn it off.
wow i used to play mtg until '01 '02. i guess there are some crazy type 1 decks now with all that amount of new cards. i loved my counter oath deck. are there any decks who still use oath of druids?
Yeah I plan to do all the videos but it will take awhile to do. It took me a day to do this one just cause i didn't know what I was doing but now I should be fine.
If you combine red and black you can get some sick combos such as: Curse and control. This is a option which provide you the full control of the battlefield. The instant spell card Scar is putting a -1/-1 counter on 1 creature, until destroyed. You can combine that with a card called Kulrath Knight. It´s a 3/3 flying with wither and the love ability: All creatures with counters on them, can´t attack OR block. So, if your oppenent either boost with + counters, or you curse, you will own ;)
Annotations are really great. I started playing magic when I was about 12 (18 now), and stopped after a few years when I moved here to the US (dumb move i know, because the magic scene is bigger here). But yeah, I totally have no idea about most of the newer cards, but the annotations help a bit.
Elves!!! My favorite decks right now are elf or red/black! goblins. I am actually winning consistently with creature decks. I am glad that they made creatures feasable to use again. (but not ridiculous...slivers*cough*) MTG was going in the wrong direction. I have been playing since '95, mostly online since it became available, and there have been some dark periods. It seems like they are targeting the real players again, not little kids. The Masters Edition online releases are great.
or you can go gemstone caverns, discard a simian spirit guide, play flash into protean hulk, sacrificing the hulk and search for four disciples of the vault and a whole bunch of artifacts with converted mana cost X and come into play with X counters. artifacts die, and disciples cause your opponent to lose 20+ life. you win before they even draw
I liked the older sets much more. The combos were less obvious and required more ingenuity. Now it seems like they have them all planned out for you before the set is even released.
the easiest decks i think to start with are mono colored either of green or red green focusing more on creatures red focusing instant damage i started with a two colored red and green deck
i still play with the old cards like 4 5 edition ice age tempest....i think the latest edition i use is 9th. they changed alot about the game with all the new cards but my black deck with all the old cards still destroys these new decks people come out with
how did ruess get to top 8? playing reejerey to get thoughtseized with a cryptic command in had? wtf? killing garruk instead of holding back to chump pro green duders? wow.
This guy is the biggest lucksack in the entire world. This was his ONLY bad matchup of the entire tournament. The only reason he made top 8 in the first place is because he got lucky pairings. Not sayin' merefolk isnt awesome.

wow i used to play mtg until '01 '02. i guess there are some crazy type 1 decks now with all that amount of new cards. i loved my counter oath deck. are there any decks who still use oath of druids?
well u can use anything as creature tokens but i dont know if they sell or have creature tokens
Yeah I plan to do all the videos but it will take awhile to do. It took me a day to do this one just cause i didn't know what I was doing but now I should be fine.
Yes u are 100% correct!
What type of deck do you guys play with?
I play my self a multicolour deck of black and red haste/warrior deck from 9th and 10th edition.
If you combine red and black you can get some sick combos such as: Curse and control.

annotations = awesome
so what, are they not playing with mana burn?
this may sound stupid but where can you get the creature tokens?

Everything is impressed in the Final
but youtube quality sucks so much
Thanks to tell us which card is what
I see what you mean, now they even put hint-cards into the boosters which actually show some combos.
the audio is good enough and the annotations KICK ASS
its really just for newer people that might not know what all the cards are.
thanks for this. these are pretty unwatchable without the annotations.
you rock
WAy to go Charlie!!! When you get back i want my Thoughtsieze,Chameleon colossus and Profane commands back
or you can go gemstone caverns, discard a simian spirit guide, play flash into protean hulk, sacrificing the hulk and search for four disciples of the vault and a whole bunch of artifacts with converted mana cost X and come into play with X counters. artifacts die, and disciples cause your opponent to lose 20+ life. you win before they even draw

NAYA!
Thats an easy combo to break. Any boardsweeper+counterspells, and your friend is finished.
the easiest decks i think to start with are mono colored either of green or red
green focusing more on creatures
red focusing instant damage
i started with a two colored red and green deck
lol i was sitting here wondering wtf are annotations but then at 2:03 i figured out XD yea annotations are helpful
I'd actually like to know too
the fact that your friends deck has saprolings in it already proves that its terrible (unless the saprolings are chameleon colossus)
every combination of colors can be very effective
i play 3 colors in 2 decks :]
i still play with the old cards like 4 5 edition ice age tempest....i think the latest edition i use is 9th.
they changed alot about the game with all the new cards but my black deck with all the old cards still destroys these new decks people come out with
I beat Gindy in the swiss of the tourney that he Q'd in for Hollywood. That could have been me...cry.
show the damn table
looks like he means business too
true, but not in standard!
I have no idea about any magic cards.
how did ruess get to top 8?
playing reejerey to get thoughtseized with a cryptic command in had? wtf? killing garruk instead of holding back to chump pro green duders? wow.

There should an audience around them instead
