    I enjoyed your review. I will completely disagree on fuel economy. I view it as a high on this bike. I own a 2022 EC250. It seems you're doing high speed racing often. In the three hour Midwestern hare scrambles and enduros I race, I often find myself finishing with a third of a tank left. I figure in non-WFO environments, the range could be over 80 miles.

      Thank you!! You are right, I have friends trail riding that get 70 miles a tank pretty commonly. My aggressive open area style generally kills the economy.

    I actually prefer the silver wheels. My black wheels get destroyed in the rocks and tire irons don't help either. The black definitely looks nicer on the showroom or if you just ride MX. I had an XC and now have an XC-W. I definitely like the XC gearbox better. I found the Xplor forks way too mushy in stock form, but agree the AER can be harsh in the rocks. Be nice if they had a closed cartridge spring fork again.

    Where did you get your decal graphics?

    Great video! I've got 61 hrs on a 2022 TPI with absolutely zero issues, so I agree these can be very reliable.

    I have the same bike. I'm putting a black set of wheels on it. I do like the looks, but not sure who the manufacturer of the silver rim is. Not sure they are down on qualitly from the black rims offered on KTM or Husky, but certain from a looks stand point. I think GG offers something over husky. That is a metal sub frame (don't want the plastic stuff) with a linkage (you can get it in a wide ratio trans) unlike KTM. If you want the KTM and wide ratio you get a PDS. I think the linkage squats a bit and fits me better (shorter legs). Took me a bit to dial in the air spring and then get the clickers set and I like it a lot so far. Get your pressure right. If it sits to low in the store your valving for small bumps is using the high speed circuit. IE harsh feeling. That said I might end up with the spring conversion and a worked over shock and fork. Coming from a 13 300xc with the twin chamber spring forks. Don't have any issues with my brake line. Run a mako360 with a sub mount damper (lifts the bars up 21mm). Don't notice any issues, but no headlight. Will be changing up the plastics and graphics. Had issues with the kickstand already. The fix is to drill it all the way and use nut on there with red loctite. Ditching the tool bag was a cost issues. The increase is supply issues and import exchange and tariffs. All that said I love mine! Had it since Oct.

      Right on Danny! They are awesome bikes. The silver wheels are excel, there is a stamp on the rim. I agree GasGas has their unique package and that’s why I ended up with one. A great bike! The aer forks are super adjustable, I have settings for trail riding, racing, and hard technical. As much as I love the ability to adjust them so much, I just don’t think they compete with most of the spring forks on the market. This is my third set of aer forks so I’ve spent a ton of time experimenting with them. I understand cost issues but they raise their msrp every single year, bikes over 10k should come with all the bells and whistles in my eyes! Enjoy your GG, fantastic bike and great thoughts, thanks for sharing.

    I got a 22 recently and just did my 2nd ride. If you want to really change the look of the rims for next to no $, grab a roll of red pinstripe rim tape. No it won't last long if you are in loose rocks but it's cheap and easy to replace and makes a nice change to the looks.
    Good review. Thanks

      Thanks for watching! I don’t mind the silver. The bike is just to good there isn’t much to hate so I was being picky. Enjoy your new bike.

    My tpi system started leaking oil at 10 hours.

    What are you using for a spark arrestor?

    Fuel milage is way better than a carb 2T. You're drunk on that one. Agree on the rest.

    • @XploreEnduro
      @XploreEnduro  8 місяців тому

      I guess it depends on your carb and jetting. I averaged around 50 miles at fast desert pace with a stock carb. Tpi is lucky to get 40. Even better, throw a lectron carb on and you can get 100 miles on a stock tank 👍🏼

      It’s hard to beat the value of the Acerbis skid plate with the linkage guard! I used multiple on my TPI bikes and preferred it, would recommend

    Do you still have the bike? How does it compare to the new TBI's?

    • @XploreEnduro
      @XploreEnduro  Рік тому

      I don’t. They are good bikes but I’d pick a TBI 100% of the time over TPI or carbed!

    • @GNR325
      @GNR325 Рік тому

      That's what I have heard but have also heard of guys with running problems that they can't seem to fix. Might go TPI until the early TBI issues are sorted. @@XploreEnduro

      @@GNR325 hmm. Interesting. The TPIs have way more random issues and problems even after 6 years of existing. I’d recommend you go TBI for sure! 👍🏼 I’ve had 2 and both have ran amazing, got 40 hours now on my current TX without a hiccup.
