Sir and every one watching how do we deal with the earth busbar. If lines from pole or power supply/Eskom? Its only live and neutral wires. How to we solve the the earth since its is no provided as in your demonstration.
Hi, First thank you, I've picked up a lot of DIY skills from watching your channel. I have a question, Can you do a video of the basic tools (cutters, crimpers, multimeters, drills etc) one must have in a basic toolbox or can you gives tips on what to avoid and what to look for? Thank you
Hi I have a question, what is the difference between a earth leakage and a circuit breaker? And thank you very much for this informative video's we don't only learn but we are saving money on getting electrician.
thanks. Earth leakage is a circuit breaker but its method is by measuring the difference between the live and neutral and when there is a difference it operates to break the circuit. Some have overload built in as well like the one in the video and that acts as both earth leakage and over current.
Thank you, Does the Stove and Geyser have to be a on an earth leakage according to South African code? and if I have a Split circuit for an invertor Back-up, can I have 2 earth leakages? to protect the geyser/Stove circuit and plugs/lights circuit, if yes how do I wire that?
All circuits must be under Earth leakage protection according to the SANS standard. Only a Wiremans holder will know that, when you are an ordinary electrician without a Wiremans Licence you will not know such. We always find when I tell them about the SANS standard
Please continue with these awesome type of videos. Could you do a video that has a chageover switch in the dB that connects to a generator.

With Eskom, earth and neutral are combined through the system.
Eskom is using TNCS while others use TNS supply systems. Only a person with a Wiremans Licence will know those system
You are a legend man thank you
Thanks Arnold!
Good stuff. Very thorough.
Can u do an mx2 or mx3 kit video?

I think you ve answerd me for LV6548 MPPTSolar if i would build panel for it, off grid your main breaker supplied from L1 , N outputs of inveter .

According to the SANS standard, everything must be under Earth leakage protection
Hi. I have a question. How do I connect a contactor to this Db board to run a hardwater 4kw heater element for jacuzzi
You connect a timer not a contactor. Simply call a qualified Electrician
Hi Sir
What size of wire did you use to connect DB?
16 mm
In another video you mentioned that EL is required for all circuits, yet this video states that it is not necessary for high current loads and lights?
In SA, you can put lights before EL as long as they not in reach
Its best practice to protect all with EL
@@ecologicaltime Thank you for the feedback. Your video makes it look simple, so keep up the good work.

@@ecologicaltime, I tend to differ with your answer as everything must be earth leakage protected SANS standard
