My dad taught me how to wire a house when I was 12. Used to hate doing such things and always wondered why he didn’t just pay someone to do it. Now that I am grown I treasure those valuable skills passed down to me 😁 nice refresher video 🤙

Hi. Thank you very much for taking the time and making these fantastic videos for your fellow south africans. Please could you show us the to wire three separate lights with their respective swithes from one DB or power source. There is no video anywhere showing how its done here in SA. Also I see that its done using a white color insulated wire please could you show us from BD to switchs to lights. Thanks again for all your great videos.

Thanks for the clarity of your video. I have a question!
I have a single Bakelite two fuse and switch old installation controlling all plugs, lights and appliances.
I already bought a 63A RCBO breaker and other three breakers for the correspondent circuits, and I need to install an earth rod.
Since I am going to replace this old, unreliable switchboard, can I temporarily wire live and neutral through the 63A RCBO breaker feeding the existing mentioned circuit, until I have proper earthing and run the rest of the wiring?
