just so you know, they do not do correction of LASIK from the eye-check, they just check how good you see before the LASIK so they have a baseline! they have different way of measure that they do to calculate for how much they remove of the cornea. No need to be scared of the check-up before the LASIK. If things go wrong you are just unlucky, not because you messed up the baseline check up! Kind regards Optometrist.

Hearing Safiya say "you know what I'm saying?" and "you know what I mean?" so many times made me realize that we (her subscribers) seldom hear her just talk normally, off-script of her video narrations. Haha. Also, I'm a little surprised at how talkative/chatty Tyler is. haha.
Tyler needs a podcast or something. He likes to talk and he is really insightful on a lot of different topics. Maybe something they’ll consider for their second channel? 🙂

There's a small thing that made me appreciate Phil even more, and it's when Tyler answered why he was nervous Phil went "Okay. And I'm not gonna dismiss the feelings" and then said how he gets nervous. It hit me, because normally the reaction would be "oh no, don't be nervous, there's nothing to be nervous about" and it sometimes feels dismissive, like they take away your right to feel whatever you feel. So yeah, I love Phil even more now. Thank you for that.

I watch a lot of their videos but I was very surprised to hear Tyler's a talker, so when Safyia said the audience gets a very small taste of what it is, I believe her lol, I thought Tyler was more reserved.

I think it was easy to see more of his talkative side in his older UA-cam videos and also on the old app that he created, Nextbeat, he did chat a lot there!
@@aelxia I actually miss Nextbeat so much, I was super active in the beginning but in the last year or so I was really busy and didn't stress about watching the rooms right away cause I thought "hey, they'll always be there, you can just watch them later", then BOOM nextbeat is done for and now i'll never get to watch those rooms. And I looooved the dynamic they had on that app, it felt a lot more personal and intimate than their usual videos (although I love those too) which makes sense because of the much smaller audience

I was impressed with how intelligent he is, because he is usually so goofy on their channel. Makes sense though, power couple goals.
For introverts, planned social interaction is far superior to unplanned social interaction. So podcasts are kind of a nice haven for introverts to create content.

Speaking to alternative creative careers, I started out playing music but honestly never loved performing. Now I repair instruments and it’s my favorite thing to do ever and I love a good challenge in my current job!! Never stop searching for a career that you love that is fulfilling- everything has pros and cons but some things you know are worth the cons!

While a Safty podcast would be definitely entertaining, I prefer to have months and years of regular videos from healthy and rested couple than video+podcast of frantic people trying to meet ends untill they just got burned and exhausted.
in this podcast they seemed very nervous to talk live, I dont know how they'd feel about doing it regularly

I'm going to disagree. The East Asia videos were not challenging as a viewer. They were perfect. They talked about how the transition to the wedding videos were such a change, but no. They forgot the first wedding. It bridged.
I think the challenging part for them was the long absence, jetlag and how busy it made them

It's so gratifying to finally hear someone else express the same feeling towards horror that I do. All of my friends love horror, and it, like Saf said, will stick with me forever. I love these two.
My wife always likes the Netflix actors that look like me. Also they are usually danish (i'm 25+% danish). it's uncanny how many times she says, "oh he's cute" and i jokingly say, "he must be danish" and IMBD goes "yup, danish"

I love this podcast episode, it was so fun to watch... I love Saf and Tyler they are amazing, I would love to see them as guests on simplypodlogical
I love and appreciate all the thought, effort, and production that goes into Safiya's videos, but I really miss the more casual vlogs that Tyler used to make. Their relationship and personalities are so endearing and fun, I just love watching them do stuff, even if it's not something super exciting.

I'm happy of their "settle down" plan and the two-channel structure: the "production-intensive" video as per Safiya's standards on the main channel, and the "at ease, one-day, wonder" on the second channel, Tyler's.
Less sporadic, more regular balance: so steady mix of "Internet made buy it" on Saf's, next a "tried the insta-food of the week" on Ty's, then a "Questionable fashion for a week" on Saf's, then a "behind the scene v-log" of part of that (I think the tutu-shirt at Coachella/Morongo - or going for the VooDoo donuts as side of the "4-foot jacket" at park), then a big boom in Saf's, then "the sushi bazooka meet the blowtorch", etcetera etcetera.
I just hope that duality plan works: I love how Safty are so fantastic both in the "big" and the "easy" vibe.
Tyler over here taking about his contact prescriptions and how having -4/-5 isn't that bad because some people have -7 and I'm sitting here with my -11 prescription in both eyes.

The couple you had on here honestly had no idea who they are but will be watching their stuff shortly, it's really rare for people I don't know anything about to mesmerize and completely captivate me! Tyler and his wife have this aura about them and I think they just might be destined for something even greater in the future! Thanks Phil for doing what you do!

I have a gene defect that also affects my eyes and I got -12 dioptre and astigmatism in both eyes. It always feels weird telling people (officials, barbers, swim instructors) that I am legally blind without glasses. *But* it's always good fun at parties to let others put on my glasses. 👍🤣

As a Theatre major in college the last couple minutes of this interview was a big eye opener. Like I have heard this a lot from teachers but hearing Saf and Tyler talk about it everything kind of clicked. I've always liked acting but then I took a stage craft class (part of the major requirements lol) and now I'm like "I could totally work behind scenes" and I would still love it and still be part of the entertainment industry so thank you Safiya and Tyler for saying that.
