I first came across this song back years ago when I used to be really into dance covers. My surprised to see you guys reacting to it. 🥰 But I love how music and dance can be interpreted in so many ways. But the story I got was The female Lead was SA. She tried to run from that past and memories but it was still there and all over her like she was now tainted from that experience in her life. She often try to fight back, and tear down those memories because she doesn’t want that part of herself. But she has to learn to live with her scars she Obtained from her past. The dancers are Phillip Chbeeb and Emma Mathers they have come a long way since this video and have really have grown into their craft. You should check out some of their other dance videos
Thanks for giving it a listen and watch. I found this years ago when I first moved to Texas and it used to make me cry. Probably had been about 2 years since I saw the video but I never forgot it. I cried my eyes out the first time. I thought I was never going to be okay because I was with an abusive man and he had a “new” gf right after I moved and I was alone and felt dumb for never calling the cops. It’s like that song was the first song from the soundtrack to me healing over the years.

On a live recently, someone spoke about not understanding how racism can be systemic. Then athletics was brought up. I would love if you'll treat the brian Flores lawsuit. It's a good example in how management roles have been withheld. Other really accessible examples can be, the case about the home appraisal of a black family. There are a few cases at the top of Google. I didn't want to clog the live with examples but figured I could leave a couple here.
