The online multiplayer was what made this game so much more fun than it already was. I'm glad to see Nintendo acknowledging the mode.
It was fun but i preferred 3d world or New Super mario bros multiplayer because you can pick each other up and throw them

The multiplayer in this game is really fun, and works really well. The developers really went all out making this the best 2D Mario game they could.

The game is boring and complete garbage. I dont understand how people could like it. I guess they are all sheep and just follow what everyone else says. I already finished it, and want to sell it, its the first Mario game i want to sell. I have all the other marios, but this one its terrible and boring.

Anyone here finished the main story but still return to replay worlds just for the fun of it? I finally came around to finishing Mario Wonder this morning but I still love to replay stages because this is such a comfort game to me. It’s so charming and a nice feeling platformer I can relax and play to

Yknow what would be cool, a Wario Land dlc story. That also included a wario playable character for the base game. You can do his shoulder dash attack and throw enemies
Mario Wonder's multiplayer mode is genuinely one of the best i've ever played from a Mario game.
I love the multiplayer in Wonder! It’s actually quite good with the ability to help each other out when you die and play along together. I miss player collision and picking up your friends then throwing them to grab things like star coins, but I still enjoy the game nonetheless!
First game that Ive seen that rewards good behavior online.

We need some DLC for this one. I'd love to have some more challenging main levels either due to new enemies, hazards or specific tasks. Also Rosalina and Wario /Waluigi.
I just hope Elephant Wario would have tusks!

I've been playing Mario games since the old arcade days and Wonder was one of the best of them. And the online mode definitely made the game more enjoyable.

Does anyone miss having the ability to jump on people's heads or throw them? It's one thing I loved doing when playing games like new super Mario Bros wii
It was a great multiplayer feature that I don’t expect coming back, unfortunately.
Not too much. Some old stages in Wii/U were way too tight to be having 4 people clashing in, I'd accidentally KO'd friends by having them bounce off my head into a pit. Wonder feels better to me because we're not colliding, and the level design isn't impaired by needing to support four people on the screen at once. If we run local play with four consoles, we also get to pick our own badges and not be tethered to the same room.
Definitely, it made collecting star coins and grinding lives so much easier, but Wonder is pretty easy compared to other so I see why they didn't do it here

When new console trailer come out
It would be a good game if the camera angle wasn't fixed on the lead player. The game is no longer fun if one player always has to chase the other, especially if you're not playing with very experienced players.
I mean, that's just the nature of local multiplayer--the only alternative is splitscreen, which makes no logical or logistical sense for a platformer. In fact, having the ability to change the "lead" player is a huge improvement from the New Supe formula
@@itsmeike well it's not really the nature of a platformer because in New Super Mario Bros Deluxe or Rayman Legends the camera simply expands when two players move away.
@@itsmeike Super Mario Bros Wonder follows the og sonic principle where the second player simply has to follow the first and is unlucky if the first player is too fast

I got excited thinking this was a update to multiplayer allowing essentially online new soup mario co-op... disappointed.
My onlt dislike is that even id you make a private session with friends... you cant pick up or jump on each other or anything like that....
Now you just have to wait for an emulator to play for a week and then they just take it down, how cool is Nintendo!
