@@peachabutt Why? There are plenty of games that let the user modify the world in 3d space, so why not mario maker eventually? Minecraft, trove, fornite, ark: SE, fallout 4, satisfactory (factorio but 3d), etc.

I am so thankful for Nintendo making our memories with these games over the years for 5 decades. Games had advanced from the company from Contra, Donkey Kong, obviously Super Mario Bros, and etc. What also surprises me is that SMM2 was 4 years ago. Good times.
I can’t believe this direct was over a year ago. Now Mario Maker 2 is by far my most played Switch game
Oh, within a month of getting this game I had sunk over 80 hours into it and it became my most played game, and this week I just hit 260. Even Breath of the Wild is still at 140 hours. I'm obsessed with this game, I lose all track of time when I'm designing a course, there's always one more thing I want to add or adjust.

I remember when redbox used to give out games for renting. They had Super Mario Maker 2 in store and I took it for myself, and boy how I miss playing it. I remember finishing the castle in story mode and decided to start making levels of my own. I made my first and last real course in 3D World, but then I had to return it. I hope later on I'm able to buy Mario Maker again, It was a blast playing it.
