Thanks for the call out of the Bullet Fence Systems -Adjustable gate hinge. Had a customer tell me that is how they found out how to get the hinge sets. Great Video.
You encouraged me to give this a try myself. I bought the adjust a gates months ago and have been waiting on my gardener to install it. He placed the posts already so that part is done. Thank you!!
I bought the bullet fence set so thank you.. I just noticed that you put the bottom bolt on upside down.. you’re supposed to have one L upwards and 1 L downwards to lock the gate into the hinges.. right now you can just lift that gate off the hinges completely.
I’ve been looking for a way to hang a steel frame gate on a round post for a while now it’s been very exhausting and nothings worked u casually mention the the bullet fence hinges lol. They’re exactly what I was looking for. Just ordered a set. Very helpful!
What's the correcto size for the Clamp on adjustable gate hinge pair. I have in ther webpage 2 3/8, 2 7/8, 3 1/2, 4 and 4 1/2. I don't know which one to buy, your help is really appreciated.
tip for the tight openings you had to hammer the 2 x 4s into. You can use a "crescent wrench" (Adjustible wrench) and open it just enough to fit on the metal and just bend it. Super simple and you can use this trick on a number of things. I've used it on things like inline hockey frames that have gotten hit by a puck and bent, to Aluminum plates on a $300k printer that hold circuit boards bent in shipping. ITs a low tech, low energy solution.
Just bought one and came here for help installing it., I do not see any holes for the hooks (at the end of the diagonal cable) to go into. Did you drill holes?

Oh, you're welcome. I really like this product a lot. I had to use the bullet fence system gate hinge set again for another gate I put up. Thanks.

That's great! If you feel overwhelmed, you can still have your gardener help you out. That's nice.
Thanks so much for your post. The bullet set is just what I was looking for!
which size did you get for the bullet set?
Thanks for the video. I was wondering about using the adjust a gate with my existing galvanized posts, glad I found your video.
I wish the kits still included the J bolts.
I used metal posts so I had to go in a different direction to connect the gate, but there was connectors for wood posts in the box.
They do still include the J-bolts. I bought and installed mine tonight.
@@jasondowd7077 you lucked up. The kit I have comes with the bracket and several screws.
That was a very long informative idea. Just what I was looking for. Thank you.

Great review! Thank you! We bought 3 of these and were wondering about things you answered.
Fantastic! Good luck on your project!
Great video especially for female homeowners. Thank you!

I used the same size as my metal posts.

Thank you ...I have metal post and was trying to figure this out.
follow up question .... how is your gate holding up after two years? Any maintenance needed? did it bend warp etc?
The j bolts from bullet fence fit into the provided "adjust a gate" hinges no problem?
Yes, I had no problem
Good review. Thank you. I woulda put those panel-to-2x4-screws in from the outside. Stay safe.
Thanks for the tip

Oh, that means most likely the sides are backwards because they are pre-drilled for you.
Thank you for the video
Good idea to use galvanized posts instead of wood posts!
Yes, thanks, I have seen how fast wood posts can rot. My neighbor is having that problem right now. I didn't want to deal with it too. Take care!
Perfect
The way you have the hinges, someone could just lift it up and take it off.
