AmandaRachLee Did you switch journals for some reason? In February's PWM the cover had lace, but now there's huge golden numbers. Just curious :D Or did it just fill up
Kenyce *highkey because I’ve used it for projects in school and to cover up my mistakes when doing art n a whole lot I actually also do the opposite of blacking out too, with my gel pen and white out an entire smaller section
My tips and tricks: If you're using an erasable pen, I suggest getting the finer tip pens because they generally have better erasers. Also, regularly clean the eraser by rubbing it across a blank piece of paper as if you are rubbing out some ink otherwise it will leave residue when you do erase something. If you want to do some elaborate thing but are scared to mess up and don't want to waste pages or the ink might go through the page, do it on a seperate piece of paper and then glue that into your bullet journal. Never do watercolour straight into your bullet journal. Do the same as the above tip but use watercolour paper otherwise the water will make the page crinkled and could bleed the ink of other pages. (Sorry this was long, I just wanted to share my tips with everyone)
also on the norm size (the size i hav) (large, apparently) likes to RAILROAD ALL THE TIME!!!(the ink that is) and that is one of my worst pet peeves ever!!! icantstandit.Ugh!

Miss Kelly Renee I agree but what I love about Amanda’s spreads are that they don’t look too hard, they look simple but really pretty and not overwhelming to me, especially since I’m just starting out.
your bullet journal is what u make it!, I use a HUGE 17"x14" sketchbook i got 4 christmas 4 some spreads others n my small sketchbook! + im a student +suprbusy so most of the time mine aint even finished...
Here is the thing. I couldn't wait and started my April spread early. Got too excited and butchered two spreads. I was heart broken so I went to see your march set up (for the millionth time) to make myself feel better and saw this life saving video. I use all three of your methods and now I can sleep in peace since everything is fixed. THANK YOU!
Be careful! Most erasable pens and markers/highlighters go away in heat. I once used them in a planner, then left it in a car on a hot day. When I came back, everything was gone!
Always love stickers or plain white labels. There are also these cute chalkboard label stickers I get at the $ store that are great to write on and look intentional.
I absolutely love, that your videos are 100% informative. In so many tutorials you need to skip like the first 5min to get to the actual content. Thank you for that and your awesome videos!
I just started to bullet Journal and I am just using a note book to practice before I do it for real, I came to your channel because you are so helpful and I am getting better and better at it every day
I've been on and off vullet journaling since like 2019, and am getting back into it, and these are such great tips! I've also just learned to embrace the imperfectness and chalk it up to the learning process. You can really see the growth 😅
I messed up on my "2018 at a glance" page ( I wrote the dates in the wrong spot I'm sure we've all been there) and I used the tip on covering it with scrapbooking paper and it looks so cute now! So glad you made this vid!
Ooh I knew about the heat part but I never knew it came back! Once I wrote out a long paragraph with an erasable pen and I laminated it and since the laminator machine uses heat it completely disappeared. This would have been nice to know
I am new to bullet journaling. I cut shapes out of the last page of my bullet journal to fit over the mistake and then glue it on. If I put a border around it, or use washi tape around the edges it is barely noticeable and looks like I chose to to it on purpose! So glad to see I’m not alone! Thanks for all of your tips I’ve used the black-out one more times than I’d like to admit!
What a beautiful example of the fact that "you dont make mistakes- they make you". Thank you very much for this- it makes me wanna do mistakes on purpose. Greetings from Austria, Janette
I have so many planners (im a planner junkie) but I also wanted to start a bujo and I decided to just write down trackers per month, goal pages, goal progress pages, video ideas and plans, expense tracker etc. I have been having so much fun and your videos inspired me so much! 💞💞
I've wanted to make a bullet journal for so long, so when I got a journal in the mail one day I looked up inspiration for it and found your videos. You make such cute pages and spreads! I'm not quite as creative with my decorations on the page, though. But I've been adding a bit more flare lately. I was thinking about making some bullet journal videos myself, just to dovument my progress.
I really need to try out some of those tricks, as I'm only starting with journaling, and there is TONS of things I'm not too happy about. However I find the beauty of bullet journaling also in the fact sometimes you can NOT CARE at all. I screwed up this weekly log? Whatever, I can try a different approach next week. My habit tracker looks like it has been drawn by a drunk person riding a bus on a rocky road? A pity, but I will just try to get the most satisfaction out of it doing my best to complete all my challenges. It's great to see how mistakes can be easily fixed, but I also love how bullet journal is always a work in progress with endless possibility of improvement. So I would add just one more advise for people stressing out about making mistakes: don't panic, there's always next day/week/month - and some white gel pens, of course ;) This being said, you're magical; I think the more mistakes you make, your journal is getting just prettier and prettier.
I’ve taped so many pages! 😂 I just started bullet journaling last month but I used to do regular planning in my hourly but decided to try bullet journaling. I didn’t think I was creative enough but you have given me such inspiration!
I literally watched all your bullet journal videos and they are seriously goals!!! I love how you draw I so want to be a perfectionist it bugs me so much just because of mistakes.. I love you so much, you inspire me soooo much. I am kinda begging for May to end so I can see your June Bullet Journal!!
Hi Amanda - you gave inspired me so much! this is the kind of art that I like to do and I didn’t even really think it was art and that I was the only one who liked to draw straight lines… Thank you! I’ve been through just about all of your videos and I’m starting my 2021 doodle journal. (I did do a very rough version of this in my 20’s at school where I’d make my own class schedules and work schedules and lists etc. Bit nearly as pretty tho. I just wanted to say: don’t free write “PEN IS” because it can turn out to look like something else ❤️
This is so helpful! I use pilot fixion ball slim pens all the time and they r amazing! They don’t even leave that residue that the other pilot ones do!
Thank you very much! I have a black Leuchterum 1917 that I received last September for my birthday and have her to start 1. for the fear of messing up and 2. because I wanted purple and my hubby ordered wrong. Any suggestions on decorating a bullet journal cover besides buying those expensively made handsewn ones on Etsy?? I notice you did add stickers to yours. Do they peel off? Anyone else out there with possible suggestions, and did you have to use Modge Lodge ECT. to help adhere stickers
I use acrylic paint, black or white. to paint a background and then draw overtop. Recently I've painted a page black and written an inspirational quote overtop of it. Looks 10X better than what I originally had planned! Also makes your journal look more like a scrapbook or sketchbook if that's the look you're going for ✨✨✨ In other areas I've even stuck a photo overtop!
Haha you posted this video a while ago but I’m going to comment anyway:These are such good techniques to fix mistakes. I’m just starting bullet journalling and just knowing about these ways to fix mistakes somehow makes me feel more confident. Also, another way to fix mistakes that I’ve seen others do is to put a cute sticker over the mistake.Anyway, this video was so helpful and enjoyable 😊😊
Serious question: Is the idea of a bullet journal a perfect reminder of a certain year, a piece of art-notebook? If I made a mistake I would just cross it out...
1.) Seriously your channel is growing so fast and you are gaining subs so fast and I'm so happy for you because you deserve it so much!! 2.) this video took my blah day and made it so much brighter
Omg thank you. Just gluing the pages together so I don't have to look at my hideous spread is totally what I'm going to do! I got over ambitious and it looks awful and I put my journal down for a minute cuz it bummed me out. I was like I JUST RUINED TWO PAGES.
If there's an text error - you can always go for cutting alphabets from newspaper and magazines and sticking them on top of the error it helps me a lot
Wow that intro. I love your handwriting/ lettering. I always have problem with "r". No matter how much I copy or what I do, it always comes out looking weird. Great video, definitely helpful because I make a lot of mistakes. I need that white gel pen now!
I started a bullet journal last month and man I messed up so much but its all good. Def gonna try some of these tricks for April! Thank you for sharing
I've lost some feeling in my dominant writing hand which has forced me to change my handwriting. I came across this and it's so inspiring 😍😍 Thank You ❤️❤️
Love these ideas, particularly the scribble cutout which I am going to use pronto...but omg, I kept getting sucked into that gorgeous Chantilly lace on your shirt! 😂
I LOVE you and your videos soooo much! You inspired me to create my own bullet journal and I absolutely love it! Thanks to you I have a new passion and outlet!
Thank you so much for doing this video gives me some great ideas for fixing mistakes. I have those erasable pens and they are amazing! Totally changed the game for me now I don't feel the need to go in with pencil first so it saves so much time. Would definitely recommend for people just starting out! :)
thank you so much!!!! I already have the white gel pen, but I didn't know I could use it to fix mistakes. it really works! good job, love the channel and your bujo videos ❤
one method i’ve used a lot is cutting the paper and making it a little flap and then adding doodles that match the theme of the spread, this is basically the only one i use- i also glue my sheets together not because of mistakes (sometimes i do because of mistakes but most of the time not) but my bullet journal paper is quite thin (look out for this, because if the paper in the bullet journal is thin don’t buy it! or else you’ll have to stick papers together all the times) and because it’s thin i have to glue the pages together because the writing goes through the page so if i write on the other page you can see the ink and then it turns out messy! When i glue the pages together it’s waisting paper but it’s worth it cos the paper gets thicker and i like that for some reason. srry for the long comment but these are my tips and things to watch out for when getting a new bullet journal or making mistakes :]
This is a terrific video, thanks so much for posting it! I need to try the blackout method; that looks really neat! I have actually pieced in a sheet of paper over one page, but I haven't screwed up two entire pages. Yet. LOL. Thanks again, and keep up the great videos! :)
For the big mistakes I usually put a colored page and make it something important like my favourite inspirational quote or goals page which is what I'm going to do to a "ghosted page" (sometimes this happens to me when I take to long to do something =D) Love the video and all of your layouts
In my bullet journal book, I can actually just tear out the pages, and I think I have the same book as you have. But I always write wrong date, so that tip helped me a lot!

Something else that I like using to cover mistakes are wallpaper samples. They're free & easy to get a hold of!
one method i’ve used a lot is cutting the paper and making it a little flap and then adding doodles that match the theme of the spread, this is basically the only one i use- i also glue my sheets together not because of mistakes (sometimes i do because of mistakes but most of the time not) but my bullet journal paper is quite thin (look out for this, because if the paper in the bullet journal is thin don’t buy it! or else you’ll have to stick papers together all the times) and because it’s thin i have to glue the pages together because the writing goes through the page so if i write on the other page you can see the ink and then it turns out messy! When i glue the pages together it’s waisting paper but it’s worth it cos the paper gets thicker and i like that for some reason.
srry for the long comment but these are my tips and things to watch out for when getting a new bullet journal or making mistakes :]
I've been loving your bullet journaling videos! It inspired me to finallyyy start my own 💕
that makes me so happy to hear! ❤️
This is a terrific video, thanks so much for posting it! I need to try the blackout method; that looks really neat! I have actually pieced in a sheet of paper over one page, but I haven't screwed up two entire pages. Yet. LOL. Thanks again, and keep up the great videos! :)
Omg! I looooove this video. 😍😍😍😍 You just reduced my anxiety about making mistakes 110%!
that's the goal!
Oh my gosh I never thought of taping them together thank you so much!

Is it just me or did everyone really need this video...
BECAUSE I LEGIT MESS UP EVERYTHING I DO!
Just started Bullet Journaling because of you 💖. Greetings from Mexico
For the big mistakes I usually put a colored page and make it something important like my favourite inspirational quote or goals page which is what I'm going to do to a "ghosted page" (sometimes this happens to me when I take to long to do something =D) Love the video and all of your layouts
+NickaPaulo good idea! ❤
In my bullet journal book, I can actually just tear out the pages, and I think I have the same book as you have. But I always write wrong date, so that tip helped me a lot!
Ripped out a page today because my title banner was horrible.... Next time i'll use your tips! Tnx for sharing!
This was very helpful. I just started my journal (two pages in) and I felt very discouraged when I made a mistake right out the gate. Thank you!
so glad it helped!
even your mistakes look aesthetically pleasing !
