Luis, nice video and consistent form too! I would have loved to have seen the difference in the flare rings on those three to understand a little more about the supposed changes to the carry down.
Louis, I started bowling late in life. I have 8 months bowling twice a week now. I really enjoy your vids. I have not seen anyone do a series on balls used in transition. When in league bowling, 8 people, the lanes really start breaking down when your in game two,4 th frame. The strong balls are to much. It would be nice to have three weak cover balls and you do a review on them! Thank you.
Great video Lou. Before even watching the video I can tell you with 100% certainty that layouts have a HUGE effect on urethane balls. I have multiple of the same urethane balls, Purple, Widow, Zen U, Fever etc.. and I have tried different layouts on them and the effects are HUGE. For Nationals, for sure take the strong one, it seems to be the most versatile. Maybe even have a second one with the same layout but a higher surface so it can be played once the fronts go and the first strong one with surface is dying out. Lou, many bowlers are not familiar with the Storm layout system, perhaps you could tell us what your layouts are in Dual Angle?
I'd say bring the strong & medium ones. I feel the roll may be better. If you was to double the urethane & use as a spare ball too then I'd say bring the weak one & bench the middle one but I'm guessing you're bringing a separate spare ball.
As I see those 3 different layouts for the Urethane. you may bring the weak one and the strong one. the Weak one allows you to be straighter to the pocket (If ever there will be a really hard pattern) then a strong one for a much versatile move on the lanes. Nice video right here, Luis!
This is what buying a bowling ball should be like. We can all think we know what bowling ball we should try and what layout we should get, but most of us "league" bowlers can't buy 3 balls to find 1. Here is to wishing there was a better way to buy a ball.
Luis. How are you? Great video are you officially back with storm? You were with 900 global for the longest time and you were with storm one time. Sorry I have a personal bias, but storm is the best of all of them. Great choice buddy. To answer your question all three balls and layouts looked great, but am my opinion if you have to pick one take the strongest one because it looks the most versatile but your second one you’re taking a second take the medium one, has a very pronounced unique shape the weak one is great, but not as good as the other two
I bought a ball spinner with the link. It’s a good spinner, only complaint is when it hits over the finger and thumb hole. Just have to remember not to spin in direction of holes.
Great video Bro...👊🏾 It was very helpful and informative. You nailed it with this type of video. The Strong and Weak 87's get my votes for your style of bowling. I would like for you to do this type of video with the Harsh Reality and Roto Grip Idol if possible.
I am not some one who can throw Urethane my ball roll is to wacky for lack of a better term. But if it were me in your shoes Luis i would be taking that strong one and the weak one. Personally from what i can tell they play off each other quite nicely and seem to give you the most versatile look. When you flat tenned with the weak one then aced the strong one right after I saw the strong one check and change direction and thought yeah that is definitely buried. that kind of versatility in urethane is impressive. I think you could honestly start in either one and then finish in the other its that close.
What's the dual angle layout for the medium ball? the shape on that is great, and could work on nearly every urethane option out there. As for which two to take, if you take only one, take the medium one, as it will give you the best of both the strong and weak, plus provides that shape. If you are taking two, I'd say the strong one for the earlier roll and face towards the pocket, and the medium one for the shape. You could always swing a little bit with the medium one to get the shape of the weak one with moving maybe a board or two left, but that would be it. But if you could mention what the dual angle layouts on these are, that would be great.
Open starts tomorrow, have you found out what the patterns will be? Last year as a lower skill bowler, it seemed like teams was a narrow window long pattern and if I missed right it would never come back to the pocket. Then on doubles/singles it was a short pattern where the ball hooked a lot. Any heads up you can give will be appreciated.
Ive always wondered, what do you guys(content creators in general) do with the extra balls youve drilled? Do you hang on to them in case you have a need for them? Do you fill them and donate them to say a youth league? Or maybe a pr giveaway? Just curious
I would honestly take the strong one and the medium one. I feel the weak one was too over under. I’d say the only place the weak one has is to play really up the lane and direct. The second you leaked it right it jumped but the second you got it in or chased it left a smidge it just blew through the spot. To me I feel the strong to medium one would just be the better 1,2 combo cause the medium is still just as strong as the strong one but just gives you that touch of extra length when you might need it
I would take the Strong one and the weak one. The medium one has a shape that is real close to strong but medium would not work as first one out of your bag. The weak one playing right and that would be first then strong one later. But it depends on what type of bowlers you are with.
Hey Luis. For sure, you need to bring the medium one. It is the most versatile. I am not sure what type of pattern is laid out for Nationals, so I can't recommend the strong or the weak one as the 2nd urethane in your bag. Strong maybe? I use middle strength layouts for all my pieces so I have the most control, using speed and hand adjustments as needed, then a ball change. Good luck at Nationals! ❤🎳 #TaylorSwiftFollowsLuisNapoles
I'd cut the mid. The strong is obviously better on the fresh where the weak should be expected to be 10 pin land early. But once things burn up, that weak could be a major player! GL GL!!!
Strong / weak. But I’m a noob. Is this the best new urethane on the market? I love being able to play closer right and want one . Fearing issues about people bitching I’m throwing urethane at league
The weak one looks how my ebi overseas magenta urethane hammer rolls when I did the jackpot classic at the Orleans hotel and casino last season and I cashed with it placed 4th for 450 dollars with it at 360 grit abralon and my Geico viz-a-ball sanded to 180 grit abralon did a faster and like 4 feet earlier then the magenta urethane hammer. But that is beside the point I like the weak layout because I like straighter angle and the medium layout for a little bit more oil .
Keep the strong and weak one in your bag. I believe those 2 will work really well off of each other and look a little more versatile.
For you and your ball roll Luis I would take the stronger and medium IQ Tour 78/U.
Luis, nice video and consistent form too! I would have loved to have seen the difference in the flare rings on those three to understand a little more about the supposed changes to the carry down.
I love seeing different layouts like this. It's so helpful.
Thanks!
Resin for show, thane for the dough!
"Don't move left with urethane!"
-Me proceeds to play 4th arrow with my urethane for league almost every night
In one of the houses I bowled at, I would throw my Pitch Black from the left arrow and throw it out to the 5 board, and would still come back high.
Except that Lou isn't bowling on a house shot.

Another amazing video bro! Always tons of information to take away from stuff like this 👍

Yeah I’m here for one

Strong one
I bought that ball just so I had a urethan in the bag don’t use it a whole lot but when I do its crazy good hits like a tank.

I wish I could afford to make videos like that for all of them LOL
I am not some one who can throw Urethane my ball roll is to wacky for lack of a better term. But if it were me in your shoes Luis i would be taking that strong one and the weak one. I have never really used urethane. Is it better for long or short patterns?

Good morning Luis Napoles w
Take both pin ups because your pin down will have a problem shaping early if you miss it right and the pin down and week pin up are close
Strong one and the weak one should be in your bag.
For league - would you recommend g1 and g2 with a urethane and g3 throw the NU hammer ?
I would say the strong and weak. The strong for more fresh oil, and the weak for when the lanes burn out more and you can play more inside with it.
I guess if I had to choose. I would cut out the middle one and keep a strong and a weak one..
Ive always wondered, what do you guys(content creators in general) do with the extra balls youve drilled? Do you hang on to them in case you have a need for them? Do you fill them and donate them to say a youth league? Or maybe a pr giveaway? Just curious

Can you bring all 3 and test all 3 on the pattern?
hi Luis your week ball acts the same way my pitch black it leaves lots of 10s does when I move left should I get A IQ 78? thank you
you could yea and drill it different!
I would take the Strong one and the weak one. The medium one has a shape that is real close to strong but medium would not work as first one out of your bag. The weak one playing right and that would be first then strong one later. But it depends on what type of bowlers you are with.
I would leave the weakest one , my thought is by the time you would go to something like that at nationals , it's time to grab a reactive and go left
Hey Luis. For sure, you need to bring the medium one. It is the most versatile. Keep the strong and medium.
How to make 3rd (weak) layout in 2ls system? If first 2 easy (not really) to understand, 3rd i cant get
I feel like the strong and the weak one would compliment each other the best at Nationals.
Why is the bridge gap different on the bowling balls 🤔
I'd cut the mid. The strong is obviously better on the fresh where the weak should be expected to be 10 pin land early. But once things burn up, that weak could be a major player! GL GL!!!
Cool video talk tech bowling ball Luis
40x4x10
If you take one, take the medium. If you take two, the strongest and weakest.
I hear some PBA tour homies use a zero VAL set up on their urethane.
Why is the pin different on all 3 balls
What is dual angle layout for the medium strength ball ?
30x4.5x30
Strong / weak. But I’m a noob. Is this the best new urethane on the market? I love being able to play closer right and want one . Fearing issues about people bitching I’m throwing urethane at league
The use of strong medium and weak has me thrown... seems to me the med is the strong and the strong is the medium... What am I misunderstanding?
Why not use on a house shot on regular league???
Take the medium one. Leave the other two home.
Leave the medium one so that you have two that are different enough.
I can see that yea!
When are you going to nationals? I think strong and weak for sure.
35x4.5x30 on all urethane for me lol
The weak one looks how my ebi overseas magenta urethane hammer rolls when I did the jackpot classic at the Orleans hotel and casino last season and I cashed with it placed 4th for 450 dollars with it at 360 grit abralon and my Geico viz-a-ball sanded to 180 grit abralon did a faster and like 4 feet earlier then the magenta urethane hammer.
