Area is everything. If you live in a one horse town, you aren't going to make good money. I went from making 200+ a day in a decent city in PA, to struggling to make $100 a day in a city in NC. It's worth driving the extra 30-45 minutes to find a good area with constant orders.
I do medical courier work. I found having a dedicated gas card (with a discount) for fuel and another credit card only used for repairs and maintenance, is the way to go.

Driving apps are illegal. An EV would be fantastic; short city drives don't matter, great "MPG" in city driving, and they're a lot cheaper to drive. Definitely a no-go job if you don't have an EV.
Yeah but the range on cheaper EVs is so low you would probably half the amount of deliveries you can make..I make around 12 to 20 a day and that's around 100 to 112 miles each day. Not to mention the 20 mile drive to and from the city I deliver at since I live in a rural town. Then you have to remember that the more expensive EVs are more expensive and they are known for having a lesser build quality. Tesla is notorious for having suspension issues and build quality problems. So honestly a hybrid would make this better. An EV is to iffy and expensive if something breaks.
Questions...how can i reapply for uber eat? Initially i was denied when i applied for Uber driver in 2018 for DUI which occurred in 2015......I recently apploed for doordash 2023 and was approved and so i try Uber again, but theres no reapply application anywhere.
With a history of a DUI on your record, maybe they just don't want to take a chance with you driving OTHERS around. Doordash probably approved you because you are only driving FOOD around (lol).
Don’t do it for a full day… use flex and UE/DD to compensate each other… I can work 2 blocks for flex that make me $200… do those two blocks in 6 hours, that’s roughly $30 an hour after gas… then hit UE/DD at peak hours later in the day and you can hit $300 a day pretty savvy… and that’s if you wanna grind… do a block of flex and 3 hours of UE/DD if you don’t wanna work a full day… Feel like you maximize profit if you combine the two…
This is around 14 to 15 dollars an hour after your 1099 taxes of approximately 25% of your income. And when you factor in gas and vehicle wear and tear even less unfortunately. More like 11 dollars an hour.

I have a 2013 impala as my main car and a 2007 corolla as my delivery car. Had it for 4 years and never had an issue.
