Thank you for this video, Danny! You're one of the best teachers on the planet!!
Danny was my instructor at Musicians Institute in 1998. An incredibly versatile player
He's also fluent in Swedish having lived in Gothenburg for several years.
YEAH, Man! Very interesting: I'm studing it with so much personal commitment & benefit!
T.U. so much for your release!
Hugs from the Eternal City!
Thank you, Danny. I own several of your Licklibrary DVDs. Each one has helped me improve my playing. As have other Licklibrary instructors.
Awesome Danny, I play several instruments at 61 and taught myself how to play guitar at 12 years old.. piano at 14 and drums, base, harmonica came later. I purchased many of your classic album lessons from lick library and loved them all! I like that you teach the whole album as that is how we did it back in the day because it was easer with albums. thanks!!
Wow what a phenomenal technique. Just wow!!!
Watching this after it was broadcast but brilliant stuff! Danny is the best teacher. Had those musicians institute books given to me by my guitar teacher in the late 90s , Danny Gill and Nick Nolan.
Wow, less than 1 minute in and Danny G the master already shredding our faces off
Hello Danni, how are you? I started studying guitar with your lessons thanks for the useful tips I admire you very much
Great stuff Danny…I’m currently working on the “Diary of a Madman” vid you did…its a ton of work getting those solos under my fingers but so much fun…thanks for all you do my brother 👍
Hi Danny from Serbia !!!🎸🎸🎸
Danger City > Medicine Wheel Much love, Ol' Salt!
fantastic intro
Virginia, USA!
Hi Danny from Australia, any tips on maintaining dexterity in your fingers for older players, exercises, stretching??
6:19 " what if I started with B" , the Amin pentatonic does not use the 2nd of Amin. or B.
Please, try "Last Night " by Johnny Winter
I used to have one of your DVD lessons with tablature book. It was great! All the DVDs I see for purchase, now, seem to be from the United Kingdom. I know that most foreign movies won’t play in U.S. DVD players, because of the region codes. Will your DVDs play in U.S. DVD players?
I don't know, but you can choose a digital download and play it on your computer, instead of DVD
@@johnmac8084 Is this lesson available as a download?
I went ahead and ordered a DVD lesson, because they are selling them at music stores here in the U.S. The DVD lesson I bought from a U.S. dealer plays just fine and is the appropriate region code for U.S. DVD players.
❤🔥🔥🔥🔥from 🇷🇺
Seems the lessons are targeted to high intermediate level players only because
1. He plays slow only once or twice
2. Mentions note names instead of fret numbers
3. No on-screen tabs
Try going back and rewatching the video and maybe slowing it down as well. I'm more of a beginner myself and this is what I'm gonna be doing. Best of luck
It’s not a bad way to learn without tabs, and also it’s a short online tutorial and free flowing. No time for tabs! It’s also a free lesson in a short space of time. His lessons with LL have more time and breakdowns. Plus you can slow the UA-cam videos down.
Disappointed with lick library, if thats how you teach
If you dont take your audience with you, who are you teaching. Surely the goal is to convey knowledge, and impart ability, I dont see that taking place here, your audience are All at different levels, znd you should allow for that. More clearly
If you can't follow at all maybe you're not ready.
He’s playing three notes in scale if you can’t do that, go and get some paid lessons from an instructor, this is basic stuff.
Danny ? What's the point of saying go slow, and then your playing at 100 mph thats not helpful. Thats not teaching. Thats showing off.
He is going slow then speeding it up. Just try going back and rewatching the video to get the hang of them. Danny is a really good teacher, just a little limited with time on this free lesson really.
It's very useful to show how a lick will sound up to speed, or else you wont know what you are aiming for.
