    My nephew was murdered, shot 8 times in his car because his girlfriends ex didn’t like him dating her. I may be biased in my opinion, but from what my family has experienced in the years since his death, I whole heartedly agree with the parents on this case. Every breath my nephews murderer takes is more than what my nephew will ever be able to feel again.
    No amount of rehabilitation will ever compensate for the loss of another life. You knowingly kill someone for your own personal gain, you shouldn’t be on the same plane of existence as those who respect human life.

    Apparently a few days ago Kruse was just denied day parole again because he was a still high risk of violence towards an inmate partner. His assessment was marked high for the criteria for psychopathy, sexual sadism and necrophilia.

    I don't think it is possible to rehabilitate this kind of cruelty even when it is expressed at an early age. I am all for rehabilitating minors who commit crimes so long as those crimes weren't thrill kills. When someone tortures and kills because they get off on the pain suffering and power there is nothing there to rehabilitate.

    • @deensama7718
      @deensama7718 Рік тому +101

      Yeah, I think the problems with these types of crimes is that at the age you're able to actually make a plan for a thrill kill and execute on it, you're also developed enough cognitively and emotionally that it would be basically impossible to fully rehabilitate you. Rehabilitation of antisocial children HAS to start when they are extremely young and just start showing psychopathic behavior. I personally fully believe in the ability to rehabilitate psychopaths, but it has to take place long before they do this kind of damage. You pretty much have to do a full life-altering intervention whereby the child is completely removed from their initial environment and immersed in an environment dedicated to rehabilitation. The issue with this is that it requires a LOT of foresight, a LOT of public support to acquire funds for research, and a LOT of people willing to do the thankless work that it inevitably would take

      I had a boy as neighbour who tortured their cat, threw sharp arrow darts in his brothers back and was fascinated by Jaws the shark movie. He asked me how much the people who got eaten by a shark got paid as he tought it was real. He was my age and at that age he should know a movie is not real. I tought this guy was a danger and an idiot at the same time a dangerous combination. He once attacked me and I beat the shit out of him. After that he always wanted to hang around me, but as soon as someone more popular came along he tried to get with them. Later he was upset I didnt hang out with him anymore. He ditched me for someone more popular every chance he could, but always came crawling back. So I said goodby to him forever, he invented the word backstabber and litterally threw darts in peoples backs.

      evil mother probs and all others who knew and allowed abuse, lack of logic, I think more like evil narsism with intent to hurt. Like hmmm, I dont like my child cant put up for adoption (can be paid to be a mother that just covers phsical needs like food, water ect, probs get simpothy food or payments) get her murdered instead and than act sad so no one takes responsibility like its a school meant to help, thats really cruel and sad. Should be sico tested to be a parent or work with children. And be honest, Im not saying what happened was right or fair in any way. Just is ether on purpose trying to get emoshinal support as a friend to friend or was trying to start a new intimite relationship ether way, talking and not being interested in the boys, I gues (I wasnt there so I can only really gues) and than changing her mind about dating them orvengaging with them was misleading to the nasty boys that set off preditory savage hunting behavours that she didnt notice and than got murdered. If she had of just been like oh ok your not engaging with me and Im just talking about myself, or Im noticing your not reciprecating care back only listening and not engaging with me, than the nasty boys interests wouldnt of been engaging/hunting and planning. I think she was a vitmin ether way because no one desrves to die like that, life should be respected. I think if educated about real stranger danger than she more likely could of noticed the off behaviours that wernt in line with caring but rather hurting. Bad things can happen fast with preditors that act in an animalistic way but for no good reason. So she was probably thinking possibe, they just dont understand so I will tell them more and than they will care and be a friend back and than when asked to meet up, was probably like, but you still dont understand and Id like to finash explaining so im not cut off and so I can phocus on having some fun hanging out. Its a realy ugly sad thing that happened. I hope you understand, Im looking from a behavioural point of vidw from personal expiernce growing up living every day in an unsafe country and born into an abusive biological family that was abusive right from the start and am still myself lucky to be alive. I hope this sorts out the confusion/ what the fuck is wrong with people moment. Narsism is very dangerouse ranging from yelling, lying, manipulation, degrading, and murder in exstream cases and unfortunatly is so common. The abusive school can just lie and others just go y would they lie, thats crazy and dismiss the idea of reality that exists that there is evil as black as night on earth that walks. Most animals arnt this way because nature doesnt allow for narsism, humans have acess to, too much power that is and can be often used for bad like in this case. Basically some people are backwards, bad hurtful things make them feel good, tho they dont like being hurt but dont care about anyone but themselves getting what they want regardless of consiquense as long as they get what they want and if they dont get what they want, things like terism and sencless violance happens. So be carm and loving and never put another down because as he said, he hated her, probably because she did not want to date him. So must be an honest individual and stay away from bad people and fight them if nesisary just dont engage in there manipulitve behavours that deny other peoples free will for there own benifit. Im surprised someone as most just see there hands and thats it. Noticed, apart from bikis brooming outside they know it was no accident and are spys and dangerouse. Tho I walk through the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, If I have quoted correctly. Anger sets of narsitic rage, out of control anger as they have no boundries to follow but dont like dramas they avoid that and fear is like an insentive to them. I would really like suffering to stop. It would be good/fair for children to be tort about narsism and the dangers and about stranger danger precautions and rules to go by and safty in place. Because just saying to anyone or a kid who is extra courouse often about learning about life, dont talk to strangers and dont except lollies from strangers as I remember, doesnt help. Cos than kids not understand thinking that is a kind act offering lollies ect as nasty savage people will lie in artful ways, of my sick friend, I lost my dog ect, its not about the exact reason is just they will say anything that sounds good to captivate like lets meet up at the bus stop in this sad case. Not telling a child the truth no matter how brutal the truth is, if it is to prevent harm to their life, the truth should be told no matter how old the child is. If kids new, this person would try hurt them by lieing in such ways and being dishonest, situations like this could happen less possible. I was just a very lucky child that was friendly (I now have majore social anxiety with people face to face) and so lucky but this probably happens a lot more than people are aware of and the mother did not protect her child ether not knowing because narsty people can lie for a while as part of there stage act of being a nice person better than actores in most movies. This is disrespectful to life and parenting non sico licences should be made a law, safe spaces in public (I have heard so many fatal cases at disapeared at bus stop never seen again or walking home and not returning and if found, found dead) safe places where sicos cant go, sicos not allowed access to the community as these kinds of people are unsafe not trustable to be around other people. Support sevices actually avaible not fake good looking secices. And educate children so they can be safer knowing when to leave an unsafe situation before it escilates. Also so adults arnt isolated because that is common also. Some people are evil, they enjoy hurting and seek to do so. Good people enjoy helping and dont enjoy hurting other people. I hope this helps and maybe you can educate other people that mite be at risk or in danger zones. 🥶☯️🌎🌳🌈🐛🦋🐝🐝🐝🐝☀️

    Don't let them out, Canada. They didn't commit a crime of passion. It was premeditated, and they felt no remorse afterwards. They were planning to kill again before they were arrested right? The first thing they'd do after they get out is to kill again - and this time around, they would be far more sophisticated than when they were teenagers. It's going to be horrific. Accept that there are just some kids who cannot be saved and allowed back into society, and focus on those who genuinely need help.

      Even if they don't kill again what they did deserves far more than ten years. Their behaviour isn't sane, which isn't me saying that they weren't responsible, I believe they were fully responsible, not every act of insanity excuses the perpetrators of the crime at all. But they've never shown remorse or taken any sort of responsibility for their actions. I don't really see how chemically castrating them will help, it might well have the opposite effect because this crime wasn't a sexually charged one, and taking away their chance for sexual release might well make them more likely to look for other ways to empower themselves, violently, hatefully, and viciously.
      I watched a video earlier where a 14 yr old girl murdered her disabled sister (in the US) and under the law of her state she will be tried as an adult and will either face the death penalty or will serve a life sentence with no chance of parole. That to me seems far more fair because at 14 I knew exactly what I was doing, I know that when you're that young you're more inclined to make bad decisions and because your brain isn't fully formed you're not actually behaving as an adult, but what these 2 did is far worse than what that 14 yr old girl did. The idea of them possibly being free 10 years after committing such an act is terrifying.

      @MrHolyKindness i think all disorders and variations of mental illness need to be judged on a separate case by case basis irrespective of if the mental illness they suffer in question is genetic, has been apparent since birth, or developed in their later years. i think it’s categorically wrong to box off a mental illness and go "well this is what a person with Down Syndrome should expect to receive as a criminal sentence for their actions vs this is what someone with a myriad of different mental health issues should receive as their penalty". i think it’d be quite deleterious to the justice system of, not just Canada, but any country for that matter to adopt this sort of methodology. it’s all about their cognitive ability, their ability to comprehend the severity of their crimes, if they are able to process regret and remorse, etc. it’s not as easy or as cut and dry to go "well person A has an illness that is deemed far more severe than person B’s so therefore it stands to reason that we should crack down far harder on person B". not only this but no two people with the same mental illness are going to function the same, or suffer the exact same symptoms. Autism is a perfect example. some people with Autism you may not even notice or realise they have it unless they were to tell you they have it themselves; whilst others are far more erratic, manic, and have a different level of disablement and lower brain development which make it far more obvious and apparent.
      on a quick side note, usually a sex offender who has been incarcerated isn’t just released and put back into society and everyone in the neighbourhood is alerted to their presence and their history. the reason behind why is simple: the people within that community aren’t usually wild about having a sex offender in their suburb, and harm could quite quickly come to that individual if it were to become common knowledge of their previous sexual felonies. there are a plethora of examples where a registered sex offender has been released, only for the neighbourhood to take justice into their own hands and mercilessly beat the shit out of them.

Tons of other countries have given similar or even less time in prison because they think they can change the impulses of the criminals. Junko Furuta’s case was extremely tragic. Not to mention the case of Little Na-Young in South Korea where a man assaulted a little girl and got an extremely reduced sentence because he was drunk. Cases like this make me so sad. But it isn’t only in Canada. It’s an everywhere sort of pattern.

    • @zozozilla
      @zozozilla 3 роки тому +18

      @Asta Roth exactly. All countries have bad sentences. Not just Japan or Canada or wherever lol. There are a shit ton of cases internationally where people get by for horrible crimes. Doesn’t matter where you are. It’s kinda something everyone can relate to but people never want to say that their country is just as bad as the next one. I mean, look up all the stuff Indigenous people have to go through just to get some recognition for murdered people in Canada. It’s super messed up. One case I’m thinking of right now that the killers got off quite easily is the James Bulger case in the UK where the two child killers got off and were allowed to maintain anonymity and the public was pissed. Can’t believe I didn’t mention that one. Not to mention cases in which the media makes a frenzy out of finding a killer so bad that the case gets ruined. That happens a lot in a lot of places. The penal system in general-regardless of country- can be extremely lenient and can mess up royally sometimes.

    So I don’t know how I stumbled into this video, but we went to school together. I remember the event, and how devastating it was. A close friend of mine was good friends with her back in the day. I didn’t personally know her well, but it shook the school.
    Hearing the details, that weren’t included in local news, is incredibly heartbreaking.

      I as well went to the school I remember how it shook everyone as well, my best friend was the one who got hit in the head with the shopping cart chain outside of Belmont in the smoking pit. He was really close with Kimberly, he loved her. She would sometimes come and hang out with us at my friends place. She was a very gentle person. I actually was a suspect at first and was questioned by the police, as I happened to walk over the bridge that morning and saw the fire. Although I did not know what it was, just thought some homeless persons fire. It was such a weird spot for them to leave the body, the place where everyone used to smoke weed at. I still can't go over that bridge to this day. Her family called my friend Justin the night before asking if we have seen her, as it wasn't normal for her to not come home. Me and all my friends that night went out looking for her calling anyone we could think of. I remember him saying something about Cruise, as he never trusted him.

    I feal like the laws weren't designed to have young people do such horrific things, so when it does happend the punishment is completely out of place. The fact that they get to enjoy their late 20s when they get out is absolutely insane. I know that you do "dumb" stuff when you are younger, but this wasn't just "dumb", it was purely evil.

    Canada has very lenient sentences, one of my friends in Canada told me of that kid, I think 9, in a town near them died from a hit and run. The person responsible lived only a minute away from the scene and he even tried to change his truck's appearance. They gave him only 3 years in prison. Could you imagine losing your child and the person responsible gets to walk free just years later.

Look up "Maid" I'll get in trouble for explaining what it is. UN should be putting sanctions on Trudeau. There is many others that are even worse.

    I once spoke with Kimberly's mom, not realizing who she was. I felt so shocked to be looking at a fellow mom that had been through this. I've always regretted not talking to her again. I wished I could have told her "don't let them spoil your Kimberly's memory, by being crushed by what Kim went through. I wish she could get to a place where only her little girls shines through, in memories. Not the last thing that Kim went through...but all the rest of Kim's life "I wished she could have told me about her daughter, who she was, what she was like. But I could see the pain the mom was in and the fact she couldn't speak of Kim because it hurt so bad. But there had to be a lot to this young girl. Who was she? What was she like? I'm angry that not only did these young monsters hurt Kimberly and take her life...but they also get to steal the true memory of who Kimberly was. So, what was Kimberly like in life, not just her horrific death, but her...who was she?

      how much tougher do you want? death penalty? its been proven time and time again that it is not a deterrent. its been proven that rehab works better and lowers recidivism rates more than any so called deterrent

    • @mimim7026
      @mimim7026 3 роки тому +31

      I understand the sentiment. But note that the murder rate in America, where we have the death penalty and ostensibly tougher sentencing _on average_ (that is, not in every case a person could cite), is considerably higher than Canada's and that of other so-called Western democracies that are more lenient than the USA in sentencing. So if your goal in advocating for tougher sentencing is to reduce murder rates (i.e, deterrence), you're likely barking up the wrong tree. If, however, you are interested in making sure that the guilty parties suffer as much as possible (i.e., retributivism) because they deserve it, even if it doesn't lower the murder rate, and even if it may possibly contribute in an indirect way to a higher murder rate, then you're probably on target.
