In today's true crime documentary, we're covering the case of Micaela Costanzo and analyzing it from an educational legal and psychological perspective.
I assumed they needed probable cause to get a warrant for the footage since I know theres stricter rules/protections for school seecurity cameras in some states

@@innileliluvsanDid you even watch the video? Kody was literally stalking her, kidnapped her, gaslit his questionable gf into believing that somehow this criminal behavior was M's indication of intimate interest in HIM (zip ties and all), then killed her specifically because she rejected him. Try to keep up, will you?
Honestly even your average Joe would seem suspicious just because of how stressful that situation would be for most people especially being suspected as murder
Bruce Rivers has reacted to one of these videos before. There's a reason psyconomy isn't admissible in court, and it's that it's all bullshit. If the dude protested his innocence this channel would be like, "see? He protests to much so he's guilty." Hindsight is 20/20
That mining worker that noticed a random set of tracks in the desert and decided to follow it deserves a medal. God knows how many of us wouldn't have given it a second thought and kept driving, and Micaela would probably never have been found.
@@ghosthunter0404I agree. I don't know if I'd follow them, but I would probably notice them because I'm always cautious about possibly interrupting someone who is up to no good . I would be worried that the someone would still be there and I wouldn't investigate unless I had another person with me.
Toni was definitely the mastermind behind this. She had to have been so jealous of Micaela's kindness, popularity and, yes I'm saying it, beauty compared to herself.
So you’re outing yourself as prejudiced toward immutable characteristics. If Toni was a less privileged race, would you also accuse her of what you are for that reason? Because it’s no different. You’re part of the problem for any gap in treatment and subsequent “jealousy” in people who are less fortunate. People like you, which is most people, look for any excuse to justify shaming one person’s appearance and reactions to disparity in treatment while praising someone else for unearned traits or making the mistake of believing looking good implies being a good person or vice versa.
I also would not be surprised if people around this couple demeaned Toni in a similar way you are or implied that she was “less than” for superficial reasons in comparison to her bf, even the uploader uses euphemistic language “odd couple”…why are they so “odd”? Even if they had a good relationship or love between them, men especially are easily persuaded by peers to be critical of the woman they are with for her looks…maybe even moving into someone else that society deems “less odd”. After awhile this will get to the person who is being devalued. As it would you, if you were in her place. People in these comments were already salivating and foaming at the mouth wanting a reason to hate Toni before they even had any legitimate one.
What's insane is she confessed all that with a straight face and smiles.. and is aloud to parole. Shes a psychopath. I hope she gets denied parole for life!! Blessings to Ms. Micaela's family..
It’s honestly refreshing to hear a parent hold their criminal child responsible, all too often you hear of parents enabling their murderer child and coddling them. I loved hearing his father say “and what about michaela’s decisions?”
@@joehogan3691 Can you blame him? It's ingrained into us as humans. It must of been heartbreaking for his father to go through and I respect him for not giving in and acceping what his son did.
Kody's reaction to that was so typical for that type of person. It enraged him to not have the pity focus on him that he turned aggressive, demanding and making threats to regain control of the narrative. I can only imagine how exhausted his father must've felt by that time. So sick of a son who thinks only of himself and his feelings. I couldn't handle having a kid like that. He'd be in therapy so fast long before it ever got to this point.
He's showing what a normal thought process is, something his son is devoid of. He has to protect the rest of the family, he's probably figured out at this point he never really knew his son, and to let justice take it's course.

I’m glad you included his prison phone calls, as hard as they were to listen to. It paints the perfect picture of who Kody really is: a whiny, self-absorbed, manipulative demon.
God, he is the worst. I could hardly bear to listen to his whiny lying confession. We could all read between the lines and understand that he lured her out there and beat and stabbed her to death. That phone call between Kody and Toni is insane. Without the context that comes immediately after, he seems horrible. Afterwards she seems like a manipulative narcissist
@@Lintahlo yeah I don’t think there was much nuance to talk about considering he slashed a girls throat. He had every opportunity to not go along with it if it was Toni’s plan, he didn’t. He’s a murderous cold blooded monster, they both are.
As a retired police officer trained in the REID technique, I spend my golden years very much enjoying these videos. First, Javier is a damn good kid and I can see it. There was absolutely no attempt at deception in any of the footage. He is caring, honest, and responsible. Toni is an absolute dishonest individual whose clear obsession of Kody definitely builds the motive for 1st degree murder. Additionally, whenever she says "kinda", the following statement is a lie. She uses "kinda" to be non specific about details in her statement. I'm surprised that interviewers didn't take the opportunity to dig down whenever she used that, major red flag, term. Kody, another liar, would give confirmation looks whenever he was lying. His truth telling style during the interview was looking at his hands, but when he lied, he would make strong eye contact with the interviewer for confirmation to see if they were buying what he was selling.
Lets not go overboard. He should have told off his POS son and turned his back on him for what he did! He would have been dead to me upon seeing all the evidence against him and his confession.
Not in my right and wrong world. I could be deeply in love with a woman and upon finding she cheated on me, she would be dead to me from that point forward. The same would apply to an offspring committing such an evil act. @@jamestarrou3685
The fact that Kody and Toni really expect us to believe Micaela was so attached to Kody, after Javier said in the beginning she kept telling Kody to leave her alone, is just sick.
She definitely did. I wouldn't doubt that she told Kody that he needed to prove he loved her and snatch Micaela. They kidnapped her and beat her with her hands tied behind her back so she couldn't fight back. I wouldn't doubt that they knocked her out then zip tied her. I just can't understand why Micaela would willingly get in the car with 2 people she didn't want to be associated with. Something is still amiss but bottom line is Toni is the reason she's gone. She definitely shouldn't be able to get out of prison. That was such a twist to find out that she was there. At first I thought it was gonna be that she knew because Kody confessed to her, I couldn't believe she was there from the start. Looking back on her first interview and then the prison call, followed by her confession to Kody's lawyer, I knew then it was all her. She used a angry teenage boy to "prove his love ".
Javier is a great kid. Not only did he help police understand Micaela’s daily schedule and habits, but even her moods and thought processes. You could tell he really was concerned about her and wanted to help however he could.
@KeyDx7 .....they haven't said anything about Javier being involved. They're saying that even though we do not know him personally he seems like a good person.

It's pretty amazing that the police keeps telling us "Call IMMEDIATELY if you think someone is missing, the first hours are the most important" and then when Micaela's mother calls, they don't start searching for her until the day after. Nice job guys, knew that I could count on you :D
It is the first 3 half hours that need a quick response . But of course the Police have no end of teenagers leaving home . or staying at a friends without saying . but its no excuse a beautiful young girl goes missing they should act as a just in case . however by time she was reported missing she would have been dead . I have a lot of respect for Kodys father. A lot of people don't empathize with the victims of their chikdrens crimes and only think of themselves. He did the right thing by helping Micaelas family get the truth from his son. You can love your child AND do the right thing as a fellow human being.
I came to the comments to say the same thing. As a true crime enthusiast, I don't think I've ever seen this. It's almost always the opposite of this, with parents claiming their child is innocent or even assisting them with the crime. His parents are truly amazing people worthy of much respect.
Listening to his Dad just ripped my heart out. It seems like he did his best but with some people something is just broken. No amount of talking, listening or attention is enough. Nothing is their fault and if its obvious that it is, all the attention deserves to be on them because of how THEY feel. If he hadn't fostered a relationship with his son, he wouldn't have confessed so quick.
my heart always breaks for the parents of the kids who do such heinous things when you can tell the parents don’t deny their child’s guilt, encourage their child’s confession & help the investigation when they can. i can’t imagine being in his situation. obviously my heart breaks even more for that poor girl and her loved ones but there’s also room to feel for the parents who do the right thing when their child is likely guilty or obviously guilty. it would be absolutely sickening to have such an evil child who could do something so disturbing and heinous then continues to feel bad for himself even during the confession. hope cody’s having a horrible time in prison
Ridiculously unsettling to know a guy you meet as a very young child could end up being your murderer before you even graduate high school. Or at dating the wrong guy in 8th grade could lead to the kind of violence that involves both a knife at the time cutting you and a few years later this type of horrific murder. Just. I can't even.
Teach your kids not to just sleep with anybody n know wtf is not normal. Kids these days think everyone is safe or everyone is looking out for them nahhh
It's so disappointing every time cops just assume that a kid must be a runaway, despite having no actual evidence in support of that assumption, and don't bother to look for them right away. They're buying killers time when they do that. SMH
As soon as I heard Javier talking I knew he was innocent. He was giving up all the information he knew, even told the police officer that he thought she was unsafe, something murderers usually don't do. He sounded very honest and I felt so bad for him because you can tell he really cares about her
his rock solid alibi as well. If he was guilty he wouldn't disclose information what can easily be disproved. You know he is innocent the moment he tells his exact whereabouts.
Honestly, he seems like a very sweet kid. I hope everyone involved in this case is doing okay in their healing journey. I can't imagine the pain of loss they're still feeling to this day.
Kodys dad seems like a seriously stand up man. His plea to his own son to do what's right for the victim while also not trying to sidestep anything, even saying what he's done is heinous. We see many parents try to do the exact opposite. You can tell how much it's killing him as a dad though
Really makes you wonder if he was always like this or it just took a crisis like this to sober him up. I really, really wonder about how good of parents these people really were. I'm sure there are some outliers - like parents that were great and their kid was fucked up by circumstances beyond their control - but its got to be in the vast, vast minority.
I actually think Kody wouldn't have been involved in killing Micaela if not for Toni's presence. If he was alone with Micaela, she would still be alive.
How can they claim the killing was spontaneous when they had zip ties, and a shovel with them, in someone else’s car? They obviously brought that stuff along knowing what they were going to do
I actually thought that her body was dumped somewhere outside of town and Javier was worried they would find her body that way. I was initially thinking he was the killer
Why did the investigators write Kody off to begin with? His story differed from Toni's straight off the bat when he claimed he saw Micaela at the school when he left at 530, while Toni claimed she got a text from Kody at 530 saying he was home. That would have prompted me to check the school security footage long before a random call about anything in the desert....

Considering how over reported this was, how you can see/hear a 100 different videos and tv shows, and read the entire court room testimony, there's really no good reason Toni got a slap on the wrist in comparison. And it probably was brought up those months before her murder when javier claimed kody tried getting in touch w her... Sad that jealousy can do that. They hadnt been together in years and both kody and micaela had moved on to "better" relationships... Mainly better in micaelas case...

Of all these interviews I've watched yeah, he just seemed honestly like the most genuine up front person and you could really tell the situation was eating him up.
People like to blame parent’s for their young adult’s actions when it comes to stuff like this, but this is raw emotional truth coming from that dad. He wants to be there for his son but he is in shock more than anyone could ever imagine and his heart is shattered, life flipped upside down.
This case had me on the edge from beginning till the end. You almost immediately can tell that Javier is being truthful and is a sensitive, kind young man. I can see why Micaela liked him. What a shame that some people in the world are so sick.
Yea she disrespected him a lot. You don’t go talking with your ex boyfriend & riding around with him. That was definitely not right, that young man deserved better.
He said he didn't take her clothes off because "She was sitting" (so he couldn't get them off). She was supposedly dead when he said he was going to take her clothes off. Saying she was sitting means she was alive. He had her zip tied in a sitting position. Those two should rot since they're both sociopaths. Him trying to manipulate his dad on the phone (implying he wants to kill himself because he doesn't feel like part of the family in jail) then telling his dad he loved them when his dad expressed guilt shows what he is. Gaslighting POS. Toni talking like a little girl with him on the phone shows what she is too.

The father’s voice in their first conversation, at the station... Man, he is in an awful spot: loves his son, knows he’s broken, having to set the boundary that says “no escape from your horrifying crime”, possibly even somewhat scared of him, and just begging him to do the right thing. That’s heartbreaking. That’s real character, too. Huge respect to the dad for pushing him to face the consequences.
Yea real character and a wonderful man. He raised a good kid. I applaud Kody dad for all the accountability he gave Kody growing up. What a dad and great man
Before judging that man too hard maybe you should think a bit about the society you all live in. You love the roll of alpha, masculine men and feminine, petite women, like Barbie and Ken. The males are supposed to be tough, aggressive and go-getters, to take what they want and support their wives and children. Women are supposed to give their men and children what they need, support them, adore them and take care of every single need they have, clean the house, nurture the children and pamper their hard working husbands. So, caring, nurturing men are looked upon as gay or weak and tough females are looked upon as dominant or lesbians. This is the reality your children grows up in and what do you think happens when teenage boys don't get what they want? They take it or throw a fit. Kody was violent and unbalanced. He was also violent and involved with a toxic girl who's whole existence was to be a girlfriend of Kody, an accesoir. Not a self reliant and secure young woman. This is probably more what made Kody go along with the heinous crime than anything else. Kody's dad spent all his day at work, seeing his son maybe in the evening and weekends. How much of all this do you actually think he knew about? You are the only country I know about that have all this "teenage drama" where young people think you can swipe the problems away by killing a friend. It doesn't happen anywhere else! Maybe it is time for you all to vote progressive, start paying taxes used to create a society where both parents work a normal 6-8 hour day, with paid and mandatory vacation and stuff the rest of us already have. Then maybe you will have parents available to the kids while they grow up so that you can constantly give them love and affection along with discipline and care. @@eh5872
@@eh5872 I know modern youth in their quest to blame everyone else on earth and avoid all accountability put everything on the parents, but you can be a good parent and raise an idiot. I am such an example, and I know many others. Unfortunately, your peers matter and you are forced to spend more time with them, no matter how devoted the parent.
@@eh5872 It’s very likely that Kody has some neurological dysfunction that makes him an aggressive sociopath, and that problem can’t be fixed by a parent’s advice or discipline. If you ever have the misfortune to encounter a person like this, and try to “fix” them, you will experience the truth of the futility of that effort. Blaming the father for his son’s behavior is not valid. There’s no suggestion that the father abused him, or otherwise pushed him into this criminality or hostility. Consider this: Are your parents responsible for all of your behavior? Are you nothing more than an extension of your parents? Do you have your own mind, making your own decisions, acting as an independent person? Do you blame your parents for all of your own mistakes, or worse, blame them for your crimes? Other parents in this situation have attempted to hide their children’s crimes, and protect sociopaths from the law, while subjecting society to future murders. Kody’s father did the opposite, to hold Kody accountable, and to keep him from killing anyone else. So yes, he deserves credit, for seeing the situation for the catastrophe is was, and urging Kody to make the morally correct decision.
Wow, this video was incredibly gripping from start to finish. The way it delved into the complexities of human behavior and the chilling reality of what happened to Michaela was both haunting and eye-opening. This video serves as a stark reminder of the darkness that can lurk beneath the surface, but also highlights the importance of justice and closure for those left behind.

It’s because these days everyone is desensitized and it has greatly skewed their moral judgement. They watch violence in the news and in entertainment daily. It has become acceptable to use vulgar language in normal conversation. Sex and porn are pushed on our children through the media, internet and now at least in some areas through the public school system. This slow drip of filth in our daily lives has allowed most young people to look at violent situations as just another thing that gets posted to the internet.

I cant believe Toni got the lesser sentence. Not only does it seem very obvious that SHE was the one who wanted Michaela dead, she seems WAY more cold about the whole thing. When Kody recounted what happened he cried and sniffled and gagged his way through the story. When Toni recounted what happened.. she sounded chipper and emotionless and nonchalant as if she were telling a fictional story. Tbh even a fictional story usually gets more emotion out of a person. Like she does not care at all. She should have gotten life without parole, as well.
I'm sure that Cody did simply do what his girlfriend wanted him to do. Toni was stupid to speak with the lawyer when she could have kept quiet and gotten away.
Toni should have absolutely got life without parole. The chilling calmness of her retelling the timeline of the murder, admitting that they kicked and punched her as she was trying to get up, the fact that she could tell micaela was incoherent as they beat her, she did everything that Kody did. Her sentence is appalling. For me, Toni was the mastermind/jealous girlfriend who convinced her violent boyfriend that they needed to get rid of her. Kody was so in love with Toni that even when confessing to the crime kept Toni out of it.
I totally agree, she probably would have gotten it if it wasn't for the plea deal that she earned herself. hopefully they deny her parole again and she actually gets to serve a life sentence
It’s clear to me that he had mentioned Michaela before and thus Toni’s crazy fear of jealousy drove her to persuade him to kill her. They got the sentence they deserved… a lifetime a part.
I wish we could see a follow up with javier, the moment he began speaking i could see his genuine care and it broke my heart knowing how this would end
Javier is a great kid. You can just tell. Hes worried about his friend / girlfriend, hes very honest, he asks the right questions, he goes to work, gets good grades, and takes his girl to the taco truck for lunch, etc. His parents should be very proud of him! Im so sorry for his loss.
When they asked him if he had any questions, his mind immediately went to finding his friend and how the police were going about it. Parents def raised a good one.
Kodi’s dad’s plea to his son broke my heart. Too often you see the parents enable and even encourage vile behavior. He knows what his son has done is wrong and it breaks his heart. He seems like a good - albeit - broken man. Just so sad all around 😢

@@sk8queen I love the narrator's voice and have to admit that sometimes it sends me off to sleep, then I have to go back and try and find out where I nodded off!
You can tell how politely Javier was trying to stress during his interview that this was not normal behavior. He knew they would look at her past runaway and assume that was all this was, and he was trying so hard to make it clear that if this was in fact the case, she would have told someone. Poor kid
Geez, why did Toni confess all of a sudden. Thr cops had no idea. They always suspect the man of wrong doing but never a woman especially a teenage girl. She could have got away with murder! She just doesnt know any better but as she gets older, she will be kicking herself for doing that!
Probably afraid He would drop the dime on her and tell the cops she premeditated everything. She probably thought she could get ahead of it to get off the hook or get a lesser sentence.....
They both messed up but Toni's eyes and her calm tone like she's reading a script while confessing is 100% clear she's a psychopath, def should never be released.
Exactly. Kody sounded like a selfish guy, but never to the point of not having genuine human emotions, as twisted as they may have been. There was a certain level of remorse... but Toni, completely cold and detached.
That’s western justice systems for you. Equally guilty of the crime, but a lesser sentence because she’s a woman, even though she’s the one who had the motive to kill in the first place.
That girl should have to spend AT LEAST the 18 years sentenced to her before being eligible for parole. It's ridiculous that they would even allow her a parole hearing before then!
She should've got an equal sentence to Kodi's, at least. She was the premeditator -- should've got the longer sentence if anything. (But, of course, she's a girl -- easier to blame the boy.)
@@772amanda237 I agree! She was testing Kody to prove his love for her because Toni's so insecure she wanted Micaela out of the picture....Permanently. Toni is both evil and insecure which is a terrible combo!
That’s what I was thinking but maybe it’s due to some sort of privacy thing because it’s footage from school? It could require a higher burden for police to get this footage. Just a guess though
The guy gave off this, "Bruh, I went to work and then suddenly everything was fucked" energy. You know immediately with his tight af clock in time this kid's alibi was tight af, he was at work. Based on the time frame and age, he probably is working a restaurant or retail job, the kind of shit people would notice if you went off somewhere for a couple hours. It was obvious he was at work.
Toni's face looks like a normal high school girl when she's talking, but when she's just waiting and no one's in the room and she drops the mask OMG she looks evil AF. Just cold rage.
Cops did a lousy job. They only found Kody's footprints near the gravel pit and had only one suspect. Toni would have got away with murder if she hadn't stupidly confessed. First photo of Toni told the whole story, a story as old as sin. A hideous girl lands a handsome guy with a cute ex. still in the picture.
And not self absorbed. I found it really impressive that he knew her well enough to know she didn’t hide her feelings. Not every teenage boy would pick up on that.
@@kellidinit3725 i wonder why javier did not help micaela and step to kody to tell him to back off because he was bothering and making his girlfriend uncomfortable?
the fact that if toni just stayed quiet she might've gotten away with it, but she confessed for some odd reason and then kody turned on her to try to get a lesser sentence himself. im sure that he would've made claims against her in court but because he didn't say anything in the interrogations about her being involved i doubt the jury would've believed him
Man I really feel bad for that dad, he knew cody was the one who did it and he even seemed fearful about being in the room with cody, having to accept the fact that he raised a killer. it's so heartbreaking. The family aren't bad people, they just had a bad apple.
We dont know that. For him to have those violent tendencies etc. There is no way that his ex best friends family didnt talk to his parents about him. Same as how the school likely informed his parents about his abuse towards Toni and how the school kept them separated as best they could. I have a feeling there's a lot happening behind closed doors. Some people are great at putting on a facade. It's also possible he was just a bad apple, but I doubt it. @@LemursManLemurs1nah the way the father burst into tears talking to kody it’s clear that he’s a good man and a good father, he may have known his son had anger issues but no parent would think “my son will be a killer”. it’s not that hard to believe anymore that some kids can have the best parents/upbringing and still turn out evil no matter what you do, it’s scary.

My dad beat the shit out of me until I could hold my own and posed a real threat to him. And he was very good at putting on a facade around other people. He was one of the most well liked people in my neighborhood. And same as how someone can have a great home life and turn out like shit. Someone can have a shit homelife and turn out to be great. I learned how not to be from my parents. And thankfully had good examples from my grandparents. My point is. You're making an assumption off of a singular phone call. No other details about his parents or home life were revealed.
If Toni ever gets out on parole it'll be awful. She so casually explained the murder and didn't seem to care she took someones life. Even confessing that they had a chance to save her but didn't. Jesus christ.
I love how her sentence was life with no possibility of parole for 18 years but she's already having parole hearings at 10 years. It's a joke how we treat murderers with kid gloves while drug dealers get 100 year + sentences. Murder should be LIFE no possibility of parole EVER. @@mat5473 It depends on whether it was in self defence or not but I mostly agree with you. Especially if you show no remorse or if you had a plan for it before hand.

This is someone who so genuinely thinks mild frustration is worth killing over that she can so casually and flippantly talk about it as though she were ordering pizza or chatting at lunch.
Her frustrations had been eliminated / satisfied.

I believe she pushed him in that direction. Psychopaths are real good at manipulating people.
That’s western justice systems for you. Equally guilty of the crime, but a lesser sentence because she’s a woman, even though she’s the one who had the motive to kill in the first place.
Just looking at her shes a jealous girlfriend. Wanted her out of the picture she didn't trust cody
Her parole was denied in 2021
@@772amanda237 I agree! She was testing Kody to prove his love for her because Toni's so insecure she wanted Micaela out of the picture....Permanently. Toni is both evil and insecure which is a terrible combo!
@@nellsun2521seriously but allow her to rot in prison while he gets married in prison you people
It's female privilege. The reason women bring up "male privilege" as often as they do is to distract from the massive amount they themselves enjoy.
His face turning red is also an indicator of nervousness, well at least that's how my face turns when I'm awkwardly nervous
My God this is heartbreaking..I think I'll pass on any more of these videos. May Micaela rest In peace.
I understand. I watch true crime once a yr because it's just awful.
Absurd that they didn't look at the school's security footage until after her body was found. You'd think that would be the first thing they do.
That’s what I was thinking but maybe it’s due to some sort of privacy thing because it’s footage from school? It could require a higher burden for police to get this footage. Just a guess though
@gerardogomez1849 yeah, a lot of states have protection over school surveillance so the police would've needed a very solid warrant to get it
You’d think you would understand these videos are for entertainment, and edited together to keep suspense building.
It's too logical. Therefore cops look at it after they literally checked everything else. Always late, always a step behind.
Look at the detectives on here that gathered all their law degrees from watching Law n Order 😂
You could see the sincerity oozing out of Javier. Seems like such a sweet kid, so sorry for all those involved.
@@zettozettomer2640what motivation too!! Left school at 3:51pm, clocked in at work at 3:55pm!! Bless him!!
I dont even know how I'd feel in his shoes
His voice though... I wanna hold his nose... 🙉
@@kenzisdad02wtf
Toni's face looks like a normal high school girl when she's talking, but when she's just waiting and no one's in the room and she drops the mask OMG she looks evil AF. Just cold rage.
Cops did a lousy job. They only found Kody's footprints near the gravel pit and had only one suspect. Toni would have got away with murder if she hadn't stupidly confessed. First photo of Toni told the whole story, a story as old as sin. A hideous girl lands a handsome guy with a cute ex. still in the picture.
Javier was raised right and is a responsible young man. It was apparent he was completely honest with the police officers through his interrogation.
I'd be a lousy cop, i can never tell when someone is lying. 🙄
And not self absorbed. I found it really impressive that he knew her well enough to know she didn’t hide her feelings. Not every teenage boy would pick up on that.
@@kellidinit3725 i wonder why javier did not help micaela and step to kody to tell him to back off because he was bothering and making his girlfriend uncomfortable?
they wanted him to be guilty so bad
@@nelsonbohanon2190I’m glad they found nothing to hang onto !
Man, hats off to his dad telling him to do the right thing for Micela . RIP
the fact that if toni just stayed quiet she might've gotten away with it, but she confessed for some odd reason and then kody turned on her to try to get a lesser sentence himself. im sure that he would've made claims against her in court but because he didn't say anything in the interrogations about her being involved i doubt the jury would've believed him
Depends, the jury would maybe have believed if he seemed sincere and came up with one or two "proofs"
People with stable and loving home lives generally dont kill others
No it sounds more like a broken and disappointed dad. I didn't hear any fear in his voice except sadness
We don't know that. What Kody said about they nor asking him how he feels, ever, reveals important information about how they raised him.
As he said, I think they all have a part in this.
@@harley4886 I mean. No shit he cried. Even a pretty shitty parent would cry if they found out their son killed someone. All I'm saying is. Y'all are saying hes a good dad from one phone call. Children often mimic what goes on at home. Again. Possible he was truly just a bad apple. But more than likely he saw violence at home.
Toni was the mastermind behind it all, she wanted Micaela dead and gleefully did it without regret.
I love how her sentence was life with no possibility of parole for 18 years but she's already having parole hearings at 10 years. It's a joke how we treat murderers with kid gloves while drug dealers get 100 year + sentences. Murder should be LIFE no possibility of parole EVER. If you took somebody's life, your life should be over, forever. No second chances just as there weren't any for the victim.
@@mat5473 It depends on whether it was in self defence or not but I mostly agree with you. Especially if you show no remorse or if you had a plan for it before hand.
Also I don't think people realize that Toni must have been feeling powerful and excited over the fact she convinced the guy who she loves to murder her biggest rival against that love (Mickie) with his own hands. Like Kodi basically chose between the two girls, and their (Kodi and Toni) celebration was murdering her (Mickie) together. @@user-sj6rm6oq6v
I still don’t think the truth about the murder was stated by either one. You just don’t cuff a dead body.
Man they harassed the FUCK out of poor Javier. Like leave him alone.
I’ve been with my partner for 10 years engaged for 5 and if a girl was telling me she loved me and to leave my partner I wouldn’t then give her a lift home! It’s madness
Not speaking to a girl with a boyfriend in school for 3 months, while having a fiance yourself, then randomly calling that girl to ask her to help you move plywood at his home, is like a 99.9% chance that he is the killer, no other details needed.
Yeah, I thought that was so weird!
the fiance is the one who orchestrated the murder, kody was just a useful idiot for tony to help her kill michaela.
I think that it was Toni’s idea to kill her, and she talked him into it, which was easier than he thought….. i just don’t understand why she brutally described to a lawyer all the details?? like “i’m a cold blooded killer will you represent me”
Right? I immediately clocked that. Like, who calls their ex, who they're on bad terms with, to randomly help move construction supplies? Like dude needed help so bad and had no other options except a girl he hadn't talked to in months? lol
@@nicholash1278I think they're just pointing out that it was poorly crafted lie on his part, regardless of whose idea the murder was. They obviously didn't make any real effort to coordinate with each other on what to say. "Oh, those texts? Yea, I needed my ex girlfriend to help move some plywood". Just dumb kids. For all her murderous planning, she was not very bright and he was just as dumb going along with it. Violent but brainless, both of them.
I don’t know why but Javier’s segment hurt the most. He really drives home that they’re still so young. He’s so worried and heartbroken and you know the news absolutely crushed him. Poor baby
I’ve not got to him finding out but came to comment how he seems like I nice kid with his head screwed on. But just a kid 😢
Absolutely.. you get the idea that they were such just good kids..
I was thinking the same!!! He seems like such a sweet soul 😢 my heart truly hurts for her family and him. I hope he never changes and this tragedy just makes him stronger
You could just see fear radiating off him. He was so scared for her.
