Bill Gurley said Travis was actually much smarter and more charming in real life than the way he is portrayed here. JGL’s portrayal is entertaining, but I think the truth about the real Kalanick is much more nuanced than we see in the show.

Honestly, I love the actor and this show made me like Travis Kalanick, or at least the portrayal of him by Joseph Gordon Lovett

Love the scene, JGL’s acting here is really brilliant. Especially because this is sort of a new trend with stories like this (Vice with Christian bale ended a very very similar way although I think that one was slightly more effective) However…I think the comments are taking the wrong message from this scene 😂 its not just “I mean he’s actually right” I think it’s greyer than people are recognizing. Cause yes he got all that stuff done and reached a level of power than many of us desire. And the point made about the assholes who got stuff does of course have great validity. but at the cost of the world hating him and a lifetime of psychological turmoil and that DOES have a cost. You can see all that in that side look he gives right before he gets up. Like, was it rlly worth it though. And I think he really doesn’t what the right choice was, and thats what makes the scene interesting, that it’s living in an extremely morally grey area.

I agree...even tho he was a monster he was a great inventor & a executive. We should all be grateful for Uber.

clearly you don't have the vocabulary to understand and appreciate the masterpiece of this series. Go read a book and then watch the series again. Its worth it

thats right. He was the leg man. Thats why HE did it. Ideas dont exist until someone spins them into reality.
