Yep... installed! My water line actually comes up through the basement floor. But I was able to have the copper elbow on the inlet valve point straight down to where the water line came up through the floor. Had to fight the black clamp that holds the discharge line to get it moved, but it all ended up working great... thanks again! @@TheAppliancePlug
Installed our new Samsung DW yesterday. This vid was instrumental in a successful install. Made us a lot more confident in what needed to be done. Was dissapointed in the clip that was used to connect the power cord to the connection box. The clip is to small and does not keep the cord attached to the box. Outstanding easy to follow video. Thank You!!!
Thank you so much for your extensive video. Just installed a new Samsung today and I'm certain your video saved me 2 hours minimum and kept me from making errors in the install. Thanks again!!
Great job demonstrating the actual install of a Samsung Dishwasher. I am actually using your demo to install my Dishwasher. Thank You, Very Professional!!
The wire nuts and the wires need to be wrapped with electrical tape for long term stability from the dishwasher vibrating! Not mandatory but advisable. Great job thanks!!
Excellent video. Very comprehensive and easy to follow. However, there is one thing folks should know. I bought a Samsung Stormwash dishwasher and what I didn't realize that it needs to be connected to HOT water, not cold water as my previous dishwashers were. This may be something that needs to be addressed in future Samsung installation videos. Since plumbing in new connections is not within my skillset, I will be calling a plumber to get the hot water plumbed for my new dishwasher. Once again, thanks for the awesome video.
Thank you Tim for the kind words and to tuning into my channel! Yes some dishwashers do require different setups may that be electrical or plumbing. I would always recommend consulting a professional like you are doing! Sometimes when it comes to electrical and plumbing you would want to stay away!
Thank you for making this video. It was very informative and made me feel more confident with the installation of the Samsung DW. The steps were clear and easy to follow. Appreciate the pro-tips, they were very helpful.
Thank you for this very detailed video. It is FAR MORE useful than the one on Samsung's site. There's is like a stupid SNL skit that tells you nothing useful. It is so generalized and short it tells you nothing. I guess they couldn't afford to make a longer video. Yours is like one you would see on tv.
Awesome! Glad I could help you out! Check out the rest of our channel for anything appliance related in the future from installs, how-to-videos, product reviews and more
Thanks again. Moved into a brand new house and they just plugged the dishwasher in without the hoses and without the hole to run the hoses through. Youll think a half million $house would be completely read but 🙅♂️
Bought the installation kit recommended, but my power cord came with TWO black lines and 1 green of course . How do I know which of the two black lines goes with the white ? Thank you ! Great explanation 😃
Great video. My Samsung is a little different for the side mount than the one in another video of yours. The brackets shown for the top mount are used for the side mount. I was hoping mine was like your example. Now I have to pull it out to install those brackets. Thanks also for the leveling tips.
Thank you for this video sir just finished my install. Only thing I forgot was the sticker thing but I’m sure it can’t be that serious if it’s literally a sticker lol. Liked and subbed!
Thanks! Gracias
Boy I'd love to have you show how to attach to the cabinet seeing as the holes in the dishwasher are twice as big as the screws and they just pass through.
My bad. I have a granite counter and needed a side mount however I did not have brackets and was not aware the brackets get shortened and mounted on the side. Even the manual was vague, and UA-cam was a bigger help. I don't see why they used a bracket at all for a side mount when making the tube side hole as it is but the cabinet side hole (there are two the same size) smaller would have solved the issue. Anyway, thanks for the help FeeBay had the brackets.
You are a great teacher! Just installed mine today however the space is just on point and the black side gaskets stick out so that I cannot open the neighboring drawers. This sounds stupid but, can I remove them or are they essential for function (i.e. stopping leaks.)?
@TheAppliancePlug I pulled out the dishwasher without disconnecting it from the main drain (under the sink) and the hose now looks like it has hose inside a hose. Is that normal? Did I damage my hose?
we had our dishwasher professionally installed. Ends up, the water line was crushed under the dishwasher in the back of the cabinet. The pro is no longer available. So we are on our on. We pulled the dishwasher out, found the crushed line, fixed that, now we have returned the unit to the cabinet and it is no longer level. Having fully used the level ability of the front levels, we now need to adjust the back level. But we don't have a T bit, 9/64th T bit . . . . . (time stamp 7:00-7:05) . . . . where can we get that? Any hardware store?
Hi Marcy! Yes any major hardware store would carry a T-bit. You can also shop on Amazon as well and type in the specific one you want. If you have any other questions please let me know or you can give us a call at The Appliance Plug as well!
Just a heads up, the seal on the kick plate should be flush to the floor. Samsung manual says "Finally, attach the kick plate to the bottom of the dishwasher. informative, well done i forgot drain loop thanks very important to keep dangerous gases at bay except i would also have a loop below drain on pluming pipe side also (probably loop built in regardless?)..... but just use t fitting not plastic at 90' as its far more durable, take screen out so you dont starve your motor when it get clogged burning out your pump im not an installer just seems common sense
Do not buy this model. Installed unit and it leaks out both corners of the door, (left side is worse). The rubber flap that is at the base of the door thats installed between the kick plate actually hides the leak. My hardwood floor is now damaged due to this. Discovered the leak when using a heavy cycle, it had leaked outward so when explored by removing the kick plate i noticed that it had been leaking for a while causing the flooring to swell and lift. I contacted Samsung warranty, they sent a technician. The technician discovered the unit unlevel and thats when Samsung closed the ticket. I told the technician that (I) raised the front of the unit to limit the leak pooling to the front which assisted in it leaking out the door but didn't stop it from leaking. I waited two weeks to call Samsung warranty after the technicians visit and now that they closed the ticket they have to forward to another supervisor dept. to create another technician visit. The technician shared that Samsung is the worst at making repairs. He said that they would likely close the ticket because of him finding it unlevel regardless that it still leaks. He continued to say that his in his experience with Samsung they won't offer any repair or exchange. This model cost me nearly $900 @ Lowes. Word of caution "DON'T BUT THIS MODEL" !!!!!!
I am going through this exact same issue with Samsung on our unit! Were they able to resolve it for you? I am still waiting for them to contact me back about having a new tech return and evaluate. The previous tech replaced the seal and then determined the dishwasher was “not level” and closed the ticket. Super frustrating!
@@j17t17m yes, they seem to look for anything to close the ticket and get out of any repair or replacement. I clearly told the technician that it was level when installed and leaked. I told them that I raised the front of the unit up so that it wouldn't pool up at the door. It did assist in the amount of leakage. Anyways when the technician called Samsung during his inspection they asked was it level, as soon as he said NO they basically closed the ticket and the technician warned me that they would. Very frustrating for sure. If they don't follow up I'll use the $900 boat anchor as a target 🎯 and buy a different brand.. Good luck with your claim..
