I am so appreciative of this video. Thank you so much. Do you know that you are a natural teacher? You should consider teaching others that are entering the field. You anticipated many different potential problems and misconceptions, and this is invaluable to students. This is also incredibly helpful to the homeowner trying to understand this process for the first time. Again, I greatly appreciate this video. Great work- 5 Stars!
Thank you for all your kind words Gordon!
@@TheAppliancePlug great video
@@TheAppliancePlug my power cord fits in to the hole but is not stable
@@TheAppliancePlug can i ask, i am installing this same one which is pretty much done, i have granite countertop so can't screw into that for mounting, the side plugs, if i screw into these, does it get screwd into the frame of the cabinet enclosure, or to the side panel of the enclosure(I ask this as if i do the frame, the dishwaster sticks out the entire door depth, and the side panel I am not sure what size screw as the frame fame is about 1", the space between the dishwasher and side panel is about 1/2, the supplied screws are too small i think)
Thank you. The leveling method is what I am looking for and it is really helpful!
I'm 25 and had never installed a major appliance before. With your help I did it without getting stressed, confused, or overwhelmed! Thank you so much for making this tutorial!!
Glad to here! I appreciate your feedback. Thanks for watching!
You did a nice job. Only issue is that plastic nut that comes on the water valve is meant to replace the brass nut on your brass L fitting. Simply remove the brass nut off the L fitting and install the plastic nut, then install the same way you did. See 6:20 into the video. Otherwise really great job!
One of the best appliance installation video I’ve ever seen .
Wow, thanks!
Best video on this appliance on UA-cam! None of the others explain the way you do!
Glad you think so! Thank you!
really good video. sound cuts out on the last couple of minutes. very helpful.
Thank you for tuning in and yes UA-cam hit us with a copyright for the soft sounding music months after the upload which caused us to mute that part of the video. However, I do have an updated Samsung Dishwasher Install video (2023) on my channel!
Give this man a raise.
Thank you for this.
Damn, he can install anything he'd like in my house's holes .😀😃😁 But seriously he is actually a good instructor. Great video. We just bought a Samsung DW80R7060UG dishwasher and paid $150.00 for installation. So hopefully you folks can do it yourself. It saves tons of money
Thank you so much! Installing a dishwasher isn't too hard as long as you know what you are doing! Saves you money as well
With your help I did installed it both dishwasher and garbage disposal. Thanks a lot, the plumber was asking $325.00.
Allah bless you. 🤲
Glad to help. Thanks for watching!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! What a really well done instructional video that even a complete newbie can easily follow. Due to some mix up, I was delivered a new Samsung washer but the installers and haul away was scheduled for another day. After staring at our new washer sitting in the living room for 2 days, I found your video. Without little to no cursing, I was able to replace our old dishwasher and install the new one. I especially appreciated the helpful tip on using the wing nuts to correctly connect the wiring. Guess I'm cancelling the install appointment :)
I am so glad you found my video very helpful and was able to do it cursing free!
Wow that was so detailed. My main concern was the Teflon tape. Thank you for explaining that and why we don’t need to use it. 10/10
Glad it was helpful!
This video is much better than the machine installation manual , glad I had this to install mine . Thank you
Great to hear! Thank you.
This helped me a lot with what I didn't understood from the Manuel. Detailed information and step by step instruction helped so much!!! Thank you
Glad it helped!
Mike you do a fantastic job explaining every detail, love what you do for us neophytes, a million thanks buddy.
I appreciate that!
Good video wish I had seen it before I did my install. If you don't have a wall plug but just a several foot wire like I do you are in for a treat. I had to cut the clips off in the channel underneath the dishwasher and pull the wire through the channel with some string.
Existing electrical can certainly create additional challenges. I’ve had to fish wires through those channels many times and although it gets easier, I prefer being able to add a power cord and plugging in. Thanks for sharing!
Appreciate this video very much I was able to follow along and install my dishwasher while listening and watching step-by-step
Awesome! Glad to hear you were able to install it!
This video encouraged us to DIY install our Samsung DW80R5061US from Costco. Thanks much.
That’s what I love to here. I hope it goes smooth. Good luck!
Just used this to install my own dishwasher, saved me tons. Thank you!
Great to hear! Thank you!
Great demonstration just saved me $150 thanks buddy
Glad we can help you save money!
This is the best video for beginners 😊
Glad to help! Mission accomplished! Dishwasher installations can be intimidating and I respect those willing to take on the challenge. I appreciate your feedback 🙏
The sound disappeared near the end of the video. Nice detailed instructions for dishwasher installation.
Sorry about that our audio unfortunately cut out. However, thank you for the sub! Do you have any specific video requests or topics you'd like me to dive into next?
Thank you - your video was far more helpful than the instruction manual provided with the dishwasher.
Glad it helped! Thanks for the support.
Thanks for the info on the electrical!
No problem!
Simply superb video. Appreciate your efforts in making this video now i don’t need someone to hook it up for me. Thanks
No problem 👍
Broooooo! Thanks for the vid. I bought this exact model yesterday then installed today. Took me about 2 hours for the install plus messing with changing the supply valve in a gross undersink cabinet. Anyway, your vid helped answer some important questions for me. The instructions did say to use the plastic nut for the 90 deg elbow connection instead of the metal one -- I put the nut, washer and connection in the wrong order and had to clean up water from that leak when we checked it! Anyway, fixed the leak, rechecked, messed with mounting screws and ran the cycle, kitchen has not flooded...yet. 🤙
Thanks for sharing your experience! Glad my video helped some.
best instruction on the net, thanks for posting
No problem! Thank you for the kind words!
Thanks for the video and the easy explanation, made life easier! @Samsung, you should hire this guy, way better than your manuals!
No problem and thanks for the endorsement!
Great video !! but i wished you would have explain when you hooked the drain hose to the garbage disposal make sure you punch out the knock-out in the garbage disposal. Just saying not to many know
Great point! This was one of the first installation videos I posted and have started including that on more recent videos. Thank you!
Very helpful video, I didn’t even open the instructions for the installation. Thanks so much 👌
You're welcome!
Thank you Mike. Your video was extremely helpful and took all the mystery out of the installation process. Much appreciated.
Glad to here. Thanks for watching!
Seriously a million thank yous for making this video !!! So helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks. Great explanation. I’m now up and running. Appreciate !!!
No problem, glad we can help you!
Very nice instructional video - just what I needed to install my Samsung dishwasher!
Glad it helped!
Thanks SO MUCH for the EXTREMELY helpful video!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You are very welcome! Thank you for tuning into my channel!
Awesome video , I got the same dishwasher and installing it today !
just a foot note , the plastic nut for the water inlet that is installed is better than the brass because you can hand tighten it !!
@@CALEB95 I’m guessing Mike the installer has done a million of these and did it the typical way. I know at first I thought that nut was just a shipping nut until a look at those tiny instructions he mentioned.
@@uidx-bob Its all good , your video saved me a ton of money and was very good with instructions , Thank you !
I’m assuming removing is just as easy? My main water line is dripping under my cabinet and want to get it fixed tomorrow. Also is there a reason you put the discharge in the higher hole? Whoever put mine in put both in bottom holes.
Thanks for watching! Removing dishwasher is pretty easy. You’ll just need to follow a few steps in the right order to avoid issues. Check out this video on how to uninstall dishwasher: ua-cam.com/video/oqdXxb9tMIc/v-deo.html
As far as drain hose, it’s ok if it’s ran through bottom hole, however, it’s important that the drain hose is elevated under the sink so that it’s higher than the location it’s connected to (either garbage disposal or PVC.) Basically, you want to avoid any water back flowing into the dishwasher and the way that’s done, is to not have a drooping drain hose. Let me know if you have any questions. I can possibly go live on UA-cam and walk you through any issues or concerns. Good luck! 😎
Great Video! where I live the power supply needs to be GFCI outlet . dishwasher = water.
Makes sense. Glad you enjoyed video. Thank you.
That outlet could have been on a GFCI circuit. Just because it isn't a GFCI itself, doesn't mean it's not behind one or protected by fault interruptor at the panel
Thanks for the video 👍 Just what needed to install the electrical power cord to our Samsung Dishwasher 😁
Glad to here. Thanks for sharing!
Good video for home DIYers. So, skip the Teflon tape even though Samsung instructions say to use?
Thank you. I can't tell you to skip it because I'm not sure of your plumbing lines. The manufacturer (Samsung) will always provide the safest option based on their product.
At the end your sound went out. What screws did you use to secure the unit??? None came with my dishwasher.
Thanks for good video . I received the same model but when I opened its water 💦 all over inside. Is that the used one they delivered for me ? thanks
Not necessarily a used one. It's common that dishwashers have a very small amount of water inside them even brand new out of the box. They are factory tested before being shipped.
Thank you for the very simple explanation. You made it very easy to understand.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing I’m getting one tomorrow same brand I don’t remember which model I bought. Self install could save me $100. Merry Christmas. Thanks again
Merry Christmas to you as well! I'm glad we can help and save you money!
Thanks for the video! at the end the audio dies, but I got the idea hahaha THANKS
Thank you for subbing and yes we just recorded an updated video where the sound doesn't cut out!
How big are the screws you use to secure the dishwasher to the cabinets?
Thank you so much for this. Do you need a hammer arrestor for this machine? I only ask bcs the plumber at HD said we need it.
Well done! Thanks very much for the thoughtful and clear explanation. Cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers.
Thank you so much!! I just installed mine!! You ROCK!
Excellent, do dishwashers come with a leak pan?
Not necessarily unless it's built in with some models. However, it's not something included with a dishwasher to be installed during installation.
Great video very good wording and no obnoxious music. Audio cut off in the end unfortunately.
I'm am almost done with my install thanks to you but I'm finding that the side mount screw holes are larger than the supplied screws.
Sorry to here that. It's common to need alternate screws when doing a side mount. Thanks for watching!
Wonderful, easy, encouraging instructions. Thank you for making this helpful video!
No Problem!
Your videos rock. Should have watched before I started. Would have saved time. Your level of detail is great. I bet you are booked 100% of the time.
Thanks 👍
Awesome tutorial! Very easy to follow. Thanks for posting.
Thank you so much!
Hey man ... i just installed this today. The manual says to use the white nut at the bottom water supply. Was i not supposed too??
It’s ok to use it. It actually threads easier but you can use the brass fitting as well. Most important thing is just confirming you don’t have any leaks when you turn the water on. Try to slide the dishwasher out so you can see the connection while the water is on.
excellent video how to do it to install dishwasher
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much this video helped me a lot 👍
Glad to hear it!
Voice audio never came back after 23:30 or so. I hope you can fix this. The rest of the video looks good.
Thank you so much for such a lovely demonstration...👌 Keep up the good work 👍.....
I appreciate the kind words. Thank you for watching!
Very nice thanks for the tutorial. But towards the end no audio.👍👍.
I appreciate your feedback. Thanks for watching!
the drain from my old dishwasher ran to the air gap and the Samsung drain hose connector is much wider than the connection at the air gap. Any suggestions?
Did you notice that the drain hose has a smaller connection option right behind the larger connection? Was that also too big?
GREAT video - thanks for doing this. too bad the volume cut out at the end it looks like...lol
I appreciate your feedback. Thanks for watching!
I installed Brand New Samsung 39dba DW and it does not drain completely on Auto, Normal and Heavy cycle but does drain completely on Express 60 and Rinse..... does the drain hose need to run straight up from back of DW over cabinet to help push the water... right now drain hose is runs perpendicular/sideways into sink cabinet....
Hi this is such a great video! quick question do you connective dishwasher to hot or cold water supply?
Excellent DIY video
Hi my new Samsung dishwasher always had 1-2cm of leftover water after a wash so I called a technician over. He said it's because the drain hose is installed too high up (just like in this video) and it's not allowing the leftover water to drain out completely. Instead, I should feed the drain hose below the cabinets.
What do you think?
Thanks, Great Video. Going to install my new one later.....will consider the brass fittings based on some reviews and comments.
Thanks for commenting. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!
One problem, he forgets to remove the white-water plug before installing the L brass adopter. Water do not flow freely into the dishwasher. Big mistake. I would test run one load outside
the cabin to check for any leak. Once everything is clear, push it in and level it. He did a good job explaining step by step, DIY. Thank you.
You’re not suppose to remove that. It’s a filter to stop hard water particles from clogging the inlet valve. It’s also not always possible to test the dishwasher before sliding in because your connection lines won’t reach when the dishwasher is pulled out. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much you really made a useful detailed video, you are awesome 👏 thankful to have found your tutorial on UA-cam.
Thank you so much Ariana! I am glad you were able to find my content!
Bro, as we say in Mexico, "Eres chingon!!!" Great tutorial. I'm gonna tackle mine tomorrow. I have the Dacor dishwasher, they should be close to the same, no?
One thing I'd like to ask just to be sure. My DW80R5060US came with insulation on the back, I noticed you installed without it. If it's just packaging protection it seems a bit of a waste
I recommend keeping all insulation the unit comes with. It helps with sound. The model installed in this video only came with the insulation shown. If you're referring to packaging, then it can be removed. Hope this helps.
Could you do an installation for the Samsung DW60R2014US
This installation will apply to all Samsung models and I have just recently uploaded a new Samsung dishwasher install video as well
Buahaha that smile and thumbs up at the beginning you got the hookup you coming over
ahahahha glad you like it!
Thank you. Great videos
Thank you!
Thank you ..very helpfull video .
No problem, glad I could help out!
Saved me a service call. You earned a like and subscribe
I appreciate the support Jeff!
Thank you ,you made it look easy.
Thank you Waseem!
Every other video glosses over the actual install. You showed every fucking step. Thank you so much!
Thank you for noticing all the detail I put into the video!
Hello, nice job with this video.... I just bought a Samsung DW80R7060UG dishwasher. Any chance you have a video install for this unit? Thanks!
Hello, thank you for the recognition. Congratulations on your new purchase. We don't have a specific install video for the model you purchased, however, this video should walk you through the same steps your installation will need. There may be a slight variation depending on what year your dishwasher was manufactured. Feel free to ask any specific questions if at any point you get stuck. Good luck!
Great explanation. Gave me confidence when I installed the exact same model here. Thank you for posting!
Glad we can help you Mark!
Thank you. Video was very informative/helpful 👍🏻
Great video! Awesome detail, made my install so much easier! Thank you Mike!
Glad it helped! Thank you!
Thanks for taking your time in explaining everything! This was a great video! You have a new subscriber now!
Thank you for subscribing to our channel!
So for this one you just screwed it into the side of the cabinet w/o anything but screws. I take it this dishwasher was made to do this. Correct?
Yes, this particular model has a side-mount option for securing. Some other models may require brackets. There’s also an option to add a bracket under your countertop to mount from the top. Check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/6GboHVc4q4Y/v-deo.html
Terrific job! This clarified a lot of questions and saved me a lot of time!!! Couldn’t ask for anything more :)
Glad we can help!
Best video out there!! Thanks a lot!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks man!
No worries! You are welcome!
Any reason why you do not use the plastic nut with the 90° fitting?
Samsung shows in the manual how to assemble it.
My install guide says to replace the brass nut and washer with the supplied plastic ones. Right off, the thing leaked! I re-threaded, still leaked. Added teflon tape, still leaked. Used teflon thread compound and it took awhile to leak. I'm going to try the brass nut.
I reside in Florida where we have very hard water and I find brass fittings to be more reliable.
@@kbrilhart Thank you for sharing, let us know how the brass elbow works out. Be sure not to cross thread.
@@TheAppliancePlug The brass elbow was the only way to connect without leaks for me. After some grief trying to do things the Samsung way, I gave up, but wonder why they don't just make a connection for the 3/8 compression fitting? Fewer parts and a connection that is super easy and reliable.
Agreed. Thanks Keith!
The screws I was provided to secure the washer into the cabinets on each side have a head that is too narrow for the size of the hole. The two holes (once you take the plastic insert out) are quite large. Anyone have this problem? Great video!
Me! Wtf!
@@paulberg6855 there’s another video that shows it . You use the metal bracket provided and snap it off.
@@paulberg6855 ua-cam.com/video/nPA6fqw_nCU/v-deo.html
Yes, me, too. The instructions that came with the washer are some of the worst I've seen. That's how I ended up here! The machine this guy installed didn't have what we have because he used normal screws to attach the machine to the cab on each side.
@@bidotube Would have been awesome if you included a link. :( There are a ton of vids to wade through...
Thank you! Helped a lot!
Glad it helped!
clean build!
Thank you!
that piece of paper you discarded clearly stated to use the supplied nut, but you did not. will there be an issue by not using it?
You’re absolutely right. The plastic adapter should be used to replace the brass one. I believe the plastic adapter is recommended because it will help avoid cross threading and over tightening of the valve. Both, cross threading and over tightening can be avoided with the brass fitting. However, you have to be extra careful. The brass fitting can easily eat through the plastic connection. I do suggest using that plastic connection. Would you like me to post a short clip showing that step?
@@TheAppliancePlug sweet! yes because apparently, the plastic adapter doesn't fit into the 90 degree elbow. thank you! instant sub!
@@5thpixel awesome! You got it. It might take me a few days to get a video posted. However, if you’re available tomorrow or Saturday, I can possibly go live and show you. If you aren’t in a rush, I’m sure I can have it posted early next week. Thanks for the sub!! 😁
@@TheAppliancePlug you're too kind! but that's not necessary. i'll just look out for your video whenever you post it. i am just finishing my kitchen up now, so can do the dishwasher later, no problem. thank you so much!
@@5thpixel Happy New Year! Here’s the link to a short clip showing how to connect water supply using the plastic adapter:
ua-cam.com/video/vVt5Mlc0Hqc/v-deo.html
my issue is.. the house I'm trying to install the dishwasher in was using a copper pipe line for the hot water and the stainless steel water hose doesn't connect to the copper pipe.. we don't have a fitting that'll work. the copper pipe just hooked straight to the old dishwasher with an attachment that doesn't fit the new dishwasher
It sounds like you'll need to make some changes to your plumbing in order to adapt to the new fittings. Sometimes a union adapter can be used to transition from one line to the other. However, I recommend you contact a plumber for this situation because I'm not too sure of your exact situation. Good Luck!
Great job
Very helpful
THANK YOU!
Thank you! Glad it was helpful.
What does it mean when the washing machine says 4C ive been trying to figure out why it says that every time I turn it on
You prefer side or top dishwasher mount?
My first choice is a top mount when I can secure to the bottom of the counter.
My handyman installed today a new Samsung dishwasher, but we were puzzled that only had 3 plastic legs? 2 in front and 1 in back in middle, there are holes for 2 more on the back but don't hace them, the plastic legs are screw in and out, there were 3 long screws and he put inside the legs, they each have a hole in the middle, the screws are lose, so don't know if this was the screws use, the instructions have nothing about the legs, and can't find anything about the legs, any help will be appreciated
Well done! Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Is it hot or cold? I saw hot from Samsung
Really helpful thanks 💯👌🏾
